I never usually comment on RUclips videos but Wallahi this is the best video I’ve watched from you brothers. It made me see my issues from a different perspective I didn’t fully grasp. Tawfeeq from Allah + mindset and continuously working on yourself while sacrificing secondary pleasures is the recipe to achieving anything. May Allah bless you all.

I don’t normally comment but honestly this was the BEST podcast you have ever done!!!! The issue of brothers claiming benefits instead of going out looking for a job is a real issue in the UK and has a huge impact on our society and the progression of the ummah as a whole. Please can you talk more about this issue. Thanks

There’s a difference between have a council flat and taking housing Benefits. I encourage brother to get a council house save up and buy it at discount instead of getting stuck in the rent trap and fall into mortgage game.

Assalamulaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu brothers and sisters :)
If you watch the intro itself, not even the entire video, you'll notice that Abu Bakr mentioned that this video is about a self-defeating MINDSET that many brothers are inflicting themselves with.
The video is not about circumstances, and it's not even really about welfare itself.
Every single one of us on the podcast has, throughout this video, made at least one disclaimer that this video is not about circumstances, and that we are not talking to those who are in genuine need of welfare. I would love to talk to you guys about this more, if you find that you truly disagree with one of the takes in the video, comment below and I'm sure we can talk about it

    What I’ll say is this…
I went to university, got my degree.
I was working for an Islamic charity but lost my job.
I applied for no joke 100s of jobs
    Changed my cv
Using ai to improve my cv, asking friends and family and going to career events to improve my cv
All I got was one interview and didn’t get the job
I was married and trying to support my wife
I applied for universal credit, got my construction card and now bagged an apprenticeship in the construction field.
If it wasn’t for universal credit I don’t know what I would have done

You're doing an excellent job, and please don't let negative comments get to you. Allah has elevated Muslims to the highest degree in paradise, so in my opinion, they should hold a similar status in this world, given that Allah controls both realms.
Regarding spirituality, living in the UAE hasn't diminished the spiritualness of these brothers.
Sometimes, I pray for the people in Gaza and reflect on what actions I can take beyond words. The best action for the ummah's strength is unity among Muslims to prevent tragedies like Gaza from recurring. This is what these brothers are advocating for. Before criticizing others, it's essential to self-reflect, as each of us has the time and capability to contribute positively rather than engaging in negative comments on platforms like RUclips.

Just to clarify the eligibility criteria for council housing isn't always for those on low income/benefits, for some if not most, it could be living in an overcrowded family home and the council facilitate by allowing you to be on the register to bid for flats and houses to move out of your overcrowded family home. I think this situation shouldn't be seen as taking welfare benefits or being a bum

Not everyone that is living in social housing is on benefits but I’m confused as to whether you are saying that social housing is also discouraged whether you are on benefits or not?

You are wrong! Muslims need to strive for wealth too. We are becoming weak muslims. Tauheed Tuesdays doesn't make you a momin. Why can't we take the example of H.z Abdul Rehman Bin Auf. Who sacrificed his wealth multiple times fi sabil illah, while gaining ilm and spending it fi sabil illah too. Did he just study all day and night and got rich doing nothing? No! Rather he worked so hard, that when he was offered half of the wealth by Ansar in Madinah, he chose to work on his own. Have you ever thought why he didn't chose to accept that and spend more time studying, practicing and memorizing more ahadith, and giving dawah.

Funny that fat/skinny fat people are talking about holding themselves to high esteem and having high self worth when in reality they only adopt this thought process in one aspect. Also funny that majority of people that put money in their pockets via umrah with the mandem are on benefits or living in a council flat. The humility is missing on this one but in fairness, the closest one to being balanced is Imran. Allahul musta'an. At the same time if you have no care or drive to have enough to make hijrah or be financial free as a man you need to check yourself.

We have been living in darkness for so long without sharia, that we have forgotten the beauty of it. Now all our concern is, how to pay our rent and put food on our table. It's the states duty under Islam to provide all the above for free, so that Muslims can focus on other things such as family and spreading our religion.

In terms of counsil housing, i think it is smart to take advantage of it when available. If for example you want to stay in your major city and the gov gives you an apartment which isn't a hood or drug infested area, take it. You already pay enough in taxes so go benefit from your hard work. Taking welfare cheques is different as that entails you don't have a job but getting subsidized housing is free game.

    • @user-yf5je1dn1q

Don't tell Muslims to do haram if your a cheater well there are us who are not.
