Thank you for these videos - now I can send them to my friends and finally have somebody to play mp with 😅 Have a very merry Christmas and a happy new year ❤️ Thank you again, keep up the good work 💪
14/14 Series. Very much enjoyed, you’ve gotten me back into hoi. I got the game on release and was burned by the lack of flavour in the early days, and by the time I returned there were too many moving parts for me to know where to start, but your every click videos have helped me catch up on everything properly. Merry Christmas Dave!
Theres a little "exploit" about commandeering trains by the way, when you have the Armoured Trains researched first, you actually get 15 Armoured Trains instead of 15 Normal Undefendable Trains by via commandeering them.
1:32:00 Dave: We’re out of manpower, we need to beg for garrison support. Also Dave: let’s deploy 60 troops we don’t need onto the front line. Hm, I wonder where the manpower went. Dave! 😉
I learned so much from this video that I didn’t know even after playing for 500 hours. Explaining things like “I’m queueing up these upgrades by shift clicking” or “the missing production factories get filled from top to bottom” really makes the video an excellent learning tool. Thank you
Those 14 days where amazing! Thank you, Dave. And your videos felt something fresh. I might as well force my friend who doesn’t know how to play hoi to watch them all
From my Poland playthroughs I noticed that game probably counts not the factories you can use, but the factories build in states that you control. Therefore, unused factories from Danzig could be the reason why you can click the research slot when theoretically not having enough factories.
Great video as always. It's weird the term "min-maxing" seems to be now interchangeable with "try-hardy/ing". As far as I recall 'min-max' means to spend like all character points into strength and zero points into health; meaning you are min Hp, Max dmg/dps; aka a glass cannon. But according to the evolution of coloquialisms, so long as people understand the meaning, the original definition actually no longer really matters and it happens all the time. I guess you could make the argument, its like "min naval, maximum Horse"! :) Anywho; merry Christmas Dave; thanks for all the content, research, scripting, testing and everything in-between! Wishing you and yours the best❤
Thank you for doing the every single click videos, I really appreciate having a solid series to binge alongside my own games without missing details from all the cuts most others put in.
I have really loved these every single click videos. Thank you so much for them! They've helped me get through some long nights of insomnia and been amazingly insightful in teaching newbies like me in how to play so kudos for wonderful videos. I hope you have a wonderful yule/christmas/hanukah and get some well deserved rest after completing this campaign of clicks.
It's hard to say that Poland in hoi4 is a minor :p it's crazy OP powerhouse, however it requires some shenanigans to not get taken down by 2 great powers
to be fair they were pretty strong irl too they could've handled Germany at least enough to weaken them if the Allies didn't tell them not to mobilize + if they didn't get tag teamed by two world powers with little will or ability to be assisted by world powers
To minimize the clicks while assigning new divisions to generals you can right-click on the field marshal. It will evenly split the units on all the generals under him, prioritizing the ones with lower unit counts. ( Works perfectly if you intend to have equally large armies). Thanks for the content, the strategy is brilliant.
2:28 For tanks and trucks makes total sense: there’s a much bigger chance the vehicle breaks when it’s actually driving unlike when it’s just being railroaded on top of a flatcar
Thank you man, I think HOI4 became too complicated for me, I still don't know how railroads and supply works in 100% so everything that came after was only more confusing, also it broke a lot of my favourite mods so I lost interest, videos like yours help me connect back to the game and learn a lot so thanks again!
It’s not that difficult to learn the hard/annyoing part is being able to manage it with the other 40 systems they added I feel your pain but I cannot stop playing 😭
This was a great series! The last two weeks have done more to improve my understanding and enjoyment of hoi4 than the 500+ hours of playtime I had before. Thanks and I hope you keep it going!
These were some great 14 days, I hope it wasn't to intense for you. From someone who doesn't play Hoi4, I watched every episode the day they dropped. Good job, Dave!
Dave! I have watched every single one of these in it’s entirety. It’s like Netflix for me. Thank you for this beautiful entertainment and it’s made me a much better player.
Your every single click videos teached me so much. I watched a lot of other content creators, but never learned much. I just finished two games as germany and china and had the most fun in Hoi4 ever!
30:00 one thing I like to do is spam the tiny cav division and then convert it all to big division untill ALL my manpower is in the field. then after it finishes reinforcing I start to train my normal divisions, getting either as many divisions in training as I need or my entire army in training. then I delete all divisions in the field. Because the amount of army you can train is based on how much manpower in the field you got it means that's the max amount you'd be able to train at once that way I dont pay anything to get my army from lv1 to lv2 and I don't need to wait ages for it to be ready. most divisions take like 3 months to train on their own
I'm a Poland Main and this was super fun to watch, learned a lot aswell, idk if you've ever tried making light tank divisions early on, but you can fit them with cavalry for the org, and HP, and they're still speedy.
Great video! I've only seen one time, while playing as historical France, that Britain did not aid Poland. They didn't even guarantee them. I didn't really think too much about it, since it gave me more time to prepare for war, but there were some unforeseen consequences. That being Poland capitulated out of a faction, so Germany essentially annexed them making them stronger. Also, since Poland was "dead", I couldn't give them the historical land concessions after the war (east prussia, silesia, etc) bc I could only liberate them in their old core provinces. Not too big of a deal overall, but found it interesting.
(1:16:49) So the last time I checked, though that was over a year ago, General traits on Field Marshals apply to all divisions under that Field Marshal at 50% effectiveness. So having an Infantry Expert Field Marshal gives 5% Infantry Attack to all Divisions under him.
Yo feedback. One thing to say and i hope you read this. Over the years of watching your videos i've realized that i like those 30min ones the most since i watch you before sleep so 30mins is perfect to be able to watch it in one or 2 nights. But these 1.5+ hour ones...ou boi..now i'm looking at those 49minutes watched after 4days and i'm really starting to think that this series of almost 2 hours per video are gonna keep me going for the next month xD
I love playing Poland. I’m not great at HOI4, despite my addiction, and I love holding out on two fronts once restoring the commonwealth for as long as I can
When I play Poland, the front normally stalls around Warsaw in the north, Lodz in the west, and Katowice in the south after which the Germans are simply unable to push. Sometimes I even end up making them unable to push France.
I have watched for years when i am on high school now I am studying on college and you start upload daily videos damn man its like 2018 i love you dave
Poland has been my favorite nation to play for years. It's in the perfect place in terms of balance for offering just enough of a base to be competitive with the majors without making the game feel too easy like it does playing a major. My favorite runs have been Poland unaligned WC runs going it alone. Really like their focus tree too, even has the hidden fascist cavalry route, lots of flavor
Hey Dave! I did my own Poland along with your play through. One thing I found is that the German's loose a lot of org in the north. Within a month I took Memel and Konigsburg. I did focus more on the Artillery techs than industry techs. A funny thing here. The Soviets kept justifying on me and cancelling because Romania has the border XD
For the first time ever I think I actually have a tip for you instead of just learning from you for a change. When you are adding the units to your divisions so the generals are commanding 30 divisions, you can just right click the divisions onto the field martial instead of the generals and it automatically splits them onto the generals assigned to the field martial and saves you a load of splitting and clicking. You do this around 1:16:00. It really saves time and clicks big time.
1:24 Impossibility to paraller proceding plan West and East was a real, historical problem of polish General Staff- just not enough trained staff officers and support crew to make them both in the same time. So, in September 39 Poland had no ready defense plan West
Yay Poland Castle! And it's stronk! Ironicly i could see that it's success in the new alternate history make Polish the new Eastern menance instead of the Soviet since Poland suddenly become so powerful now. And good job on defeating the German, i find they are really powerful in 1939 and my success require me to either wait a bit longer before fighting German or fully focus on the German since i cannot hold both Soviet and German at the same time, that Hungary exploit would be helpful in my future playthrough though.
Watching this one is a little painful, poor feedback sounds absolutely destroyed. Hope you feel better soon mate, take some time for yourself and rest up if you can.
Something I remember you showing years ago, was if you 'railroad' units moving by sea they would get a speed boost. I still do it, but I'm not actually sure if it actually does anything.
@davefeedbackgaming Sorry if already said, the "arrow" didn't pop for your guns, because the MIO wasn't yet upgraded, so the production line had no reason to think it needed to upgrade
Just one thing Dave. Left opposition in Poland isin't at that time communist. It was more democratic. Communists were a different thing. Basically after leader of Sanation Józef Piłsudski died, they divided into 3 parts: right wing with Rydz Śmigły - military and old guard, left wing, more socialist and democratic, but not ultra democratic with Walery Sławek and the middle ground with Ignacy Mościcki, current president of Poland. On unassigned troops, if you just select them, and right click the martial, it auto-distributes to the generals. If you already have them assigned to a general, I forget how to unassign generals, but if you select all but one troop, it also auto splits.
Suggestion: When spy gets captured, even triggers and you get three choices. 1. Bribe, lose 10% consumer goods factories for 90 days 2. Spy attempts to flee and go into hiding for 60 days. 3. Start rescue operation. #1 and #2 has a 10% chance to fail. Overall, the whole spy system is to click-intensive, same as some other subsystems such as MIO's.
Dave, little trick about the free train button. If you have researched armored trains and you click that button you get free armored trains instead of civilian trains ;)
amazing, finally someone talked about how the ideologies don't make sense. I can't wait to hear someone say how the American focus tree is four DLCs behind and has broken focuses in it.
Final day already? :( Anyways merry Christmas Dave and hope you make your way to ESCing Czechoslovakia. It did not give you the MIO upgrade arrow on the infantry equipment because you had no MIO assigned to it.
The reason they suffer attrition when walking instead of railroading is because in real life when we drive our trucks or go on a field op(prior army) we have vehicles break down and sometimes we loose magazines or weapons break however when there tied down on the rail line or in a box on a train they don’t break. It’s small mechanic that makes it more realistic

Hey really nice Guide! One Question, i got every DLC but there isnt a button for me to add the military industrial organization in the production, either there isnt a green Tank, red plane and so on in the politics thing in my game ... any ideas why? Thanks!
You can't cancel agrarian reform focus, because it adds 70 days to the peasant strike timer (that's why you thought you had time, but if you subtract that 70 days you're not that far away)
THE FINAL every single click video. Merry Christmas guys
