My favorite #italian #christmas #cookie. Here's my secret tip for getting them right each time. The full recipe is on ciaoitalia.com Buon Appetito! www.ciaoitalia...
My Nana is passed, and we used to make these together when I was a little boy. I totally forgot she chilled the dough and this reminded me of my job of rolling the dough into little balls. I got a Pizzelle iron for Christmas last year, so first time making them since I was 5!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO YOU AND THE FAMILY MARY ANN 💗 THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL ... THE KIDDIES ARE GOING TO LOVE THESE . SOO IM TRYING THIS RECIPE FOR CHRISTMAS 😋 THANKS DOLL 🤍
I found two pizzelle makers at the thrift store and was able to gift one to my SIL, whose family is Italian. We made a batch with the maker we kept and they turned out great! I'm going to try your tip for chilling and rolling them this week!
Merrry Christmas Southern Garden Gig, Just wondering if you ended up making the Chilled and rolled Pizzelles ? I am curious about Recipes that are different (rather than the usual recipes that use liquidy batter….anyway would love to hear how they turned out and also the recipe for….if you don’t mind? Happy New Year Neighbour from across the River….Thanks!!
They look beautiful! Very festive looking. My husband and I made them a few years ago with his mother's pizzell maker, but we didn't put the sprinkles in. Maybe we will try that this year and give some as gifts😊
How can you clean this type of pizzelle maker? I am able to remove the plates but having trouble removing baked on grease. It looks blackened, I’ve used a bristle brush but not sure if a wire brush would be too harsh. It’s not a non-stick, it appears to be metal, perhaps iron. It’s not the same model as yours but it is similar in how the plates look. I got it at a thrift store, otherwise I probably wouldn’t worry as much. Not sure if it’s inevitable that it will have baked on grease.

The design on the pizzelle make is beautiful. Can you share what brand it is?

Can you freeze the raw pizelle dough?
Can you store the dough in the refrigerator for a few days?
Did you ever find out the answer to your question
Ciao, sono italiana e faccio sempre le pizzelle, in Italia NON si mettono MAI i confettini colorati.
