I don’t know how this guy doesn’t win MLB Executive of the Year. He’s, without a shadow of a doubt, the best GM in MLB. What he’s done with the O’s is nothing short of a miracle.
I gonna miss Hays. He was one of my favorites, but wish him the best of luck in Philly. At least he is going to a winning team, and not some dumpster fire.
Can we please put Suarez in the bullpen to see if his starting success translates to relief success and he becomes our shut down closer? Can we also put Chayce McDermott in the bullpen since our rotation is set for this year and next year, and he has tremendous swing & miss stuff with location issues that won’t be a factor in the bullpen. So, if he puts it together as a reliever he could EASILY be the shutdown closer we are missing right now, and shutdown setup man next year for Felix, especially considering his ability to go 2+ innings with ease based on his experience as a starter. Sometimes the best trade line acquisitions come from within, and the starters we got set us up perfectly to have that happen!
Is Elias trying to win in 2 or 3 years? We can win now so why not go all out and get quality pitching at the deadline. If he doesn't think we can win now then he didn't have to do anything. I still think he messed up at the trade deadline. If he went after Skubal and Scott, this team would have ha a great chance to win it all. He could have given up Mayo, Basallo, Povich and McDermott plus couple others for those 2
As good a job as Mike Elias has done building the farm team,He did absolutely nothing to help this team move forward in the second half. His trade deadline moves were head scrathing and embarrassing.
I agree!!! But they got to give him consecutive games of play! Not 1 game and sit the bench for 2-3 games! It’s hard for a player to get in a hitting grove not having a the opportunity to play everyday for an extended period of time! I’ve watched Heston play from his freshman season at Arkansas till now! I know he can do when given a chance!
In Elias We Trust 🫡

Very smart, direct and informative answers.
Loosing westburg is huge. 2 starters done for weeks now. Stay positive
Good to see the O”s have new owners. Hopefully, they can bring back the Oriole way!
Miss the Cal and Eddie days!
McDermott absolutely has the makings of being a lights out closer with 2+ inning capabilities and a 17+K/9 line from the closer role.

The elephant in the room is the overpay question for Trevor Rogers!
it's not an overpay to trade guys who would never become daily starters on the team
Rogers has a lot of upside and I think he’ll benefit greatly from playing on a winning team.
@@SaintMichael-js5khI hope you’re right.Im not seeing it though.
Terrible moves Mike
I wish you would have traded Kjerstad! Because all you’re going to do is waste him!
You're wild. He's going to be an incredible Oriole.

He’s the everyday RF next year. We aren’t resigning Santander, sadly.
