Turtle Beach sent me the new VelocityOne Race sim racing wheel to test out and review. I spent many hours testing the wheel in iRacing and Assetto Corsa to see what it's all about.

Just on a note about the dashboard display not working, I had the same issue, got very confused and yeah nowhere has a clear answer. The game has to be selected in the software manually before opening the game. However I instantly purchased simhub as the paid for version switches games automatically and works perfectly with the wheel. I've used it with ACC, AC and BeamNG which are currently the only games I've used it for. As far as I can tell, any game simhub supports, the dashboard should work with when using simhub.

Nice review dude. I instantly assumed those issues described would be the ffb clipping, appreciated you going through your steps to solve this in vid. Hopefully something that can be fixed in a software patch. Other than that, looks like a great product.

What an excellent review. I totally agree with you, when you say its a wheel to watch. I also think you're right about the issues being easily fixed. I really hope they listen as I really think entry level DD systems need competition. Again excellent review.

@@TyrannoCyrusRex it looks a good wheel for an entry level, they'd be daft not to listen in my opinion, as they could have a good competitive product. Let's hope they are able to come onboard PlayStation also, but the way Sony are with allowing other brands of wheels to come on board, I have my doubts.

Great review!!! This package does pack quite a number of dope features. Nice job showing all the pros and cons. Now all it's missing is support for the best selling console with the best selling sim racer 😄

I have one. They are Trash. The force feedback feels so great, until the drive shaft starts breaking loose. then it's total trash can material. For me it was at 60 hours of use. Also from the factory the padel shifters stick on both sides. So you have to drive automatic. DO NOT LET ANYONE TELL YOU THESE ARE WORTH BUYING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I gotta say from a pov of someone with a Logitech pro wheel. The biggest issue you may find with the big size of the base, is that if your rig doesn’t adjust for wheel height, it can get a little annoyingly tall. Like my g pro base definitely sits a bit higher than I’d like… but like you said, not a big problem, and I’ve learn to just adapt👍

I'm having the same FFB issue on iRacing and cant seem to make it go away.
I think they're gonna need to update the firmware, it's so hard to dial out

why most wheels don't support PS5? is it hard to get the support correct or some Sony policies/royalties/requirements to be met?
I'm not sure, but I do recall someone mentioning an extra licensing fee and/or specific chip within the peripheral - but that could be heresay. I wonder if Microsoft funded exclusivity? Not quite sure unfortunately.

@@TyrannoCyrusRex I've used Turtle Beach products before and I've loved them. It's a shame it's not compatible with PlayStation.
Shame no PS support as I would love to have a mid-level wheel and pedal set option from Turtle Beach for when I eventually get GT7.
I really hope it eventually get's PS support!

Is the Logitech ecosystem locked?
I think most sim equipment can be used individually by plugging it directly into the pc, but I'm not entirely sure.
