Happy 56th Girl!!! I'm right behind you......and I've never felt better! Been following you since the beginning and have reaped the benefits of all of your hard work. It's been a truly AMAZING journey! Because of you I can smile when I look in the mirror.....knowing how I felt about aging just a few short years ago has completely changed. No one believes this mother of 9 is 55 not 36!!! I love that after all these years of taking care of my precious babies, I'm now taking care of myself. I used this foundation when it was sent to me as a sample from Sephora. With the samples was a also a sample of the primer. I used the primer and was amazed at it's capabilities to fill in pores and my texture. I normally use either Tatcha, Catrice, or Elf primers to pat on my pores, but I did not have to with this primer. I am older than you and have similar coloring and complexion type, although I do not have a real oily T-zone, but definitely some oil. After using the foundation over this primer, I was pretty amazed at the finished product. Normally I like a satin or radiant foundation, but for some reason (even though more matte), I loved it, even on one try. I checked thought the day, and it really didn't move on me until I removed it at 10:30 pm that night. I did have a slight oil break though, but not bad. I'd like you to try with foundation again with their primer. Best to get a sample at Sephora first, of course. I would be interested in hearing what the outcome was.

Despite the alcohol I am liking this foundation. I use the Australian Gold sunscreen with it. I have used both the Erborian matte primer and the new Bobbi Brown primer and it looks good. I think the Smashbox primer doesn’t mesh well with it. I have set it with 2 different Too Faced powders and Huda Beauty powder and it all worked. Happy Birthday!!!

I appreciate your honesty about the products you try. Scented products are such a "no,no" for me due to migraines. I wish companies would be more aware of the scents they use and make their foundations more versatile for everyone. Thanks
I have been using this foundation for a month now and so far it is my favorite. I do not have oily skin at all and actually struggle with some pretty severe dry patches during Wisconsin winters. I was surprised to hear about the alcohol- I don't have a problem with this drying my skin at all! My favorite primer with it is Ulta's Poreless Primer and the combo works great on my skin. I have tried your fav Chanel foundation but it is drying for me so had to give to my daughter, who loves it. I did love the Chanel because it did blur my wrinkles but was drying for me. Go figure!
I don’t understand how they dare to claim is for sensitive skin, with that amount las alcohol. At the beginning I thought I may be able to buy this foundation, Dior just don’t get we don’t want to put alcohol in our skin.
Hi Angie, I just wanted to share for those with dry skin that this really works well for me and lasts all day and looks flawless. It looks almost the same at the end of the day as it does at the start. It doesn’t settle into any lines or flake. It’s still worth trying for those with dry skin. It’s my new favorite.

Diva Discount I was interested in this but like any new thing that suddenly becomes popular I wanted to see if people were still using and getting good results later on. I’m going to revisit this. I’m starting to run out of my skincare. I can’t afford the medical grade like TNS Skinceuticals to get results and the cheaper Ordinary is meh.

Love the Dior on you...call me crazy but, I actually like the more sheer application even though it doesn't give full coverage....your skin is so beautiful...no need to cover up all your hard work lol...it doesn't have that maniquin look. Very pretty first application.

Darn alcohol! This foundation looked so pretty on you but as much as it looks great on you, with alcohol being that high on the ingredients list, I won't buy it. I don't have dry skin. I have mature, oily, acne prone skin so I bet I would love how it looks but overtime products with that much alcohol will eventually do more bad for my skin, than good. But I still watched the whole video because I just love watching your channel. Happy Birthday!

Graceful Beauty Yeah, alcohol is a no go for me too. I never had acne, but got cystic breakouts from Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua because SD alcohol.
PistolStar oh my, that's awful. i hope it cleared up fast after you stopped using it.
Not all alcohols are equal or damaging. Avoid the denatured alcohols such as SD alcohol as it it corrosive to the skin. Don't be alarmed by cetyl , stearyl or cetearyl alcohols. I mean do what you want,...just know they're not all bad.

I have dry skin and I have multiple hot flashes daily. This looks great on me for many hours and even survives my sweaty musical performances (rock makes one perspire profusely!). I use it with the Hourglass mineral primer with great results. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGIE...YOU ARE GORGEOUS!

Great review. I am trying it now myself and find it to look cakey if you go even a slight bit light. It looks best if you go warmer. I think your comment on it not playing well with others is also accurate. It does best without anything under it but a moisturizer.

Hi Angie I love you, but Dior Matte Forever was soooo heavily florally scented I had to send it back. Had a headache 5 mins after applying, plus it felt very sticky on, not sheer at all. Way too heavy for me. Happy it's working for you and you found your holy grail.

Do you like wearing primers?? I am in my mid 30s, and I feel primers don’t work that well for me anymore.. and yes, I did try many different kinds...I find primers keep moving my foundation around and make me look more cake-y.
Primers are really hit & miss for me. The silicone ones that are supposed to blur my pores make my makeup slide around later in the day and the matte ones make my skin too dry or make makeup look cakey. I have the same problems as you... One I like is Too Faced Hangover RX setting spray used as primer. It works with some foundations but not others.
Oh good! It’s not just me! Haha I see everyone using and loving primers, and it just does not work for me at all. I have been using facial oils or moisturizers instead. But I will also try your tip too! Thank you! Xo

I've tried SO MANY primers and have never found one that actually made a difference. My mineral sunscreen makes a nice "primer," so I don't feel like I really need a separate primer on top of that. It's just too many layers!
Me too- I just turned 50, and have tried every primer under the sun for the past 5 years, and I do much better with a light moisturizing sunscreen and foundation...

I got the IT matte cc cream and I am LOVING it! I used it over La Roche Posay 50 tinted mineral sunscreen and it was pretty dewy but it looked gorgeous and satin matte over the Elta MD physical 41 tinted spf and lasted well over 8 hours with almost no fading! Hi Angie. I was wondering if you have ever tried Chantecaille future skin foundation ? I am 63 and it's the only foundation I have tried that has good coverage, looks very natural and doesn't settle into my lines and wrinkles and stays looking good on my skin all day. It is an oil free gel foundation and feels very comfortable on my skin. I would be very interested in your opinion and would absolutely love to see a foundation Friday on this. 😍 Lyn

Happy birthday Angie! I had a bad reaction to this foundation, skin started to feel like it was burning after about 30 mins! I've used other Dior foundations without problems. The colour was a bit strange too. I am pale but not super pale (MAC 20ish). With such a large range I picked the second lightest neutral colour and it was too dark.
I can’t wait to try it. Thanks for the review. I definitely need a waterproof foundation because I sweat so much now in summer.

I was going to try this and think it looked good on you. However, I think it is time for me to bite the bullet and go for your Chanel #1 foundation. I always love a mineral powder foundation especially during the summers south heat and humidity and added bonus for me is the super fast application and great light to medium coverage.
