The irony of hearing children oblivious to the unknown world ahead laughing and carrying on and a man seeing his future change in a way he never would have imagined at their age. So true, I have felt that way twice. First when my aunt died since she was so close to me and I couldn’t understand why everyone continued to exist, which didn’t make sense because I have a son which is the reason for my existence. The second time was when my then 10 yr old son now 11 was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. It was a whole different world inside that hospital and when I walked outside for whatever reason it was beyond me why life remained the same for everyone else while my world was crumbling around me and on top of me.
+Cancer warrior its eerie, almost ominous. You think, "my world has been fractured yet time keeps passing" I havent experienced anything on the same dimension as your predicament with your son but I can loosely empathize and wish you nothing but positivity.
Thank you, it really is one of those moments “this can’t be happening to me” type. But I don’t think about it that way too much anymore because really who deserves that? Only child murderers and rapists! Still though it’s a horrible experience. Thank you for your well wishes.

I quit 1/1/16 after pack a day for over 15 years . Cold turkey . Best thing ive ever done . Convinced the wife to do the same here recently ..... You can do it !! And food tastes so much better after a few months ...

No, I meant that literally. I used a camera to take photos of the caregivers taking care of me when I was having very painful procedures done after a car accident. Focusing on what I could see through the camera distracted me from everything else going on,..the pain, discomfort, worry. It was helpful.

I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through, Dan, and I doubt there's anything I can say to make you feel better but I think it's important for you to know that you and Emily have affected my outlook on life so profoundly with your openess, bravery, positivity and humour in the face of the cruelest and most unjust blow to your lives. I hope you realise that by sharing your journey with people, you've not only raised awareness of this insidious disease but your sheer guts and drive have jolted people into putting the adversity in their own lives into perspective. I read a quote by a cancer sufferer and it couldn't apply more to you and Emily. I'm paraphrasing but she said: "People refer to cancer as a battle but it's not, it's simply biological. If it was a battle, I would have won", and I have no doubt at all that If it was a fair playing field, if you'd had any control, you and Emily would've kicked cancer's ass into touch. My trials are much less severe way than what you faced and your strength astounds me even more now that I'm a full blown cancer patient myself. There is simply no way I could even imagine to pick up a recorder and document my trials. Many days it's hard even to smile. Yet, I see your image, all these years later, smiling after surgery. Speaking words of encouragement to yourself and those around despite the pain. How did you do it, young man? How can I follow your example? How can I not descend into despair and self pity? Emily's death hit me hard, too. She was 24 and just recently married! You'd have to be a robot not to feel awful about her. And the most extraordinary thing about her was that she never gave up. Yeah and you wanna know why doctors don't recommend it? Because they (the government) don't make a dime from it. If it became mainstream that waterfasting could cure so much then there wouldn't be a need for all the cancer fundraising which is a billion dollar industry at least? Just do some research on it. Doctor "Jason Fung" Got loads of youtube videos up about it. It can cure everything from various cancers to diabetes to fucking Alzheimers. Honestly I'm not here to argue, my point is that his treatment has stopped and he's currently waiting for the inevitable. I just want him to please research it a bit and at least consider it. It could save his life and that's the point of me even trying to explain any of this. That is all.
I think it upsets him when people give him advice on what to try. From what he has said, he has tried everything he could, even things that are illegal. He knows more about his condition than anyone could imagine.

If only looks could be an accurate indicator of health. Also, looks need to be evaluated based on how he looked 4, 8, 12, 16 weeks before today. He was a lot bigger and probably even heavier 8 weeks before he made this video. Basically, a lot of heavy dudes look normal when they shed two dozen pounds but the very fact that they shed so much without much physical exercise is an indicator of decline.
It's a weird relationship people have with the people they watch on RUclips. Sometimes I have to realize that I don't know people I watch, even though I feel as if I do and they're my friend somehow because they share so much of themselves. Dan, thank you so much for putting up this video. Emily is very very missed and her passing although, expected has a lot of people hurting right now. Not just those she knew physically but also those who got to know her from her videos. She touched many of us and we miss her. It's amazing how one can come to care for another that they've never physically met but only through some kind of social media and videos being the most personal. It's the same with you. You have many people in your physical life who love and care for you but you also have many of us in your social media life who also love and care for you. I'm so glad you're living every moment to the fullest. It's something sadly, those of us who don't know they are terminally ill (we all are , the only difference is most of us don't know the time or the how we will be leaving this life yet) we take it for granted because by human nature we all.believe there will always be tomorrow. I watch your vids I am suffering with advanced prostate cancer myself I am due for another Scan this Thursday,I only hope that I can be as strong as you are being at this time in your life. DAN please read this please. my name is cindy I do not know how to make you tube videos at all.. I have terminal cancer as well. I am scared out of my mind. I am scared about the physical parts of the dying process, like what will I feel will it hurt will I feel agitated whats going to happen to me? I'm just a very scared 36 yr old terminal cancer patient. I have been terminal since March 2 2018 and that is the day I started my hospice care. Its been nice just lately they been slacking off on my care so me and mom are gonna sit and talk to my hospice nurse. Oh yea here is another name I have given to the hospice team that you could say to them that just may make them smile a little bit cause there job has to be tough I call them the hospitality team. lol makes my team laugh when I call them that. I have a nice nurse who brought me a nice cold drink that was my first nurse she retired a week after I was admitted into the hospice team. so it was sad she was such a sweetie. that's the thing you get used to some of the nurses then they retire or switch around.. its all good though. but Tom I want to chat with you we could really help each other out. I have face book under Cindy Shaw my profile pic is me with oxygen on and a NG feeding tube so 2 hoses in one nose and one in the other. and I have the border just stand up to cancer. easy to find me that way, and I'm from New Mexico USA. it would be great to chat. like I keep saying I'm scared over this entire thing. Cancer needs to be brought back to the fore front and it needs a cure this just cant keep happening to people. it is not fair. did you hear what happened to our dear Sophia Gaill she passed away June 1 I was so upset and devasted over her. she was just way to young and she had such a positive way about her that it just rubbed off on to me and I would walk away from her videos at times feeling like I will be ok everything is ok. Some people say actually living life and going threw the ups and downs of life is the hardest parts of life. but after doing both I would have to say this dying thing is by far scary because we just don't know what it feels like physically. that is what scares me the most. I think if I knew for sure that death didn't hurt and death was nothing more then an end to the pain and the begaining of something greater. which I know there is. My heart is utterly broken! You have been such an inspiration to me over the past few months while I've waited for a Liver and Kidney Transplant. Today, however... I was told that I have been taken off the Transplant List as I was diagnosed with cancer in my Liver, Pancreas and both kidneys. So... I write this with tears streaming and in a state of numbness and confusion. I will pray for you daily and only wish that you were closer so we could have met. I'm dealing health issues as well and doctors are trying to figure it out. I have to get biopsy and other tests... I'm feeling physical sensations that scare me but I am pressing into the lord as we are his children and he loves us. It’s really hard , I can understand what you’re feeling and going through , I’ve been in the hospital for the last 6 months waiting on a double lung transplant , I’ve undergone chemo , and other treatments to try and help my antibodies go down so I will get a organ (feels like it’s making me sicker and weaker ) . I have Lupus also . Along with that a rare blood type . They will not accept any organs for me because of my antibodies at the moment , and only less than 10 percent of the world have my blood type 😫 it’s been crazy . I’m on another treatment plan now in hopes that it will help with the antibodies . I would like to say at least you are free and not stuck on the hospital . I haven’t been allowed to leave I’m on too much oxygen . One of my subscribers now she’s my wonderful friend told me about you . I’m sending warm hugs all the way from Houston Tx ❤️

So true, I have felt that way twice. First when my aunt died since she was so close to me and I couldn’t understand why everyone continued to exist, which didn’t make sense because I have a son which is the reason for my existence. The second time was when my then 10 yr old son now 11 was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer. It was a whole different world inside that hospital and when I walked outside for whatever reason it was beyond me why life remained the same for everyone else while my world was crumbling around me and on top of me.

I havent experienced anything on the same dimension as your predicament with your son but I can loosely empathize and wish you nothing but positivity.

I quit 1/1/16 after pack a day for over 15 years . Cold turkey . Best thing ive ever done . Convinced the wife to do the same here recently ..... You can do it !! And food tastes so much better after a few months ...

No, I meant that literally. I used a camera to take photos of the caregivers taking care of me when I was having very painful procedures done after a car accident. Focusing on what I could see through the camera distracted me from everything else going on,..the pain, discomfort, worry. It was helpful.

I can't even begin to imagine what you're going through, Dan, and I doubt there's anything I can say to make you feel better but I think it's important for you to know that you and Emily have affected my outlook on life so profoundly with your openess, bravery, positivity and humour in the face of the cruelest and most unjust blow to your lives. I hope you realise that by sharing your journey with people, you've not only raised awareness of this insidious disease but your sheer guts and drive have jolted people into putting the adversity in their own lives into perspective. I read a quote by a cancer sufferer and it couldn't apply more to you and Emily. I'm paraphrasing but she said: "People refer to cancer as a battle but it's not, it's simply biological. If it was a battle, I would have won", and I have no doubt at all that If it was a fair playing field, if you'd had any control, you and Emily would've kicked cancer's ass into touch.

Water fasting has been confirmed to wipe out many different cancers in the body. It can even cure Alzheimers. I hope he reads this and gives it a try.
Yeah and you wanna know why doctors don't recommend it? Because they (the government) don't make a dime from it. If it became mainstream that waterfasting could cure so much then there wouldn't be a need for all the cancer fundraising which is a billion dollar industry at least?
Just do some research on it. Doctor "Jason Fung" Got loads of youtube videos up about it. It can cure everything from various cancers to diabetes to fucking Alzheimers.
Honestly I'm not here to argue, my point is that his treatment has stopped and he's currently waiting for the inevitable. I just want him to please research it a bit and at least consider it. It could save his life and that's the point of me even trying to explain any of this. That is all.
I think it upsets him when people give him advice on what to try. From what he has said, he has tried everything he could, even things that are illegal. He knows more about his condition than anyone could imagine.

If only looks could be an accurate indicator of health. Also, looks need to be evaluated based on how he looked 4, 8, 12, 16 weeks before today. He was a lot bigger and probably even heavier 8 weeks before he made this video. Basically, a lot of heavy dudes look normal when they shed two dozen pounds but the very fact that they shed so much without much physical exercise is an indicator of decline.

You have many people in your physical life who love and care for you but you also have many of us in your social media life who also love and care for you. DAN please read this please. my name is cindy I do not know how to make you tube videos at all.. I have terminal cancer as well. I am scared out of my mind. I am scared about the physical parts of the dying process, like what will I feel will it hurt will I feel agitated whats going to happen to me? I'm just a very scared 36 yr old terminal cancer patient. I have been terminal since March 2 2018 and that is the day I started my hospice care. Its been nice just lately they been slacking off on my care so me and mom are gonna sit and talk to my hospice nurse. Oh yea here is another name I have given to the hospice team that you could say to them that just may make them smile a little bit cause there job has to be tough I call them the hospitality team. lol makes my team laugh when I call them that. I have a nice nurse who brought me a nice cold drink that was my first nurse she retired a week after I was admitted into the hospice team. so it was sad she was such a sweetie. that's the thing you get used to some of the nurses then they retire or switch around.. its all good though. but Tom I want to chat with you we could really help each other out. I have face book under Cindy Shaw my profile pic is me with oxygen on and a NG feeding tube so 2 hoses in one nose and one in the other. and I have the border just stand up to cancer. easy to find me that way, and I'm from New Mexico USA. it would be great to chat. like I keep saying I'm scared over this entire thing. Cancer needs to be brought back to the fore front and it needs a cure this just cant keep happening to people. it is not fair. did you hear what happened to our dear Sophia Gaill she passed away June 1 I was so upset and devasted over her. she was just way to young and she had such a positive way about her that it just rubbed off on to me and I would walk away from her videos at times feeling like I will be ok everything is ok. And it takes a special person to be able to have such an impact on your life like that. RIP Sophia. Tom please get in touch with me asap. this is not a joke or some kind os fan stocking thing. I am a real terminal cancer patient that needs a friend like you who understands cause you to are going threw this to.

thank you guys so much. this is the hardest part of life I believe. Some people say actually living life and going threw the ups and downs of life is the hardest parts of life. but after doing both I would have to say this dying thing is by far scary because we just don't know what it feels like physically. that is what scares me the most. I think if I knew for sure that death didn't hurt and death was nothing more then an end to the pain and the begaining of something greater. which I know there is. God has plans for me and he knows right where I am going and he is prepared to send me to my final destantion. heaven bound I am. thank you for your kind words. I pray Dan sees my message and messages me back and maybe we can mail letters out to each other or something.

My heart is utterly broken! You have been such an inspiration to me over the past few months while I've waited for a Liver and Kidney Transplant. Today, however... I was told that I have been taken off the Transplant List as I was diagnosed with cancer in my Liver, Pancreas and both kidneys. So... I write this with tears streaming and in a state of numbness and confusion. I will pray for you daily and only wish that you were closer so we could have met. Hi Brian.....I'm so sorry to hear about being taken off the transplant list. When I read your comment I really felt your pain . I will pray for you. I'm dealing health issues as well and doctors are trying to figure it out. I have to get biopsy and other tests... I'm feeling physical sensations that scare me but I am pressing into the lord as we are his children and he loves us. Do you have a good support of friends and family you can talk to about all of this?

My Uncle read this at my beautiful mother's funeral 8 weeks ago, we lost her to bowel cancer. Very appropriate since she gave everything she had to this cruel disease.

It’s really hard , I can understand what you’re feeling and going through , I’ve been in the hospital for the last 6 months waiting on a double lung transplant , I’ve undergone chemo , and other treatments to try and help my antibodies go down so I will get a organ (feels like it’s making me sicker and weaker ) . I have Lupus also . Along with that a rare blood type . They will not accept any organs for me because of my antibodies at the moment , and only less than 10 percent of the world have my blood type 😫 it’s been crazy . I’m on another treatment plan now in hopes that it will help with the antibodies . I would like to say at least you are free and not stuck on the hospital . I haven’t been allowed to leave I’m on too much oxygen . One of my subscribers now she’s my wonderful friend told me about you . I’m sending warm hugs all the way from Houston Tx ❤️
