So glad you have your comments on! I've been watching for a long time and think what you do and all the love you have for your dollies is amazing. You have such a tender and kind heart. Sending lots of love!!
So happy to see an update of your 80s barbie collection!! Years ago, you inspired me by your love for the 80s gals and got me into collecting and restoring them. They’re my favorite dolls ever now! Thank you for all you do…. Looking forward to part 2! ❤
I love these videos♡☆ thank you for doing updated 80s superstar barbie doll collection videos, I relish 🤩 every second of every one of these videos thx again for sharing both here on RUclips & Flickr I love love your Flickr as well🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼♡♡♡
Shelly I love your collection your collection make me smile and nostalgia dolls we love I appreciate of who you are and I'll been fan of your channel quite 3 years I'm big supported for you ❤💝💖
Beautiful Dolls! I had a Magic Moves barbie when I was 4 or 5. So many happy childhood memories! I made a wish list of my favorites while I was watching. ❤
The 80s were such a sweet spot for Mattel and Barbie in quality and creativity. Just the feel of these Barbies in the hand, modern Barbie doesn't give me that. I'm so grateful that collectors have preserved them especially now that we've hit 40+ years since then. 😬 ( and I always enjoy your stories on how you got them)
Just got to say my favorite era of Barbies. I call mine My 80's Ladies. I love them. The features, the big hair, the big dresses, the makeup, everything...thank you for allowing us to see yours...love this channel..❤❤
@@AThousandSplendidDolls 🤣 yeah your right, they are getting up there in years, but they still look fantastic!!! Those bent arms and big dresses were everything seeing on the shelves..❤️❤️. Thank you again...🥰
Wow great collection! Love all these dolls 😊 I’m still on the look out for the roller skating superstar Barbie from that era but they are so expensive it’s ridiculous and i refuse to pay that much - she’s on my bucket list ❤. I wish I still had mine from my childhood😢
This is amazing. Thank you very much for bringing back the 80s Barbies. I have a question about the Happy Birthday & Dreamtime dolls as both have two different versions released in different years in the 80s. The Dreamtime Barbie 2nd version released as Toys R Us exclusive I believe later in 1988 or 87. Do the 2 versions of each doll look the same or have different face screenings in your opinion?
Thank you so much :) Okay, so I looked into this a long time ago since some of 1984 Dreamtime dolls looked so different, but I just double checked again. Actually the 1988 and 1984 Dreamtime dolls are in fact subtly different. The 1984 doll has more eyelashes on the top and bottom of her eyes. The 1988 doll only has four lashes on the bottom and seven on the top. Her face also seems consistently crisper (she looks a little more modern if you ask me, despite the changes being so subtle). One of my collector books that is focused on 1980s Barbies even states that they have slightly different faces too. As for the Happy Birthday dolls, they are nothing alike. I have both versions in this video--the 1980 doll has a mullet and one facial screening, the 1983 gal has no bangs, a curly hairstyle, and an entirely different face. I hope that helps :)
Thrifting collection looking so fun bcs of you! You had so many collection we are all jelly here 😭👏🏻 Also I’m trying so hard to figure out a side-eye barbie with 80s superstar sculpt she had kinda like blonde hair with bangs, could you probably identify who she is?
Wow, how do you remember all those details? You must have a photogenic memory. I would be hard pressed to give details in 10% of my dolls. Also the blue eye shadow reminds me of my cousin who wore it for forty years and only changed "recently". Good video.
Thank you :) I do have a photographic memory actually, which always came in handy (even for school). But I do write down when/where I got them on my Flickr, so I can reference that if my memory gets muddled.
I always like that Barbies from the '80s. That's where I was born 1982.😊 I don't like the Barbie generation now. Just keep hollow classic. That's what I think. And I really like the bend and snap needs. And you know how long it took me to find the holiday Barbie and the dress. Took me a very long time. I didn't want to buy on eBay but I found the doll in a thrift store and the dress had to buy that on eBay.
It's awesome you found holiday Barbie at a thrift store :) I love the Barbies from today because they are so diverse. Sadly Barbie from the 80s was mostly blonde.
@@AThousandSplendidDolls I do like that they have a variety. They need to have more dolls with disabilities because I have cerebral and I never see a doll with a leg brace ever. Like AFOs. Or a walker. That would be something that would be amazing that Mattel would think about that.
@@AThousandSplendidDolls Yes, there is a lot of blonde Barbie's. I think they're opening up to the Barbie world . I wished they spent more time on detailing their clothing like in the '80s and '90s. I hate how they use printed patterns on outfits. Just imagine if it was almost like rainbow high clothing first wave. I would be in love
It does seem like they are slowly branching out into making more dolls with disabilities, so you never know what the next one will be! I hate the way the patterns are printed too...it looks like paper doll clothes. It would be awesome if the fashions were as detailed as brands like Rainbow High :)
@@AThousandSplendidDolls well I hope you get more rainbow high. I seen some in our thrift store only $7 Canadian. I didn't grab any. I was thinking about sending some to you and Colleen . If I do come across I might save two of them. Just let me know. It would have to be sometime in June or July because I'm saving up for something. If I run across them in my travels. If they are not expensive.
There aren't a lot of real ways to speed up hair growth (it's a genetic thing that is affected by hormones and stress). But maintaining the health of your hair ensures that it stays intact enough to grow long. So making sure to trim split ends is VERY important (because they will travel up the hair shaft and damage the whole thing). Limiting heat, being gentle while detangling, not over processing your hair with bleach/color, using the right shampoo for your hair type/scalp...all that little stuff really adds up to health hair (which in turn means longer hair).
So courageous of you putting yourself in front of the camera and sharing with us your amazing collection of Barbies! Thank you.
Aw, thank you!
