    Great video. I just ported my first cylinder. I am going to follow your advise using the solder method to check the upward and horizontal angles of the main and auxiliary transfers.

    You are awesome. I enjoy all your videos, especially the one where you melted the plug running on nitro. The way you thought about drilling out the pilot jet risking ruining the carb. I was like my kind of guy.

    I have bought 1990 Kawasaki 650sx standup jetski just a be week before new year, and caught covid just after the first day of water tests:) so all my previous 2 weeks Iv spend watching your videos and sometimes one video for 2-3 times:)) great thanks for your work! Originally I’m from Moscow Russia and before Iv started living in Barcelona Iv had 4 (from my age of 21 till 27) of the Subaru legacy’s RS first generation and all my life was in garage with turbo opposite engines:) Iv never had a clue about 2t and now I’m exploring this wonderful new world for me:)
    I think very soon I’ll make some videos based on your knowledge base😎
    Cheers!

    Awesome and informative videos! I went tuning my stock am6 50cc cylinder but went a bit overboard with the exhaust duration... its 197,5 degrees now.. transfers are 132. would that still be good for a tuned streetbike given it has a good exhaust pipe you think? Keep the great videos coming!

    How much tranfer duration you have?
    and abou the last dyno curve top peak power is about how much rpm.

    At times it was difficult to see what you were drawing on the paper. I suggest using a 3D CAD program (say, SketchUp. It is free and easy to use) to illustrate the key angles of the ports. It is very easy to move around in the CAD model of a SketchUp drawing. These views could be overlaid onto the video on one side to make it clearer to the viewer what you are talking about. After watch this video, it got me thinking of building a 3D coordinate measuring machine from a #D printer. The machine could use a bent wire as the pointer and an electrical circuit could be used to detect when the pointer makes contact with the metal cylinder. Programs could be written to move the pointer along various paths with it touching the wall and recording the coordinates.

    Hei, very interesting - i like your approach to 2 stroke tuning - its not rocket sience :-)
    Q: Does the Engmod2t have variables with regard to ignition timing - or is it purely flow / gas view ?. Tks

    • @2STROKESTUFFING
      @2STROKESTUFFING  7 лет назад

      Niels Vangsøe-Andersen Thanks! There's 3 combustion models to choose from in engmod, Burnrate Prescribed, Adjusted Wiebe, and Turbulent. All of them need RPM, Timing, and AFR input. Prescribed and Weibe also need Delay, Duration, VibeA, and VibeM.
      Turbulent is slooow, Prescribed is fast. The trick is to run the Turbulent Model(calculates Delay, Duration etc. for you), create a combustion file from that run, import the file, and run in Precribed mode from there on. If you alter the shape of the combustion chamber, squish, exhaust timing etc. You will have to run Turbulent again.

    I need a help for my 132 cc Yamaha RX cylinder.
    Can using a STD sile sleeve on a cylinder work same as it came from the company.
    Will it be successful and give same compression as an original cylinder

    • @2STROKESTUFFING
      @2STROKESTUFFING  3 года назад

      Thanks!
      I'm not sure what you mean by "STD sile sleeve"?

    • @sishir3211
      @sishir3211 3 года назад

      @@2STROKESTUFFING oops sorry I had mis spelled it.. it was STD size sleeve
      STD - standard (stock)
      Sleeve - is an aftermarket inline wall of the cylinder with matching ports

    • @ajaygawand8877
      @ajaygawand8877 3 года назад

      Hi Sishir,It is very difficult to get the same performance from a sleeved cylinder as the original cylinder, because to match the ports as good as the original cylinder ports is extremely difficult.There is always a loss in performance due to mismatch.Regarding compression,u can check with a compression gauge,and shave/machine the top of cylinder if it is showing less compression than required to get the proper compression. Proper compression is very essential to get top performance.Also compression depends on piston to cylinder clearance and ring end gap.

    I have watched all of your porting videos multiple times over the years. I don’t know what changed but it all just clicked. Everything made sense as you explained it, but for some reason I have had a mental block and everything in a whole just didn’t come naturally to me. Previously I could have probably explained most of it one stage at a time picturing it and thinking.
    Now I feel I’m ready for more then just experimentation and start my 32cc nitro meth.
    Thanks dude. You rock!
    Next time you come to the salt flats I will be there. I know you already have the hook up for tools and a crew, but if you want anything else a local person can do please reach out. Truck, trailer, tools, another set of hands to sweep up the salty work area....
    I was ready to go in 2018 but I had a very unfortunate thing pop up three weeks prior.
    Peace out Girl Scout
