@swerv222 just put a SMALL drop of honey in the test tube. If the drop is too big, they won't be able to eat all of it, and this will cause problems for the colony. A week later, give them the same thing along with half of a mealworm. You can watch my first fire ant video for more info, as I feature a small camponotus colony in it. Where do you get most of your ant colonies from? Because I Mostly get mine from Stateside.
I wild catch all of them except my Camponotus pensylvannicus which I got from Atlantic Ants.

Any tips I can get my carpenter ants first ants hatched
Feed them a small amount of honey that they could eat all at once, and the following week give them half of a mealworm(make sure it's dead).
