I have one that works perfectly with steam on pc and my PlayStation 4 I believe that they just put ps4 motherboard inside with few modifications to controller. But first one I got was horrible it had same issues as you so they sent me a replacement one that worked better then first one.
The fact that these actually work on a PS4 unlike a PS5 controller makes a good use case for them if you want a controller that is in the shape of a Dual sense controller but to use on your PS4.
@The tricky tick I doubt that I got a Chinese knock off PS3 controller way back in the day that still works to this day. It was a replica PS3 controller made to look exactly like a Dualshock 3 only reason I got it because it was green which was not a color that Sony sold officially

Any problems with it? For me the R2 breaks easily but I have found a permanent DIY fix making the triggers instant. There is a rare R3 bug. I removed the vibration modules though.

Well I had a bunch of knock off controllers for the PS2 and the Xbox 360 back in the day and never had any problems, I also have a so called "Triple A" PS4 replica controller and so far it has never failed or anything

I just reset by the reset pinhole in the back of the controller and the endless vibration stops. You have to plug it in using the USB-C cable it comes with to relink up to the console. Any time it as a problem just reset it. I had issues at first where my character wanted to run off on me and I just push the button to link to another controller and then set it back to the other. The problem went away. And never came back. Thumbsticks are a lot stiffer. I like them as they are great for aiming. Overall for 3rd party, it is great for the money. I had much worse for the same price. I love the Turbo button. It is high quality for 3rd party. 2-3 hours charge time and 8-10 hours play depending on game settings. You could get 12 hours with a speaker off, dimming the light bar, and the vibration is off. It has an 800mah battery yet PS4 1st party as is 1000mah. It must have lower power usage circuitry. The only thing I hate is slips out of my hand easily as it as a soft surface on the back. Plan to get KontrolFreek PS5 Freek grips for it.
At least they sold them as knock off's. I've bought dual shock 4 controllers on eBay several times and have them not actually be dual shock fours for. I'm a bit of a "Tech guy" myself, and I can tell as soon as I hold them, if not, as soon as I open them up. Great video. I just subbed.
What’s funny is that you can take real DualShock 4 buttons and stick them in a knockoff. I did it with a fake DualShock 3 also. The DS3 shell is different from all the knockoffs I’ve had. I did make a fake 360 wireless controller look real using real buttons and shell. Just no headphone jack and it has a USB dongle because it’s not an OEM 360 controller. Also worked on a PS3 for some reason
The thing with a lot of cheap controllers is the touch pad doesn't always work or they don't have 3 buttons in the touch pad like on DS4 or DS you can press left, right and middle. The motion controls don't always work either. Its always better just to stick to the official controllers for the best experience
Had a couple fake ps2 dual shocks from eBay this last year. Didn’t think people would want to knock those off but.. I could tell they were different by the font. If photos don’t show every little detail you’re looking for it could be fake!

I customized my buddy’s knockoff Xbox 360 controller to make it look real using a broken real controller shell and buttons. It might work to do the same here, but with a PS5 controller shell and buttons. (Edit: autocorrect messed up)
I bought this exact controller on Ali for use with my Japanese import PS4 Pro and actually prefer it over my legit packed-in one (which has left stick drift issues after two years.) The sticks feel tighter than the DS4 which I like. I can't speak with regards to its haptic feedback capabilities (or its PS5 compatibility for that matter) because I don't own a PS5, but the box and seller do specifically state it works on both. I did once have it vibrate continuously, but found out from the seller that there's a pinhole on the back to reset it (which resolved the issue). It's been consistently great and the vibration issue only happened once despite daily use.

@@madarauchiha4298 Yes, can confirm. Used a pair of Sony headbuds via aux and there was some low static. Also a loud buzzing pop when plugging it in when sound was coming already coming through. I didn't notice this at first as I often use Bluetooth headphones connected to the TV directly. This definitely would be a make or break factor for many people.
This just happened to me last night playing with my family. The controller kept vibrating and wouldn’t turn off. You just saved me 13 minutes of my life good sir lol thank you!!! ☝🏽
Something else to keep an eye out for is the R2 if you play a lot of shooting games. HZD broke my R2 spring twice then GTA 5 broke the internal plastic of the R2 button. I found a good DIY solution that turns them into fast triggers without using the spring. Maybe be gentle with the triggers if you play such games...
I think those controllers are real DualShock 4 Wireless Controllers in a fake shell. This is actually because of the way he described it, the fact that the console recognizes it a DualShock and the way that lights on the controller work
I do own an OEM ps4 controller. It's not bad actually. Works perfectly except that the blinking light during charging went off after an hour before complete full charge. The controller also feels lighter than the original. Thats about it

I had to modify them extensively with a scalpel. I also painted it with spray paint so its a custom HZD FW starry theme. I also removed its vibration modules to save power but get vibration beeps in HZD. I had the vibration bug (shown in a different YT video) once on the white one before I removed the modules, the black one hasn't had the vibration bug. Battery life seems okay. I will replace it with an official dualsense battery when it becomes weaker. Overall its a comfortable budget controller for the ps4.
Update: The R2 on this controller falls apart easily. The cheap internal plastic of the button breaks in addition to the spring breaking easily. I found a DIY solution @ me if you need more details. Also there is a rare R3 bug that can be fixed by resetting and the R3 wears in nice, no stick drift after all those months.
I bought two of these and the vibrating thing happened to me when playing it wouldn’t stop even when I shut off ps4 but how I ended up fixing it I held down the home button and that worked never had the problem ever since but was kind of scary didn’t want it to blow up or catch fire oh by the way best ps4 controller I’ve ever owned definitely recommend these
@@jamesoliver8477 It depends on the types of games you play. If you play horizon zero dawn and games where you let go of the R2 aggressively like bow and arrow games R2 will break. I have had 2 of those controllers so far and the R2 broke on both. The issue is not the spring, its the type of plastic used. It seems weaker than the internals in the dualsense. I bought official buttons to replace the broken internal piece of the button but its not 1 to 1. Now my triggers are half pressed. Its no big deal to me but if you want to keep the original parts in one piece I recommend removing the spring. I also removed the vibration motors so I dont get that vibrating bug anymore. Occasionally the right stick goes crazy but resetting it fixes it. Dont get me wrong I love the controller but its not perfect. You might have to tweak it slightly
I saw another review and some people say that delay is higher with those controllers. Anyone who has it. How have being your experience with the delay?
There is no delay its just that the axis/deadzone feels bigger for competitive games i never tried this controller yet but judging of my experience with ds4 copies im pretty sure its gonna feel the same cuz its a "ps4 controller" so prolly same hardware on the inside as the copy ds4
Good Review. Got the white one for my ps4. Amazon announced it as real ps4 controller and i saw it coming up here and there under different brands. I like it. Looks nice and it's also usable with tablets and android too. I play ps4 and different emulators on my phone/tablet. Just press share and home at the same time till the led around the touchpad flashes fast and you can connect with BT to different things If you want it for ps4 it's a good alternative
For me the spring and internal plastic of the R2 broke. Be careful if you playshooting games. I found a solution that turns them into instant triggers without the spring though. My advice is dont buy tougher springs, it may break the plastic more easily...

Haha. I use the official real dual sense PS5 controller on Steam & emulators. RPCS3 supports them already and download DS4 Windows to act as a Xbox 360 controller for Dinput for Nintendo emulators. I would not buy a knockoff ever again from Amazon thinking they were the real ones lol. Bestbuy is where I go now for my controller needs.
Oh and the fake ps5 controller will auto disconnect on a ps4 and ps5 due to the oem signing! If it dosent detect an oem controller it will drop them out!
Can you swap the shell from this controller to an original PS5 controller? (All except the center part with the Home button of course) I just liked some colors and wondered if I can swap the plastics.

@@TheSammiches some of the buttons are different eg the triggers and bumpers. They are slightly different but L1 and R1 can be modified to fit, R2 and L2 dont fit. I havent tried changing shells, for that the screws might be the problem but I'm not sure.

It's great! Mine was gifted to me used and it doesn't sustain more than 3 hours of charge so that may be why but it connects neatly while using DS4Windows so you spoof the PC into seeing it as an XBox360 controller. Connects with Bluetooth without dongle, all the good ish

That's a easy fix if it continues like that hit the reset button on the back of it . Plus the way to avoid that is to turn off the vibration

I tried switching the buttons with an all white ps5 button set and they were fine apart from L1 and R1. I had to modify them extensively with a scalpel. I also painted it with spray paint so its a custom HZD FW starry theme. I also removed its vibration modules to save power but get vibration beeps in HZD.
I had the vibration bug (shown in a different YT video) once on the white one before I removed the modules, the black one hasn't had the vibration bug. Battery life seems okay. I will replace it with an official dualsense battery when it becomes weaker.
Overall its a comfortable budget controller for the ps4.
Update: The R2 on this controller falls apart easily. The cheap internal plastic of the button breaks in addition to the spring breaking easily. I found a DIY solution @ me if you need more details. Also there is a rare R3 bug that can be fixed by resetting and the R3 wears in nice, no stick drift after all those months.
How about the microphone with jack ?
I haven't tried this yet. I only play offline games, will give it a shot then get back to you.
38 dollars is a bit too much for a offbrand ps4 controller
Its around 20 now but considering it works on ps4 and ps5 its a pretty good buy

I bought two of these and the vibrating thing happened to me when playing it wouldn’t stop even when I shut off ps4 but how I ended up fixing it I held down the home button and that worked never had the problem ever since but was kind of scary didn’t want it to blow up or catch fire oh by the way best ps4 controller I’ve ever owned definitely recommend these

@@jamesoliver8477 It depends on the types of games you play. If you play horizon zero dawn and games where you let go of the R2 aggressively like bow and arrow games R2 will break. I have had 2 of those controllers so far and the R2 broke on both. The issue is not the spring, its the type of plastic used. It seems weaker than the internals in the dualsense. I bought official buttons to replace the broken internal piece of the button but its not 1 to 1. Now my triggers are half pressed. Its no big deal to me but if you want to keep the original parts in one piece I recommend removing the spring. I also removed the vibration motors so I dont get that vibrating bug anymore. Occasionally the right stick goes crazy but resetting it fixes it. Dont get me wrong I love the controller but its not perfect. You might have to tweak it slightly

No special delay all games played fine just like the DS4
There is no delay its just that the axis/deadzone feels bigger for competitive games i never tried this controller yet but judging of my experience with ds4 copies im pretty sure its gonna feel the same cuz its a "ps4 controller" so prolly same hardware on the inside as the copy ds4

Good Review. Got the white one for my ps4. Amazon announced it as real ps4 controller and i saw it coming up here and there under different brands. I like it. Looks nice and it's also usable with tablets and android too. I play ps4 and different emulators on my phone/tablet.
Just press share and home at the same time till the led around the touchpad flashes fast and you can connect with BT to different things
If you want it for ps4 it's a good alternative
I brought one of these Has nice turbo feature but trigger buttons has spring that is too weak and to much trouble to take apart
For me the spring and internal plastic of the R2 broke. Be careful if you playshooting games. I found a solution that turns them into instant triggers without the spring though. My advice is dont buy tougher springs, it may break the plastic more easily...
In my experience all cheap knock off controllers are awful

I think I'll get one of those for my PC just to play some emulators and some games, for competitive games mouse and keyboard will do their job

Haha. I use the official real dual sense PS5 controller on Steam & emulators. RPCS3 supports them already and download DS4 Windows to act as a Xbox 360 controller for Dinput for Nintendo emulators. I would not buy a knockoff ever again from Amazon thinking they were the real ones lol. Bestbuy is where I go now for my controller needs.

im pretty sure you could since most of the dimensions are the same, im gonna buy this controller soon and some donor parts like the buttons and stuff to see if it fits
@@TheSammiches some of the buttons are different eg the triggers and bumpers. They are slightly different but L1 and R1 can be modified to fit, R2 and L2 dont fit. I havent tried changing shells, for that the screws might be the problem but I'm not sure.
@@madarauchiha4298 i think its because r2 and l2 use the same trigger system as the ps4? maybe the have a different structure in the inside that makes them different, but every other button fits perfectly for me

It's great! Mine was gifted to me used and it doesn't sustain more than 3 hours of charge so that may be why but it connects neatly while using DS4Windows so you spoof the PC into seeing it as an XBox360 controller. Connects with Bluetooth without dongle, all the good ish
Don't buy these, they stop working in a few weeks of use, waste of money.
