Never seen plow points fasten on like that before Dan, I'd check the nuts again after you've plowed a few rounds. Great video, catch you next time. Peter 🇬🇧🚜
I don’t remember what model 3 bottom plow dad had back in the 50s on a ZA but it was plow bolts and 14 inch. I changed many plow shears on that plow. We had a black smith that sharpened the shears. We had 2 sets for each plow, one being sharpened and one on the plow.
When you get the tires changed out and everything greased and freed up that plow is going to work great. I can wait to see it turn some sod . Enjoyable video Dan. Thanks
I have that exact same plow, only 3 - 14 and clutch lift. It hasn't been used since 73 when we got a larger tractor and 5 bottom. I have an extra set of shares remaned by the last old fashioned blacksmith in the area for it also. It does a very nice job of plowing and pulls easily. A WD45 has no problem pulling it. When yours gets scoured up, it will be a nice plow!
Actually, the tail wheel takes a special tire. 400x12 and called tail wheel tire. It has a angled tread. I just use a camper tire. It wears funny, but works.
Use 4in hand grinder with the sand paper looking disk it will clean rust off and not grind down moulboards when done with plow paint bottoms. Paint will stay on till you plow again and will come right off when you plow with it next. I have them set for years and this system works great
I do not remember my friendsplough at the time in the 5os but I do not think it was that model but MM had the best plough in that time period I could plough all day and be happy

On multi furrow ploughs over here 🏴 usually only the last furrow that has the extended landside just to stabilise the plough 👍
