Fill That Freezer Up Jen Congratulations On Your Buck Hopefully Y'all Get The Manure Pump Unclogged Before Real Winter Gets Here Blessings To Y'all And Please Be Safe ✌️
TD, Nice to have a Tommy give you a hand on the pump. Great to see you family is doing well on the deer hunt. Good meat for the freezer. Congrats Jen. Thank you for sharing. Boe
Here in Western Pennsylvania on our farm we pull a John Deere 16 a flail chopper with the cover over the cross auger open and we pull the international 464 we're on 36 in rows we catch three at a time
Congratulations Jen should be good eating for you, I suspect it ate well on your crops. There's been a couple of times we chopped cornstalks in the spring and baled them when we were running short of bedding. Then plowed it under usually planted oats there then. That was kind of interesting what happened with the chopper.... when that happens makes a guy scratch his head for a second.
Chopping stalks.... Dad had a Sunmaster chopper. Likely same width as your IH as it was for 4 row wide. It was prone to get grass and weeds wrapped up around the ends of the drums inside. It went through bearings seemingly every other year despite frequent checks to cut the grass off the shaft. Ugh.
Have you thought about putting some old wood snow fence up in a circle to use for a crib and picking the rest of your corn ? And just feed that corn first
Back when that it what my Dad would do. They would have a 2 course (2 levels of "ricking") "crib" of ear corn (or 2 of them) in the yard for the overflow and those got ground for feed over the winter before the other cribs got opened.
Nice buck, Jessica! And you really know who your friends are, Allen, when they show up when you need help with a 💩 pump! Just curious, would running the shredder at a bias to the rows maybe be better? Looked like a few short stalks escaped. It's your place, not mine, but I was curious. I only try 5 rows with a 15' bush hog because that 6th row doesn't always get cut... Great video!👍👍
I thought about trying that, but figured it would be to rough. It does the best if I go against the way it was harvested, but sometimes I end up going with the rows, and I think that's why it leaves some standing.
I would be willing to bet that your plug is at the end of your pipe. There was a guy in isanti that would come out with a high pressure hose and a spray nozzle that would clean the pipe out. That is so frustrating though
I sure think I would figure out another system to put down in there to many problems with that set up. I know you are a small farm but you need to start upgrading the farm or do something I know we all had to pay the price but ur equipment is whole out. Or stop farm I know it's in our blood lol. Tractors are old equipment is old you work twice as hard as most farmers
I didn't upgrade that pump when I started milking, it's just a poor design, but that's how it goes. The dairy industry in this area could be done in the blink of an eye, so big upgrades and big debt for dairy, doesn't make sense.
That manure pump looks like a project great video

Lot of people don't like a 3588 but I spent many hours in one wish you had one so I could watch the old girl snort 👍🇺🇸
Great video, good luck hunting.
Hi Alan yeah it'll be interesting to see what's all wrong with the manure pit.
Great video as always TD , Regards from Ohio !
That's my job during harvest . Your doing my job . Lol IH 1066 & a # 50 IH stalk chopper . Had to say that .
Another good video GOD BLESS Y'all
You could wait to chop and bale the stalks in the spring. That worked well for me.
good going jen looks like you guy will be eating venison for a while!!!

Wtg! Jen I hope Jessica gets one too.
Is Jen a better hunter than Alan? Lol
Yep
Hi trinity dairy from Indiana
Have you thought about putting some old wood snow fence up in a circle to use for a crib and picking the rest of your corn ? And just feed that corn first
I haven't really thought about that.

When welding the bigger the glob the better the job!😅
Could you run a pressure washer hose with a sewer cleaner nozzle through the pipe to unclog it?
I think it's packed to tight for that.

@trinitydairy I gotcha. 👍👍
Awesome video why do u mow the corn 🌽 stocks for ?? Thanks for sharing
It helps them break down better, and they till into the soil easier.
Is it one buck per person in Minnesota? Two in Michigan I got two yesterday evening a spike and and a 7 point. Congrats on the buck take a few more.
Yes, one per person in our area, in not sure about other areas of the state.
Thanks for clearing that nostril off camera! Hahahahahaha!
Alan, is the cob corn only for the milking herd?
No, it will be used for heifer feed too.
Is there a difference between a flail mower and a stalk chopper?
I'm not really sure.
What was it that caused the last (2 years ago ?) barn cleaner plug up?
Using sawdust for bedding.
How is the new tractor doing with the fuel additive in it? I swear by that stuff!
It seems to be doing pretty good, i haven't worked it much though, it's in the shop right now, getting some oil leaks fixed.
@ ok I think it will work well for you

Call fluegges or Martins they should know of someone to help you out.
It's not at the end, we tried high pressure jetting, and got all the way to the barn, but that's when it stopped.
👍👌❤️🇨🇦
