I'll be a new inboard boat owner pretty soon. It seems like all of this should be pretty intuitive. But I can see going into Reverse the first time could get you to panic a bit if your use to outboards. Thanks for the vid.
Needed this video two months ago lol couple scuffs on our new A24 we launch out of a VERY tight marina no room for error learning the hard way was stressful but we should be able to handle ourselves anywhere else ! Great content as a new boat owner would love to see more of this to help us learn more !
Thank you Jeff! If you click on my channel then go to Playlists it should be there. I also put a link to the Playlist at the beginning of most of my videos in the top corner. Also, there should be a link in the description on all my videos. Hope this helps.
Live the video man I’ve been watching videos getting ready for lake season when I get my wakeboat and out of all of them this one is the one I understood best. Great videos as always !!!
As i mentioned before i am green when it comes to inboards.... so I bought a thing called a drill prop.. it chucks up to my dewalt and is kinda like a troller. Its perfect for countering torque steer at low speeds and when in a tight marina during high winds( kims at canyon ferry 30+mph!!) Yeah, bumping is the key.
Malibu had bow thrusters you could add at the time I ordered for an extra 10k. Far from worth it for me. They now have a Stearns turn option but still very expensive.
Once you operate a boat with thrusters it’s horrid not having them. One of the biggest items I miss going from our big boat to our wake boat. Twin inboards and a bow thruster is a dream to operate. Only thing better is a joystick setup.
Great tips!👍 would you be willing to do a video on driving tips for getting a wakeboarder or wake surfer up out of the water?Things like throttle control etc.
great tips.next video tip. HOW TO PICK UP A RIDER AND TO SLOW DOWN WHEN DOING SO. I hate the people who do the high speed turn around, messes up the water . UGH my pet peeve !!!
This has been on my to do list for a few years now, I've just been trying to get the right shots. Im making it a point to get it done this season. Thanks.
Wake responsibility would be a good topic. I’m not sure if it’s an issue where you are but there seems to be a growing hate towards wake boats. Especially on smaller water ways where boats are being reporter swamped by the wake’s created while surfing.
@@timetoride32 hasn't been a problem on the lakes I go to but that is because there is barely any docks or houses on the lakes. I can totally understand the problems which can be caused though.
Of course, people need to be cognizant of, and responsible for, their boat wakes. But, owners of low profile boats also have some responsibility to use their boats in more secluded locations and in a responsible manner. Hey, everybody wants smooth water, but expecting it all the time and in any place is pretty unrealistic. Like anything else worthwhile, you have to work for it, pay for it, or both.
demo one , thanks demo a used boat in a equal price range. That way you have a base line for you choice of boat.. It always seems the budget boats are missing something. So just try that and it should help you make a good choice for your needs. I have a 08 supra and it still lives up to todays needs for wake and wave for surfing . Hope that helps. I am sure Tim will also have some advice ...
I think HeyDay's are great for providing another option for people to get into the wakesurfing world, but I agree with Brian. Its best to do side by side comparisons and determine the options which mean the most to you.
WAKE MANN thanks! I did pick up a 2020 WT2-DC and really like it so far. I was very close to picking up a 2013 Malibu for the same price. Your video is super helpful as I had an older Campion bow rider with an Inboard/outboard. What a difference in steering! I’m still getting the hang of handling it and I’m going to try your tips this weekend if the weather is nice!

Thanks for the vid.
You're welcome!
Just bought an older Malibu. I’ve driven inboards before but this will definitely help ALOT. Much love from North Carolina
Thank you! Glad I could help.
Use fenders between your viat and docks, etc. The fender will protect your voat withour risking injury because a person cannot always stop your boat.

Thank you! Sometimes you just have to deal with tight situations. Every once in a while the wind catches me off guard.
Great video thank you. How do i just find the ownership series. I just want those for a beginner boat owner first. Thanks!

Thank you for the quality content. Appreciate the time to take to assist other Boats or would be Boaters.
You're welcome! Thank you for your support!

Oh and I watch the ads too.
That sounds cool.
@@toddhewett1027 thank you! I appreciate it.
We just bought a Centurion Ri237 so this’ll be very helpful!
Congrats on your boat purchase! Glad I can help.
Pavati wake boats have bow and stern thrusters that help with dock loading/unloading

This has been such a helpful video for me!!!!
Awesome! Glad I could help.
There’s finally a boat about 5 min in
Did I see you headed towards Laurel this morning!?
Good content man!
Thank you! I didn't go anywhere yesterday so it couldn't have been me, haha.

Power turns have their place just not when surfing...
Or wakeboarding or skiing.
Unless a downed rider is in imminent danger, turning at high speed to pick them up is the hallmark of an ignorant and/or rookie driver.
Great video!!!
Thank you!
Start Al, like 5min in
I'm in Havasu and hate the stupid go fast boats.
Yea I bet you have all kinds of traffic there, seems to be a popular place
That water is seriously brown must be getting a lot of rain.
Its because they basically drain this end of the lake every year and then fill it up, like an iced latte

Great idea! I will add it to my list. The last thing we want is for wake boats to be banned from lakes.
WAKE MANN it’s crazy. But it seems it’s gaining some support on private lakes.
@@timetoride32 hasn't been a problem on the lakes I go to but that is because there is barely any docks or houses on the lakes. I can totally understand the problems which can be caused though.
WAKE MANN I’m out in CA. Boat regularly in AZ . The hate is strong. Haha. Thanks for the videos keep them coming!

To much greed with these boats
