We found RB Bakery and tried some of their best sellers and they did not disappoint.

Kurt, some karenderyas can give you half order of the dish for half price, just ask them. Filipinos sometimes shy giving you less even if you told them your gonna pay in full.☺️

the siopao you tried is actually baked siopao bun(brown). we also have steamed siopao bun (white). Steamed siopao is always available at 7-11. Baked siopao is only available in select bakeries.
siopao is Chinese-inspired so you can always have them from China towns all over the US. So is taho. But Chinese sell taho only in places where there's a lot of Filipinos such as in New York City.

Sir Kurt,, the use of rice is to balance the saltiness of the viand like the adobo,,most of Asian food are salty so they always add rice to neutralized the salted taste.. Enjoy the food 😅😅

The tuna they had for the pan de tuna are the flakes in can. Prepped it with their blends and spices. Then baked to goodness.
The toasted siopao is a bun with pork and egg filling. Most white siopaos are steamed whereas for this one is toasted or baked.
Watching from San Francisco California with LOVE. Loving the good vibes with the tinderos. Never a dull moment with the kababayans.

Bayan means town. Sometimes it's also used as nation/country. But generally, most people use "bansa" for country so if ever you are in any town, bayan means town.

They called Bayan to small city to not that big city , its like a word to describe when they are serving only a little bit of food and vegies. a little strip mall or a corner corner.if it is half of the city sometimes they called it Bayan.
