I’m a little bit of a snob and always take the unique ones over anything red and “basic” but I mean,..the big one just looks perfect! I’m right there with ya! So torn!
Agate Dad I stated watching your videos last year and you have put a passion in me to come up to the North Shore to find an agate. Just to let you know that I am 74 years young and this is a bucket list trip for me. We have already rented our cabin outside of Duluth. So it will be a pretty far trip from Southern Alabama’s coastal area. Hope to see you out looking for Agates somewhere. Keep up the videos, learning a lot from them.
They are all beautiful but I have to say, #2 was amazing. I was first introduced to the world of crystals rocks and minerals when I was young when I met a geologist named John Patnoid ( not sure if spelling) . He gave me a box of different finds and I was hooked. When he was in country, his home base was next door to my dad's work. I became a pesky visitor and he became a very patient teacher. Very fond memories and a lifelong love of all things crystal, agate, geode you name it. TY Mr. Patnode
By the way, I love stones too, a bit different, I became an archeologist ! Now retired and already for a few years I make jewelry with agate. Such beautiful stones!
All of these are beautiful in their own right. Asking which we like the best is like asking which of our children is our favorite! All of them because they each bring their own kind of beauty and personality into this world. Thanks for sharing this cut video!
This is the third time I have watched this video. Every time someone has been over I have to have them watch it. Love watching their reactions. Thanks for sharing. Peace be with you and be safe.
Number 2 was my favorite! They really were all beautiful! I think these cutting videos are my favorite out of all videos because I love seeing the inside beauty!
Hi, I agree with you on their ranking!!! The third beauty you showed us makes me think of "lacy" goodness!!! It's so unique!!! So happy you share your surprises with all of us!!! Take care. 😊
OMG the white one is AmaZING?! Why? It has bands! and it's kind of rare to find white with bands because it's quartz!!! Yes ALL are truly beautiful but I'm sticking with the white bands! Go for the underdog!😁
goodbye. that was another great video. thank you. I think the blue stone with white agate bands is the most beautiful. but they are all beautiful. i like agate. Greetings Erik from Belgium.
Just noted when I saw the stones in the water at the end of the video that the black and the white one are a wonderful pair placed next to each other, like they complement each other. And I really could not say who is my favorite. They are all great in their own way. The white one makes me feel like it clears my mind with its milky depths. It`s kind of relaxing not being able to focus on anything in particular. The black one is powerful of course, also very structured. Helps to focus and center. The big guy appears to have a whole story going on in it, would place it on my desk and see if in time from the corner of my eyes I could see some beings taking on form in there. Good for meditation. The last one, that reminds a little bit of a drop, could support anything that has to do with flow. Like a piece of music. I would want it around in a music room or any room used for creative work. Thank you for your video, I have found it very inspiring 🌸
Oh my Lanta! I’m fairly new at this hobby, but wow. I have such an appreciation for it. I live in Nova Scotia, got turned onto this because of the Rockhounding Life boys. Love seeing rocks from all over the world and how each region has it’s own signature beauty! Those agates are really beautiful.
Regarding the limonite stained agate (#3)... What really blew me away were the individual (and completely separated) quartz clusters between each of the fortification bands! That is a very unique feature, which I have never seen before! Just imagine the geological conditions that had to exist in order for that to occur. Mind-blowing! That's one heck of a find, and some pretty good cuttin' skillz! 😉 Many thanks to Daniel for sharing them with you ... and many thanks to you for sharing them with us!
I actually really liked the 1st & 3rd. I like those clear whitish ones with the pretty spotted husks. I just have to say, yeah LSAs are pretty but I am so grateful you are a worldly agate lover. The world is filled with amazing agates and thanks for sharing those experiences
Thanks for telling us how long they took to cut. I got my 10" saw last month and I thought I was doing something wrong because the agates took FOREVER to cut....nope it's just the nature of the beast! #2 was glorious!
@@AgateDad I go mining here in the white mtns of NH all the time, the Moat mtns, Deer hill... But I said in another video 🤣🥶❄️ ITS -15 HERE....MINING CAN WAIT🤣 I am 53, disabled....but I still get out around here....the great lakes are only a stones throw so maybe this summer I will DO IT✌️✌️
The problem with lake Superior agates is as the tumpled in a couble iceages most are cracked ..still very beautiful..can not wait to cut open mine as a pensior it is time to do so.
I never tire of watching you cut agates open and hearing your reaction. #2 was my favorite.
I’m glad! It’s so fun!
It looks insane, like a picture of a vulcano, stunning.

Nice story, I love when people tell their personal stories, always amazing. One little event can change your whole life. You were lucky
By the way, I love stones too, a bit different, I became an archeologist ! Now retired and already for a few years I make jewelry with agate. Such beautiful stones!
6:59 the one on the left almost looks like an agate rendition of the state of MN 😊
All of these are beautiful in their own right. Asking which we like the best is like asking which of our children is our favorite! All of them because they each bring their own kind of beauty and personality into this world. Thanks for sharing this cut video!
Oh my gosh!!! That second one is super crazy. Looks like a Buddha inside! They are all very cool.
The second & third one you cut are my favorite. All are pretty in their own way.
That 3rd one with the jagged lines is my favorite. Wonderful video !!!! Thanks !!!!!
You said UFF DA and it made my day.
I’m glad 🙌
NORWEGIAN
My father-in-law use to say that all the time.
Thank you for sharing . I liked the one with the reddish orange the best ! ❤
I think it was #2. To me looked like fire and ice on the inside. Fabulous cuts! Thank you
These will be so beautiful polished! It’s so interesting to see all the banding and details and they are each unique! Love these!
Hi, I agree with you on their ranking!!! The third beauty you showed us makes me think of "lacy" goodness!!! It's so unique!!! So happy you share your surprises with all of us!!! Take care. 😊
You never know what you are going to get untill you cut, cut, cut it open. I liked them all but the second one the best. Keep having fun🤗 😷⚒
OMG the white one is AmaZING?! Why? It has bands! and it's kind of rare to find white with bands because it's quartz!!! Yes ALL are truly beautiful but I'm sticking with the white bands! Go for the underdog!😁
That second one looks like it's glowing! Great video man.
It’s a beauty for sure!
They are all boulders to be sure. You cut that second one sooo good. Right on Taylor.😎
Feels good to get a good cut!
Beautifull. I liked the third one best. It has lovely colours & a stylish curve.
goodbye.
that was another great video. thank you. I think the blue stone with white agate bands is the most beautiful. but they are all beautiful. i like agate. Greetings Erik from Belgium.
You've gained a new fan! Just introduced my 5-year old grandniece to your channel. ❤
Those were definitely beautiful! And Wow! You called them all. The ones with more agate took a lot longer to cut. But so worth it! Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely, that’s probably why it took so long. The first one was so much quartz inside so it went quicker.
Awesome, another great video. Love all of them but three was my favorite!
So gorgeous all of them! My favorite was the first cut.
Just noted when I saw the stones in the water at the end of the video that the black and the white one are a wonderful pair placed next to each other, like they complement each other. I love the one you called magnificent at the end.

Am so excited!!!
You’re going to love them!

Right?! I loved this one for all those reasons too
Secon one is GORGEOUS!!!
I love the 2 that you liked best, but I think the white one was cool as well. Nice to see them all.
Number 3 was the best one for me , soo many colours
That last one was a beauty ❤
For some reason, watching this made my brain start singing "Feelin' Groovy"🌻🐝🎶
I love the depth of the first, bet it would look nice with a backlight
I bet that clear white one would look stunning under a microscope!
The 3rd cut with the limonite staining, soo cool.
Those are some big boys. 3 minutes not bad at all, 12 minutes oh the vibration 👀. Happy hounding!
😂 takes much patience
@@AgateDad I bet the thicker blade helps the saw to not work so hard. Cool stuff!
When u opened the 3rd agate & said wooohooo 😂 I love it
Such a good one!
Thanks for a fun cuttin' good time! #2 is our favorite, then #4.
Whoa!!!! Love that saw blade. 10 thick...
I love the first one you cut! 🥰😃
I’m glad you did!
Very nice! All individually unique, last one looked kind of like a thunder egg! 👍👏
They are beauties for sure!
So cool! It's a surprise inside every one!
Sure is!
The blue in 4 was awesome.
It really was
I think number 2 was my favourite. It would be cool to see a close up of what is going on in there.
All of them are really beautiful 👍🥰
#2 looks like Buddha in an agate... all so beautiful!
Wow!! Such amazing agates!
Very nice stones! The first one, if you cut it in slices, it can became a nice "glass" for a lamp
Hello Agate Dad. I'm a new subscriber. Thanks for all the information you put out there.
Thanks for joining!!
I actually really liked the 1st & 3rd. I like those clear whitish ones with the pretty spotted husks.
I just have to say, yeah LSAs are pretty but I am so grateful you are a worldly agate lover. The world is filled with amazing agates and thanks for sharing those experiences

It was insane!
Thanks man some great gems you got there
Such beauties!
@AgateDad I'm up here in the PNW and we got some great agates, jasper and more definitely some differences between the two regions
💖 wow .. just wow 😍
All so different yet very beautiful. I tend to agree with you on the two best. Would love to find any of those.
It would be a dream to find these
Hey bud. I’ve sent you a pm but it doesn’t show you’ve seen it.
Hey bud. I’ve sent you a pm but it doesn’t show you’ve seen it.
i like the last one and the limonite ones alot
the second one was my favorite
They look like all 4 seasons and the one that is 2 different colors in the middle takes #1 for Minnesota climate from 1 day to the next 😆
Had me hooked at "Uff DA" !
🤣🙌
so very interesting and amazing my favorite was 4
O my god its so beautiful agates
The 2nd one.....WOW
I was wondering how often you need to change the blade? This is so fun to watch
Depends on how often your cutting and what material you’re cutting
Just beautiful 👍🙂
I agree!
The problem with lake Superior agates is as the tumpled in a couble iceages most are cracked ..still very beautiful..can not wait to cut open mine as a pensior it is time to do so.
I’m glad you understand that, most people think the saws crack them.
I love this video
How do you decide which orientation to cut?
Based on exterior in hopes to cut a full pattern inside
At 334 that’s beautiful!
Very!
You find polish and then polish or just polish the cut area,
Agate Dad, be good to take a road trip, collecting all types of US and Mexican agates 🚍
A wonderful thing 💚😍
4:00 и каква е цената на такъв ахат?
При нас в България са много ефтини...
Beauties❤.number 3 i my fav
Hi from Finland👍
Uff Da!?
No way! a fellow Square head, huh?
Actually, I'm not surprised, that checks, in lots of ways.😄
Awesome though!
🤣🤣🤣
these are lovely
What blade would you recommend to make faster cuts? I need to cut 600 pounds of agates quickly.... they need not be clean cuts
Do you polish the cut area
Love your posts.
Glad you like them!
And you just got another follower💪✌️✌️✌️❤️
Oh thanks ❤️🙌
