It doesn’t actually mean “first people”. It’s a way of referring to the people who lived there before being colonized. Israel didn’t even start claiming that they aren’t colonizers until recently. They used to brag about it and it was a huge selling point when they were attempting to get Britain on board.
The term indigenous is usually applied to people being colonized.
The Jews colonized the land millennia ago. The became indigenous and then got colonized by the Romans. Eventually leading to the Palestinians being colonized by Jewish descendant Europeans.

As someone who lives in a conflict zone (Kashmir) I can confirm that it’s not uncommon to find people who are against the resistance fighters and blame them for the violence that Indian forces inflict on us. When people endure war for this long, many lose the will to keep on fighting….We can’t blame them for it, but there’s no excuse for siding with the occupier.

The older I get the more I genuinely believe that evil people who disguise their evil acts as righteous acts carried out in the name of God are undefeated. They’re simply unbeatable. Because, it’s way too easy to brainwash people. Also, there are so many people who enjoy being evil that there ends up being nothing you can do. Kindness is too easy to frame as weakness, and thus it’s a hopelessly vicious cycle humans find themselves eternally stuck in.

One small correction at 21:48 . People living in the end of the ottoman empire were not living happily ever after. The ottomans exterminated around 2 million armenians, assyrians, and greeks. 2000 years ago Jews lived in Palestine, as well as Arabs, Romans, Africans(because I don't know all my specific country info).
