My internet speed test came back telling me I could get like 65.5mbps download but was only ever getting like 10. Put those DNS numbers in and boom what a difference, now getting 50/60mbps as standard that’s awesome man thanks 👍🏻

Austalian here! I tired both of your methods and I found that DNS settings in your other video worked better for me. Increased my downloads from 22mbps to 27.7 mbps and upload speeds went from 2 to 5 mbps. Thanks heaps man.
I've been trying to fix a problem I've been having specifically where my upload was throttling around 10 percent of what i am paying for and this actually fixed it.
This is the only tip on RUclips that has actually helped, my mb/s when downloading a game was between 30-70 but afterwards it went up to 70-100

This decreased my latency from 80 to 65 but also decreased my download speed by half. The problem I was having is that I was disconnecting in the middle of certain games.

This only works if it's not matching your current download and upload speeds it's not going to give you faster internet than what you already have purchased if you have for upload it's not going to go up

They "why" behind this method is he is showing you how to configure your devices to use opendns instead of using the dns servers provided by your ISP. When set to automatic, your xbox will rely on the dns server that comes from your ISP. The addresses he provides are for opendns. There is also GoogleDns addresses 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.8.4. Either address scheme can result in faster browsing. This is good information that LethalvD is providing.
The following is from an article I found on HowtoGeek
"DNS servers work by matching the domain names you type into apps-like web browsers-to their associated IP address. When you type a domain name into your browser, for example, your PC contacts the DNS servers it has listed, the server looks up the IP address for that domain name, and then the PC can fire off it’s browsing request to that IP address. The trouble is that most ISPs maintain DNS servers that can be a little on the slow and unreliable side. Google and OpenDNS both maintain their own, free, public DNS servers that are typically much faster and more reliable. You just have to tell your computer (or xbox) to use them."

DNS is a name resulotion service. It will have little to no impact on download and upload speeds. Your Xbox isn't resolving a name for every packet sent and received. Once a site's name has been resolved to an IP address the DNS is not used until another request for name resolution occurs. Downloads and uploads are not proxied through DNS servers. File and data transfers on the Internet rely on a connection protocol such as FTP, UDP, TCP, etc.

True; however, if you have a crappy wifi AP/Router from your ISP in your home it's probably doing a bad job of DNS lookups, storing records, along with limited memory for those functions and routing tables. NAT tables get corrupt all the time. That's why restarting your router is effective in increasing speed from time to time. And even if's it a decent router why not remove the HOP? If the request is getting forwarded outside anyway? Sure we're talking about nanoseconds, but still worth trying.

Thank you so much ! I had ethernet speed issue on my new Xbox One X and it fix it all ! from around 70Mbits/s down/up to 300Mbits/s down/up. I can now download games @ around 250Mbit/s. Thankssssss again !!!
I just find it stupid we have to download the game on our console and when you load up the game the console still asks you to insert the disc of said game you downloaded.

First test done on Hotspot, which is why you got the extremely high lag (latency). Then you connected true wireless connection provided through a router or modem. Which is why your lag (latency) dropped all the way down to 51. Not to mention that the max dl/ul you can have on 4g connection is 40/15. You were at what?: 31/10. You for no real reason; blanked out your network id. Which can be named anything and gives out 0 information. You clearly hid it so the viewers wouldn’t see that you connected to different networks. Which you could’ve prevented just by not showing it at all.

Because now your router/modem is running different dns than your device. Meaning you have to connect through yours, then through those and then you’ll get an internet connection. If you knew a damn thing about how speeds and latency worked. Then you would’ve already stopped replying. I’m hitting block on your stupidity so I don’t have to read it anymore.

Not really. Probably just my internet. My latency is about 811. When i did it it was 804. I recommend, (if you can) try to hook your console up to the internet via cable/ wire. That helps a lot. I live in australia so the internet is sh*t at best.

You, my friend is a LEGEND. I went from kilobytes to really fast download speed. It really works
I run WiFi with 50Mb/s, and once I moved my set up right beside my router and have a hard wire connected, it went up to 120
This made my connection go from 8mbps download to 3 mbps from 101 latency to 255 from 0% packet loss to 10% packet loss and my wireless strenght stay at 72% and im east coast btw 😑 great video....

Start downloading whatever you need then go to network settings. And stay on the bandwidth usage page. On the top left it’ll tell you how fast you’re downloading. If you leave the page the speed drops again.
This has been working for me, it’s something easy to check to see if it will work. Hope you all find success in figuring this out. I posted this on a few videos in case it helps, the more solutions we all have, the better.

It’s been nine days since I started the Modern Warfare update all this time and it’s only at 39%. Why do I torture myself with this game I’m not even like first person shooter. Thank you! My internet is 110mbps and upload is 10. However on My WiFi it went to 2mbps and was so slow and laggy. Once I changed it like you showed it went to 56 and 10. I use to get 100 and 12 on WiFi but I’ll take it. Now I don’t have to use my Ethernet when I don’t have to.
