They should've made this a GTA-type game. Free roam, go into Game Central Station any time you want to, different missions in every game you enter, free roam in every game you enter, mini games for every game like the arcade version of Fix It Felix Jr, etc. It would've been sooooo much better. Plus then they could've put it on Xbox, PlayStation, even the Switch!
What do you mean “they could have put it on the switch”? This was a Wii title from 2012… 5 years before the switch came out, the same year the Wii U came out
This is the best they could come up with for this awesome movie? The animation looks like it was made with a lump of modeling clay! ONE LUMP FOR EVERYTHING!!
You know, for a movie based off of video games, I would've expected it come with an amazing video game to boot. Sadly, given all the material they had to work with from the movie, they managed to create what seems like an uninspired piece of trash. I had high hopes when I saw the intro cutscene, I thought, "Surely, it can't be that bad, the intro cutscene looks amazing and the voice acting isn't that bad". After the intro cutscene, I got hit by jarringly terrible graphics, accompanied with a generic music loop and sound effects that just feel loud, and unclean. Not only that, but the fact that they gave Ralph and Felix just a handful of boring and uninspired quotes that quickly get annoying is just... I think I've rambled on enough. TL:DR - This game had potential, but it was instead put into the hands of developers who frankly didn't care about the game they were making.
You know they could have simply made the fictional arcade games be real and even add a twist. Like when you unlock Turbo's game, the three others somehow get glitchy and the Candy King is now in Sugar Rush... But nope, generic shovelware platformer.. Is Vanelloppe even playable?
The Wii is a great console. It has some very fun multiplayer games (Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart), some awesome single-player games (Metroid Prime, Super Mario Galaxy), some awesome third-party exclusives (The Conduit, Goldeneye), and some unfortunately underrated gems (Tatsunoku vs Capcom, Klonoa, Madworld, Lost in Shadow). I don't have an Xbox 360 or a PS3 and I'm still very happy with my Wii (and Wii U).
Wow. Apparently they weren't able to get Jack McBrayer to voice this low-budget game, so they got a guy who sounds like the Pete Puma cartoon character.
This has to be the most ironic thing I have ever seen. You have an extremely well written and designed movie about video games, and then you have a game based on that movie that is not only poorly written and designed, but fails to be a good video game. How on Earth did this fuck this up.
I haven't seen the movie, but it looks like Pixar got in with making the game cutscenes, or at least the opening one. Immediatly after that one, you get thrown into something completely different and horrible looking... Good start.
I will agree, though I think they should have had different levels reflect different gaming genres and eras. Have an 8-bit level, a 16-bit level, a CGI level, an RPG level, etc. It would have been like every gaming genre out there rolled into one! ...granted, they could leave out some game genres (incorporating dance games would feel a bit awkward, unless it's a minigame)
I'm considerably miffed that they only put the video game on Nintendo consoles, like the Speed Racer games. I'm like what do they have against Xbox, Playstation and PC? What's stopping it from being multiplatform which is pretty ironic considering this is a movie about video games overall rather than just one company's consoles. Ridiculous.
-Sees the negative comments- I'm sure this game is fine! It looks like it can be open world, and the cut-scenes are beautiful! Can't wait to- 2:00 /watch?v=zdh_ISiBC-I
Seems boring unless you are 8 years old. They could have made an awesome game considering how great the movie was but most wii games are child oriented and are terrible im my opinion
I might see how switching between Ralph and Felix can be interesting concept to solving puzzles. Although the game seems somewhat simplistic and the platform elements could use some improvement. I think this game could be good if they improved the music, the platforming, the difficulty, and perhaps the enemies themselves.
Who in their right mind would see the end product of this game, and say "Yeah, perfect! Now put it out for sale!"? This is just... I can't even finish this sentence.
Agreed. Perhaps I made it seem like I was too positive with the game, and I didn't want to. It does seem rather uninteresting, but I feel it had/has potential. If they took full advantage of it, they could really make the game good. Especially if they had Calhoun and Vanellope as playable characters.
Oh my god... I had this on when my computer randomly shut down... when I started it up, that noise scared the crap out of me. The static made me afraid to sit down. Then I heard Ralph and laughed... but not the funny laugh.
They should've made the game like Namco Museum with a compilation of games except with games in the movie like Fix it Felix Jr., Hero's Duty, Sugar Rush, and Tapper.
You mean the system so many gamers love? The one I overheard some friends saying was the "best gaming system ever"? The one that was the system of legendary games such as "Earthbound" and "Super Mario RPG"? I certainly hope you were not trying to insult this game.
I was hoping they would've done something with actual potential... but go figure, DS, 3DS, and Wii. A beat 'em up that's more expansive than Scott Pilgrim would've been nice. They even set themselves up for something like that with the movie's credits.
I can't help but feel like the developers used the fact that it's a video game based on a movie about video games as an excuse not use the best gameplay. Like the character models, which look unpolished, as if they were still in beta.
I agree with you. I mean I like it too but your version sounds really AWESOME!!!!!
What do you mean “they could have put it on the switch”? This was a Wii title from 2012… 5 years before the switch came out, the same year the Wii U came out
I didn't know they were still making games for the N64
+Joe Osoup true
+AT Productions that, or just rushed development and lazy design
+AT Productions Nahh probably just rushed
+pancake animator I didn't know trolls were that desperate for attention.
+Synthematix nah I'm not a troll I was just making a point about how bad the game looked
This game would work so much better if it was actually 8-bit or 16-bit.
no freaking kidding.
this... game... I expected you to be good. YOU VIDEOGAME OF A VIDEOGAME!!!!!!!!
It's crap
Disney game for wii: Epic Mickey with interesting gameplay and aesthetic
Also Disney game for wii:
the cutscenes are better than the game itself
Not the in-game ones since they are trash, but the beginning and ending ones are clearly the best ones
All the budget went to the cutscenes I'm pretty sure.
All of the budget was on the beginning cutscene
don't forget the ending cutscene too, that's mostly the best things in the game
This is the best they could come up with for this awesome movie? The animation looks like it was made with a lump of modeling clay! ONE LUMP FOR EVERYTHING!!
Me: Hey Activision what will you do with the Wreck-it Ralph game?
Activision: Im gonna wreck it
Lol
You know, for a movie based off of video games, I would've expected it come with an amazing video game to boot. I would have been just fine with the Arcade Version of Wreck-it Ralph vs this. Not sure what they were thinking but they missed the mark by a mile.
Superfastconman No it wasn't
They should burn this game and make Sugar Rush a real arcade game available in ALL countries and cities. Y'know, the racing game?
Dr. Alphys yeah
Dr. Alphys Good One. WE NEED SUGAR RUSH TO BE REAL
Dr. Alphys i
Dr. Alps
YES MAKE IT REAL
LOL HOW CREEPY IS RALPH AT 3:43? God damn they had probably 3 months to make this game.
Felix looking weird tho XD
2:23
Ralph:"If only i knew someone with a magic-"
Felix:HYES
A races game based on the world of Sugar Rush, with graphics similar to Mario Kart Wii, at least... would've been waaaay better.
There's the retro feel, then there's shamelessly making fugly graphics. C'mon, disney...
3:38 OH MY LAND
And here at 3:25, we can see discount Bob the Builder cosplaying as Fix-It Felix Jr.
Ok the movie is great, the game SUCKS as hell
Yeah Ikr look at the games 2d cutscenes
They had a phone game that was just fixit felix but they deleated it off the appstore
2:22
If only I knew someone with a magic-
Y E S
those 2D cutscenes doh
You know they could have simply made the fictional arcade games be real and even add a twist.

this game could be easily be ported on the DS, the graphics and gameplay are easily subpar for even ps1 child games
is was, and to the 3ds
Me: So Actvision, how are you going to convert this movie to a Wii game?
Activision: I'M GONNA WRECK IT!
This looks like they were trying to make a free web game but then changed their minds, port it to the wii and put a price tag on it
I can't believe they managed to fail to make a game about THIS movie.
Beautiful cutscenes
Wow. Apparently they weren't able to get Jack McBrayer to voice this low-budget game, so they got a guy who sounds like the Pete Puma cartoon character.

Not sure why the video has a lot of dislikes since it's a first impression video and not really promoting it.
.
Because we are not impressed.
Jokes on you! they removed the dislikes
*Looks at the opening*
THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME!
*Looks the the gameplay*
Wtf...
THIS is the WII VERSION!? It looks EXACTLY the same as the DS version WTF?!
LAZIEST DEVELOPERS EVER.
That's Activision folks
@@coltoon64 nop it was disney, activision just published it
I think I said that. I loved the LOTR games for PS2. I've still got them. Never play them but still have them.
I haven't seen the movie, but it looks like Pixar got in with making the game cutscenes, or at least the opening one. Immediatly after that one, you get thrown into something completely different and horrible looking... Good start.

a poor man's version of Mario and Donkey Kong I'll stick to sonic and Sega all stars racing transformed with wreck it Ralph as a guest character
dhhxhshdyx
They made the videogame old-school videogame style. Nice.
Why's everybody hating? It's a videogame reference in videogame form! Old videogames rock!
3:25 What da hell is that?
the stuff the Filix says is one of my favorite parts!
they gave up gameplay for graphics... This game would of been cool in an open world type gameplay not a side scrolling platform.
This is one of that games the intro cutscene it has better quality than the game itself
Ridiculous.
... I though the game would be good, but I love the intro (because it looks like the movie).
activision+ movie based video games...
-Sees the negative comments-
I'm sure this game is fine! It looks like it can be open world, and the cut-scenes are beautiful! Can't wait to-

/watch?v=zdh_ISiBC-I
Holy wasted potential batman!
So yeah...remember that huge plot point in the movie where you die for good if you die in someone else's game? This game sure doesn't.
What happened to Felix and Ralph they look terrible
The knack of the wii
10/5
Seems boring unless you are 8 years old. They could have made an awesome game considering how great the movie was but most wii games are child oriented and are terrible im my opinion
Adam Durbin Same. The wii u is much better for me
Adam Durbin the Wii actually has some very good games on it, this is just not one of them
Adam Durbin I got it back when i was 9 and still hated it lmao, can't believe how shitty it ended up being.
Grenda's voice from Gravity Falls really fits the doozie with Ralph's vpice
wtf is this
I think you mean, Spider-Man 2
Ok the game is just bad
Look at those 2d cutscenes xDD
they made really good games back in the nes and super nes era, and there are some other good titles out there today too like kingdom hearts
Funny Game
For one of the best videogame-based movies in the same timespan. Oh, the irony!
Why are people disliking this video?
the quality seems fine to me
Love You Ralph and Vanlipe
!
you are so right.they didn't even get the right voice actor for ralph
I might see how switching between Ralph and Felix can be interesting concept to solving puzzles. Although the game seems somewhat simplistic and the platform elements could use some improvement. I think this game could be good if they improved the music, the platforming, the difficulty, and perhaps the enemies themselves.
I didn't think it was real 💀
this was not what I was expecting
stuff that failed here
-graphics
-music
-and story
-also the voices
Didn't know it was a game
This is the greatest game ever
You had one job activision. ONE FUCKING JOB!!
Who in their right mind would see the end product of this game, and say "Yeah, perfect! Now put it out for sale!"? This is just... I can't even finish this sentence.

If they took full advantage of it, they could really make the game good. Especially if they had Calhoun and Vanellope as playable characters.
They used little detail on this, but the graphics are fine. Skyward Sword's graphics were good too. Also, Random, awesome profile photo XD
great as always.
Oh Jack McBrayer, maybe someday you'll be big enough to be able to turn over licensed spin-offs to a sound-alike like John C. Reilly does.
As a 3rd year Game Development Student, this shocks and appalls me on every level.
Yeah the Spiderman games were fantastic. Lord of the Rings games were pretty good too, as well as pretty much all the Lego: Whatever games.
1:30, if you pause carefully or turn on 720p, you can see King Candy on leaderboard, but he wasn't in the race (which is in introduction of the game).
Yep, I noticed. Because isn't that cutscene based off after the movie. And King Candy (Turbo) was defeated so..
@@SlashterYTPs Yeah, I guess so. )
Also wow, didn't think I'd get a response, I actually forgot that I wrote this comment here 7 years ago :D
This doesn't look too bad. I mean I'll give it a chance :)
Oh my god... I had this on when my computer randomly shut down... when I started it up, that noise scared the crap out of me. The static made me afraid to sit down. Then I heard Ralph and laughed... but not the funny laugh.
This game had so much potential and they do this to it. I think I've dodged a bullet here.
I'm going wreck this video-game in pieces
"Caarefuul!" "Caarefuul!" "Caareful!"
ALRIGHT SHUT UP FELIX! I still like you :)
That lady's voice at the end of stage one when Ralph finished climbing up the ladder was creepy.
It feels like a fan game
Anyone else remember when movie licenced games had merit and weren't rushed to be out the same time as the movie?
So much damn potential from all the beautiful worlds they created only to be thrown in the toilet.
I think the game would be a LOT better, if they made it with 8-bits graphics...like the minigames on No More Heroes 2!
check out an old game called rampage. its basically wreck it ralph but you get to knock down the buildings instead of fix them. that was a game
I think that game looks good and I don't care about graphics, its still a good game.
you are probably regretting that
Ralphs voice in the intro kinda sounds like your picture talking lol
They should've made the game like Namco Museum with a compilation of games except with games in the movie like Fix it Felix Jr., Hero's Duty, Sugar Rush, and Tapper.
The graphics on the intro were great~! Sucks that they couldn't keep them going.
You mean the system so many gamers love? The one I overheard some friends saying was the "best gaming system ever"? The one that was the system of legendary games such as "Earthbound" and "Super Mario RPG"?
I certainly hope you were not trying to insult this game.
10 years ago this game would be AWESOME
1:54 and 1:56 two of my favorite quotes.
I was hoping they would've done something with actual potential... but go figure, DS, 3DS, and Wii.
A beat 'em up that's more expansive than Scott Pilgrim would've been nice. They even set themselves up for something like that with the movie's credits.
why does this looks like a flash game?
got that boot leg feel..
What the hell are you talking about? It's literally just jumping around collecting things, just like any other fucking sidescroller.
I can't help but feel like the developers used the fact that it's a video game based on a movie about video games as an excuse not use the best gameplay. Like the character models, which look unpolished, as if they were still in beta.
even though this is bad, there is an online game (which i saw you play live on stream) and the app on the app store is pretty good as well
2:23 Ralph: If only I knew someone with a magic-
*changes into Felix*
:P
Disney: "One does not simply receive a great video game based on a great movie based on video games.
