Tactical squad based shooter, set during the invasion of Not Iraqistan sees the player shoot the not Iraqistani's, murder it's leader and go home. It's an early 2000s military game, what do you expect ?

Such a good game. Too bad there is no way anything resembling this will ever get made again. Since Brothers in Arms for example, no game that isn't a strategy game has implemented a surpression system.
Well...SQUAD does have a suppression system, but your point still mostly stands

Squad does. So does insurgency sandstorm. Ready or not does too now that i think about it. Hell let loose. Most modern shooters have a suppression mechanic.
My own unsubtanstiated opinion if they would remake this into current graphic technology it still have a niche.
At least was a war game, with multiple squads, realistc enviroment and enemies, not like nowadays games.

Well hot damn first time ive seen a game where 3rd infantry division is on display. Awesome to see. And never knew there was this much character for a 2004 shooter.
Fun fact if you dont know this but it has a sequel thats even better then this one. Like for example you can split a team of four into two man teams. Pretty cool.
This is not really a shooter, it is a strategy game.
The guys who worked on this game also worked on an Officer Training simulation tool. (This game is based on that tool)
So there is quite a bit of "Real stuff" on this game ^^
I wish they would remaster desert storm or socom games

After this game, you should try Full Spectrum Warrior: Ten Hammers, its the same as the first game
Use the cheat codes to unlock a whole different version of the game that is much harder and gives you larger fireteams

This game brings back memories. I used to have this game, but unfortunately, I was too young to play this game properly and this game was forever lost never being able to completed it

I remember playing this and the “Ten Hammers” sequel the latter was a right Royal pain in the ass to play.

@@AFGuidesHD cool man, oh yeah by the way if you can't change it to the resolution you want to. Find the resolution.cfg file and edit it with the notepadd and put the resolution number in it and if you didn't find the cfg file then you can just took the original full spectrum one and paste it on ten hammers. You gotta load a mission first before all that tho, shame it got no mods for it

Wait to see you ragequit on Ten Hammer. The gameplay mechanic is completely different they make it more challenging but there are times i regret some aspect of the first opus

@@AFGuidesHD The cover system is less bullshit. Unlike here were a cover is a full cover no matter what you got hit one of your dude got his head to high, (press cover button to force them into cover). The same goes for your enemies too yet there is no random hit, This moffo know how tou aim and they aims damn well. Sometime they do maneuver on you (it is worse depending on the difficulty) I can't recall the number of "Unable to comply sir" when i just ask to throw grenade.
Talking about greande, never use them indoor in you don't want to blow you entire squad, Bullet goes through Smoke so be sure they stop firing.
There are actually cools mechanic like you can split your squad into little group of 2 so you can control 4 group at once, you can enter some Buildings make assault and stuff. Control Bradley, call out for an airstrike and the plot is actually cool. Bradley are not immortal so be sure they are properly protect by infantry.
I know sounds like i hate it but no i like it a lot. Once you get your hand on all the game mechanics it will be easier, but first you'll suffer from taking hit from random direction and try to figure out why. Missions get harder too.
Personal Tip: A well used M203 can unlock any situation.

A strategy game FPS that sucks
Its impressive how poorly you picked up on the point of the game. Its a small unit tactics game but over an hour in, you havent figured out the basics of using cover, fire and maneuver, and flanking.
