The Arch Deluxe was freakin' amazing. Their marketing campaign sucked - kids saying 'yuck' when they tried it because it's an 'adult' flavor.
I was in America back in 1996 when it was rolled out all across McDonald's Restaurants nationwide and it was never released in the UK where I am from originally. I ate several of them. It was an amazing burger that had potential to last longer but it was torpedoed by a lousy marketing campaign which basically ran it into landfill territory.
"some found mighty wings more similar to fried chicken"
It's almost like it's chicken that's been deep fried
Wow no way
It’s a conspiracy
ikr
Its like they thought buffalo really have wings
They were advertised as what you get at Buffalo Wild Wings, not KFC
McDonalds banning hotdogs because they don't know what's inside.
The irony.
why they just forget hotdog and not making mchotdog . they Realy STUPID .
Hot dogs are compiled of MINIMALLY: chicken, beef AND/OR pork. It says it RIGHT on the packaging. Unless you pay double and get ALL beef hot dogs. So even the processing manufacturers don't know what's in them. Ground beef however is all cow product... Beef. McDonald's will use fillers to hold the meat together but it is FAR from not knowing what the burgers contain. So, no. No irony. Just a stupid comment about how it's irony > _ >
Tharulerme they started out selling hot dogs lmao
If you actually saw and knew what was in ANY processed meat, you either have iron guts like me or would become a tofu chlorophyll-ivor. If you want to get a master class education, come to Germany and do a little work at a German butcher. NOBODY ON EARTH produces more types of sausages. Yes a hot dog is a sausage. So is salami and any other geometricly perfect meat in a deli. If you only knew. I still eat sausage, but it is slaughtered, and produced by my neighbor the master butcher. I know it's good stuff. Well...as good as sausage can possibly be anyways. You do know it is made from all the leftover scraps and parts after the muscle meat is cut out. Nutrition is a whole other ball game. It still tastes good though.
The irony of people not knowing what 'irony' means

all of this still been serves in every mcdonalds in the philippines, cause people there eats anything lol
Yup, McSpaghetti is still available here in the Philippines! Actually, it became a better one now. It has more sauce and the sweet taste really improved. Here in our country, the Spaghetti is in Filipino style, which means the sauce used for the pasta is sweet.
I think that's why McSpaghetti is still alive and popular here in the Philippines, because it really matches our preferred taste. ^^
(I'm sorry for my English, I'm not really confident on it but I tried my best to share this one to all of you)
Yeah it's so good but they need to discontinued it in other countries
I would actually like to try this so called "McSpaghetti" to see how good is it.

Karl Hiramanek you would get paid less.
OneTwo Doesn't matter because less money can buy more things.

That's about $1.50 in today's market so it was a little more expensive than today.

I must have been strange, I was really fond of the McDLT. It was all I ordered at McDonalds during my High School and early college years (it was actually around quite awhile, came out about 1985 and ran through the early 1990's). In fact, since they did away with it, I really haven't eaten at McDonalds more than a handful of times, last one being like five years ago.
I loved it too. I pretty much quit eating there also. I took my kids for happy meals up untill they made them stop giving away good Happy meal toys. Then I stopped completely.
Sponge Bob I’ve tried it that way and it’s not the same, they’ve changed the flavoring
I did,too.
Well these people are idiots, because the reason why McDs got rid of the McDLT was because of pressure by people overly concerned about packaging. They tried to replace it with the Big & Nasty, but wasn't the same.
@@wendellsawyer4386 Plus, for those who do miss them so much, they could just tell the cashier that they want their lettuce, tomatoes and cheese on the side in a small salad container. A couple of people used to order their burgers like that at the one I used to work at.

McNothing😂😂😂😂
The silver lining here is that the McNothing was on the, "value menu".
McCannibal Burger
The Mc DLT was my favorite burger they sold. I was bummed when they got rid of it. Some places still have the McPizza. Blew my mind when I saw it on the menu. "This is a burger joint!"
Yeah but they don’t have the pizza anymore McDonald’s forced them to stop
:) Me too.
It would make more sense, if McDonald's sold pizza burgers
Hey I remember the McSalad shakers!! I actually liked those when I was a kid.
MiniGemini omg me too!! those were my favorite salads!!! I liked the breakfast bagels too, remember those!!
@@StickWorldSeries I don't remember breakfast bagels but that sounds amazing!

In Bulgaria we have the McToast (which is two buns pressed together with a ham and cheese filling). We have it for decades and people love it.
So basically a toasted ham and cheese sandwich. Pretty standard fare, not surprised that a fast food place dabbled in it.
You mean grilled cheese
Mc Grilled Cheese!
Sounds good.
In Austria is the McToast served for breakfast. in three different types: cheese and ham, cheese and bacon and only cheese. Some restaurents serve a McToast DeLuxe with Ruccola

who else finds ot hillarious that when a person puts the mcdlt together, it looks lile they have invented something new
Whoa! If you put meat and lettuce and tomato and cheese together......it tastes GOOD!
key the Castaway, I have made fire scene
I was working at McD's when the McDLT debuted. We all tried it on the day it was introduced and figured it tasted like a Whopper. It was the first McD's burger with lettuce and tomatoes so it was actually groundbreaking for them. Hard to believe.. add lettuce and tomatoes to a burger and it's a new thing when every other burger joint was already doing it for decades.
The McDLT would've worked better if they put the cheese on the hot side.
Aura Gael would’ve been better if they added bacon.
Yeah melty gooey goodness, but you could try to remove it and do it yourself. Lol 😂
i dont think my locations ever got the McDLT as i dont remember it.
Exactly!
Not really. The MCDLT was basically a pointless edition. Most people eat the burger right there, or just drive several minutes to their house. It was unnecessary to separate the burger.
the krusty krab pizza. is the pizza, for you and me.
Hey! where's my drink?
Gladys Ceniza you didn't order any
How am I supposed to eat my pizza without my drink?!
mc pizza!
i will never understand the hate the McDLT receives.
Saw a comment that said it took to long to make and another that said the styrofoam was the problem. I can’t confirm or deny those or agree with you cause it was widely discontinued in most places by the time I was born.
@@michaelwhite6337 it was the packaging. Ironically about the same time the beverage industry was moving away from returnable bottles to disposable plastic bottles.
"No McDonald's ANYWHERE Makes A McDLT Anymore"
LOL
the biggest mcfail i experienced was a regular menu item gone wrong. i ordered a filet 'o fish one time, and when i took a bite, there were 3 chicken nuggets in the burger instead of the fish.... 3...... 3 nuggets, nobody accidentally puts 3 nuggets in a fish burger, they had 2 extra hand movements to think about what they were doing, that shit was done intentionally.
I went to a McDonald's for breakfast once and they were completely out of ketchup. Oh well, that's what I get for going to a McD's in a ghetto part of town.
DreadlockDrummer not as bad as my experience. Ordered a big back and all they gave me was buns with no meat
Sounds like they did you a favour.
I loved the Mighty Wings.
I did too
i did also, but people are right though if you could have them tossed in buffalo bbq or whatever that would have made a huge difference than plain fried chicken, the chicken itself was good quality too. but yeah I've got to give respect for mc d's because i don't know any other fast food chains that sell wings, i think kfc did for a little while, and i live right next to a sheets gas station that has a fast food menu with wings that are pretty good but i don't think they have them anymore either. in reality though screw the fast food places i'll just get the traditional hot wings from pizza hut and be happy, we have a ginos that has wings but they look/taste like they came out of a Chinese slaughterhouse.
Same 😭
yugioh guy I did too. i seriously wished they kept it
me too..they did taste good
The McDLT was the best thing they ever invented. The concept worked because it actually DID make the burger taste crisp and FRESH. I never been a fan of McDonald's food -- but I loved THAT sandwich.
I don’t care if they’re failed, I’m hungry.

my big problem with the McDLT - the cheese was on the cool side, nestled between the lettuce & tomato. everybody knows cheese needs to be put on the hot pattie to melt! only a psychopath would want to eat a burger with cold cheese. Ewwwww.
Jerrod Tibor that was the best sandwich they ever had. Trust me
@@db-hj9cu i have to admit, once i took it apart & re-assembled it, the burger was pretty good.
Jerrod Tibor lol. I'd like to see them give it one more try.
Omfg, thank you. I've been saying that about Taco Bell (and sometimes Del Taco) FOR YEARS! Why is that they do this?! To put the shredded cheese ON TOP of the cold lettuce and tomatoes... That's just wrong. Deserves to melt next to the beef
takes too long to package, people don't like to wait.

McDonald's in Japan still had McHotDogs when I was there in 2015, and they were on the breakfast menu!
The best thing I ever had at McDonald's in Japan, though, was a limited-time special back in the spring of 2006: the Sweet Chili Ebi Filet-O. It was a fried, breaded shrimp patty on a bun, with a sweet, spicy chili sauce. SO GOOD! I remember when McDonald's was forced to advertise much more healthier foods on TV. Well guess what happened? The public basically said, "We go to McDonald's for Burgers, Fries, McNuggets and McFlurries! We don't give a f**k about your Carrot Sticks!"
it did in Australia :3
The McLean was the answer to calm critics here in America and nobody wanted it.
In my country fast food ads in tv are not permited. yey
I know lol. It always annoys me how people always tell me that McDonalds aren't healthy when they're not supposed to be
Bee, that is actually a good thing. True healthy Americans would agree that fast food should have minimal advertising. But as alcohol and tobacco are already too limited, fast food and Wal-Mart have to keep generating the money somehow. also, the pizza not only took a while to get from mcdonalds (despite the use of special steam ovens) the ovens also required a great deal of space and widening of the drive through windows. they were also quite expensive for what they were, compared to the relatively cheap options youd find at McDs. if you wanted food the price of a pizza, not that it was bad from McDs, but there were better options

I loved the McDLT. It actually was a decent burger, even though it was basically just the quarter pounder patty and bun at its' core.
The McDLT when McDonald's discovered that you can put tomatoes on burgers 😂 😂
The problem was the cheese was on the cool side and did not melt. Needed to be on the hot side. Cold cheese sucks on a hot burger.
My dad said that when he was a teenager growing up in the 80s the Mc DLT was his favorite McDonald’s sandwich
From what I recall, the McDonald's in Spencer, West Virginia still offers the McPizza in one way or another.

Fun fact: Starting in 2007, a few McDonald’s locations began selling the McHotDogs in central Pennsylvania due to popular demand from local sports fans, where they can be found at 12 locations as of 2011. In Tokyo, McHotDogs were also available from 1990 to 2004. Strangely enough, they have been reintroduced on the breakfast menu in 2009.

I loved the Pizza. Did suck having to wait for it, but it was good. What was funny is that they didn't think about the size of the box... there were a lot of McDonald's locations where it didn't fit thru the drive-thru window. Anyways, if the wait time killed it maybe it would work better today now that you can pre-order with an app and then go pick it up... or delivered. Hmmm?

you forgot one thing the mc lobster is one of the categories of horrible fast food ever one time a customer went to mc Donald's and order a mc lobster but the employee says they don't serve it any more because one of the parts of the lobster was raw not thoroughly cooked so she got angry and causing a seen.
Still it had no Ruis McFeast in it (Rye McFeast) from Finland ... does it not look tasty ?

The McPizza and McSpaghetti is still at the big Mcdonalds with 3 floors 1 being an arcade in Orlando Florida.
The guy's face on the thumbnail had me dying 😂😂😂😂😂
The Mc DLT of the 80's was good! One of my all-time favorites at Mc Donalds.
McDonalds should bring back the McWrap it's bigger than a snack wrap but it still taste good and sadly not on the menu anymore.
Suicidal Forest you're lucky because I live in America.
No it isn't.
I think i have something like it but not neccisalrilly a mcwrap
22martinez1 ummm yes they do .... I actually saw the ad before this video
vegemite I live in the United States and the McDonalds that I go to doesn't have it on the menu. Maybe if you're somewhere who lives around the world if you do have McWraps then cool you're lucky and fortunate to have those.
Onion nuggets?!? I would totally eat those. Then I would also totally have heartburn forever.
Yep...I remember the McHotdogs. They were rolled out in the UK back in 2001 or so and they were quite good. Still though, it was a bit strange to go to McDonald's to get hot dogs. Same went for McDonald's Pizza back in the early 90's, it washed up on our shores as well. The pizza was good but it took too long to prepare and I was waiting nearly half an hour for my pizza every time.
The McDLT is the only one that stood a decent chance, because it actually seems like a product McDonald's would make. I well and expected that one to survive.
i worked at MC Donald's when they had mighty wings I ate the fuck out of them at the end of the night
good
I remember them when i was younger they should bring them back.
Me too ! LMAO
+ImNKB lol how old are you
OH, sht RICK GRIMES! XD
anybody remember the Mcrib?
Yes I do!!!! Why didn't they mention it?
Scott Destan yeah idk why they didn't mention it either
jaclynn marie They still have the McRib here in Indiana but its only at certain times of the year.
Do NOT come on here with your BLASPHEMOUS talk. The McRib was the perfect blend of BBQ McAwesomeness
its still around depending were you live
I had the pizza and pasta in Orlando Florida in 2018, it was delicious! The difference is you can customize it at the kiosk and create whatever you want. Plus it's the largest McDonald's in the world!
The best type of video to watch when you got a bad hangover 😂
Only reason McSpaghetti is still served in the Philippines is b/c they need it to keep up w/ Jollibee's (Filipino fast food) extensive menu. Both even serve fried chicken meals like KFC.
Bring on the spicy chicken joy and some halo halo
Murphey Its You heck yeah
The mushroom pepper steak is the best thing on the menu.
jp3813 mcadobo
I like The Mcnuggets in Philippines
Funny part? They suceeded in other countries
Mcdonald's fried chicken and fish&chips sold way better than the burgers in indonesia.
Raynold Regan do you think that might have something to do with it being an archipelago?
yup.
It's understandable why these McProducts failed. Many were copycats from restaurants that specialized in them, hence made them of higher quality, or had virtually patented them. For instance, the Chopped Beefsteak Sandwich was a clone of Jack-in-the-Box's Jack Steak, made of similarly ground and compressed beef. BTW, another McFlop was the QLT ("Quality Lettuce and Tomato"), a Quarter Pounder with, well, lettuce and tomato, sort of a precursor to the McDLT. Thanks for posting this history of McTurkeys! (Yes, McD's once had a Turkey BLT, one of five "Oven Selects" deli sandwiches that also included Buffalo Chicken, Beef n' Provolone, Leaning Tower Italian, and New York Reuben, for four bucks a pop. Add those to the flop crop.)
So apparently, they took the failure of the chopped steak sandwich, used pork instead, called it a McRib and had a hit!
The chopped steak sandwich *wasn't* a failure, it tasted good. The *price* was the failing point.
