I'd just do the job. The person was probably scared to bring attention to the horses condition. Afraid of being judged and being charged with neglect. Like in the comments.
Any animal owners that don’t get treatment for their animals as soon as they see something wrong with their animal and get them medical treatment don’t deserve to have them, they hurt too Bless all animals ✝️
You have got to be one of the kindest knowledgeable farriers around..I marvel at how you work to repair what others would just say send to slaughter or euthanize..thank you for caring and teaching..that is what owners need the most - someone to teach them
Thank you for all you do for these animals, people shouldn’t have them if they can’t gave them the full care they need and deserve, well done to you all 👏👏❤️❤️
I grew up farming with animals. We raised hogs for sale, chickens for our own use, mules and horses to work and a milk cow. We farmed with the horses and mules until I left home for the Navy in the 70’s. I can’t believe the owners aren’t fined and the animals taken away. My Grandfather and I did the hoof maintenance. Every so often we had it done by a professional in case our continuous labors were allowing errors to go unchecked. If you can’t afford to have it done then you should learn how as we did or not own the animals.
I do not know much about horses however I think I have never seen a horse hoof like this before, And as you said if this is not attended to it would only create more problems for the horse in the long run, I think that it is an exquisite job that you do, With so much conflict and disasters happening around the world, Not much time is taken to think about the animals that are in pain and that we are creating an unsteady world for, I am a great animal lover and I do not like to see any animal come of harm or in pain, I thank you so very much for helping this poor animal out and do what you do is an excellent job, again thank you so very much.👍
For anyone making harsh judgements and presumptions. Many of these horses are in very poor rural areas. Their owners cared enough to call a farrier. Remember that! Perhaps they had to save up to pay for that. Because it’s a poor rural area these animals are probably very much needed work animals for their owners. Please stop commenting like every horse owner has to be a rich person who can call an expensive vet or “they don’t deserve the horse!” Poor people can care about their animals too. What’s more, it’s the poor people working with their animals to make a living that actually NEED the animal. Not the rich snobs with pasture “pets”
thank you, there are really many cases that are like that, and a veterinarian around here is not cheap at all, often a consultation and care costs around 1 minimum wage, but there are also rich people who hire people to take care of animals, and these people they don't take care of it properly, and there are cases that in the pasture the animal ends up hurting itself by playing or scratching itself and ends up hurting itself badly...
They also tend to make the assumption that the animal wasn't recently bought in that condition. That the animal wasn't owned by an elderly person that died, and no one could take the animal until the probate process concluded. Or that the animal wasn't able to hide it's condition from the owners. S%^t happens. In the rainy season you might not be able to get a truck across the pasture for months, or see damage like that to a foot because it's covered in sticky clay. People don't allow stuff like that on purpose, and ones that will would never call a farrier anyway - so it wouldn't be on video.
Don't be hard in the "rich people" as the fact that they have the ability to pay the vets and farriers that allow those same people to offer discounted care since they can still make a living. Having been around horses all my life, I can truthfully say this hoof was not that bad, I have seen much worse heal beautifully.
You know that has to hurt. Glad you are fixing it. I would find the owner of the animal and offer to help pay for the hoof to be fixed. No hoof no horse!
You do not wrap a hoof with white line disease. The pathogens that cause it are anaerobic so the best thing you can do to kill them is keep them exposed to the air.
First I think the owner of the horse needs to keep a better eye on his horses . This poor horse this must have be going on for a long time. You really really know your business. You are a very good with these horses
Hello from the Pacific Northwest of the USA! The first thing I'd do if I saw a hood like this is cry...if only because this poor horse had a terrible time walking. The pain must have been unbearable.
I’d want to try to get a shoe on it if there was enough hoof to hold it. I’d also want to trace the white line disease as far as I could, treat and stop it from spreading. It looks to me though more like an abscess came through the coronary band. Personally I’d want a shoe on that to prevent further injury, however that is not always a realistic option.
I think if the owner was there I would ask what happened in as none judgemental way as I could. Id try to get them talking to get an idea of how they feel about the horse and horses generally, the horses story...I would do this to see the deeper reasons behind the horse not having the help it needs and or if they 'care'. This is what Id base my next move on.
No, you really need to take a look at the owners of this horse how they never took care of it and don't care for it really, really? You do that to your own children too
OMG THAT'S A TERRIBLE LOOKING HOOF I'M NOT A HOOF PERSON BUT I'VE BEEN AROUND ENOUGH OF THEM TO SAY OMG ,THE POOR ANIMAL! AND YOUR DOING HIM GOOD ! WAY TO GO !!!
What is that thing on the horse's other leg? Could it be some kind of parasite? Thank you for your great work in helping this Nobel Beast and restoring it's hoof. I think it is so sad that the owner allows the horse's hoof get it this state. I think about the horse's after they are born are lifted to a standing position and remain standing for the rest of their lives and only lie down when they are dying. Having to stand on a painful hoof like this until men like you restore their hoof, you do a great service to these Horses and other horse related animals like the Donkey.
I wonder if something like the Corona salve would help the hoof grow better. It seems so dry! It’s not only antiseptic, it encourages healing. Just wondering. Really great stuff.
I’m able to make sure my horses and donkey get regularly scheduled vet and farrier visits, but I’m aware that for some people it’s difficult. If someone is barely paying for their own food, they might be very well aware that the animal has a problem but are doing well to keep it fed. All of us have gone through hard times. If the owner has been ill they might not know what’s happening. I’ve had long COVID for 3 years, and have had weeks when I couldn’t get out of bed. I’m lucky to have a husband who loves the animals and cares for them when I can’t. Not everyone is in my situation. I think my husband kind of likes it when I’m not leaving the farm much because I have a habit of bringing home anything that looks lost or hungry. I don’t have a lot of extra $$$ but we do donate pet food to the local food bank every month. Just something to consider if you want to help out. PS…. I’ve spent a lot of time trying to maintain my pastures and remove hazards. My horses can still hurt themselves.
I would offer a couple of rounds of care for the horse at no charge...I own horses that I do all care for including trimming...I can do shoes when necessary but keep mine all barefoot. I also do 2 for a friend that has trouble financially
With the narration on these videos, it's constantly reflected that it's no big deal. But it's painfully obvious, these animals are grossly neglected, by allowing these problems progress to such a state. Without any early intervention. This is cruelty to animals, with gross negligence.. Shame on the owner's of these animals, they should face criminal charges....
In some cases it is carelessness on the part of the owner, I agree with you, but in other cases it is carelessness on the part of caregivers, lack of labor and grooming professionals, or even very mischievous and playful animals that end up getting tangled up and hurting each other badly...
That hoof is laminitic, you can tell by the ridges and overall abnormal appearance of the hoof wall. This horse needs some very detailed trimming and shodding. This horse didn't end up like this overnight, this is months of no hoof, medical and feed care.
Where is the medicine? You know that he is hurting. Please put something to make the foot soft the hoof is not well would you like to walk with your foot cracked like that? I will not watch until the animals have medicine. Why is it that all of the horse’s feet are harsh looking and. Dry? Thank you for trying to help the horses and try to learn. God bless you.
I would have no idea of what to do, call for help is first as though i did own 2 horses as a youngster, my parents paid for n kept on top of anything physical. I was very young, n know much more now,my first look would make me call for help.
I dnt understand why the owner would allow it to get to that point. Horses need regular hoof care and if you can’t provide that then sell the horse to someone who can. That looks painful
😮 I would do what you're doing I find a furrier and have them fix his hooves they're just like toenails they hurt just as well as your I would find somebody to fix
If you cannot afford to take care of a horse you should NOT own a horse. It doesn’t matter if one is rich or poor - horses cost money to maintain! If you don’t have the money to pay for resources (farriers, vets, feed, etc) don’t own a horse! And no matter how cheerful the narrator is, a sugar coated turd is still a turd!
This horse needs better nutrition first. Farriers need to stop using this “post” type of stand and go to something more stable for both horses and fairrier
Thank you so much for taking care of these horses. I have rescued 2 horses and they are my favorite animals on this planet.
I think I would lecture the owner all about his horses hooves. This is shocking how he has not sort help earlier. Thank you so much with what you do.
I'd just do the job. The person was probably scared to bring attention to the horses condition. Afraid of being judged and being charged with neglect. Like in the comments.
@@devilmecare as well he should be
Any animal owners that don’t get treatment for their animals as soon as they see something wrong with their animal and get them medical treatment don’t deserve to have them, they hurt too Bless all animals ✝️
He wouldn't have to worry about negative comments had you not filmed it and posted it online. Huh? Dummy.
Thank you for all you do for injured or diseased animals. Your skills have improved their lives and hopefully instructed the owners.
You have got to be one of the kindest knowledgeable farriers around..I marvel at how you work to repair what others would just say send to slaughter or euthanize..thank you for caring and teaching..that is what owners need the most - someone to teach them
I have two horses and this man (watched him several times) he is the best I’ve ever seen!!
He is a good horseshoer, he cleaned it up and it looked OK. He made the right decision to correct the hoof a little bit at a time.
Thank you for all you do for these animals, people shouldn’t have them if they can’t gave them the full care they need and deserve, well done to you all 👏👏❤️❤️

Beeindruckend.
Ich als Stadtkind habe davon keine Ahnung.
Ausserdem habe ich sehr großen Respekt vor Pferden.
Toll einem Profi zu zusehen. 👍👍
Thank you open Gate for sharing it . God bless you 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

That horse is so patient
Blessings to all of you kind people ❤
If i found an animal in need of hoof care I would find you 😊
I know they would have great than !

It's nice that you respected the animal's privacy.
Even now, it might have been a giraffe for all I know.
People who let their donkeys or horses or what ever get in that shape have hell coming for them!
Would like to see if they wrapped the hoof once they got it cleaned up and shaped...doing a great job...thank you for sharing

What a rotted foot! I would be curious to know how much it has mended.
Hey thanks for the vid!!

I didn't think that can be repaired. Pretty good.
If I were farrier/trimmer I hadn`t had the courage to treat this hoof. HIGH ESTEEM!!
I think if the owner was there I would ask what happened in as none judgemental way as I could. With respect, the horse is getting help. And really, that's all that matters.
No, you really need to take a look at the owners of this horse how they never took care of it and don't care for it really, really? You do that to your own children too
I like the vast improvement
He is making you earn your money today. He sure didn’t like your trimming stand
I have no idea what to do in this case. I’ve never seen such a damaged hoof
Thank you for what you do!!!!!
OMG THAT'S A TERRIBLE LOOKING HOOF I'M NOT A HOOF PERSON BUT I'VE BEEN AROUND ENOUGH OF THEM TO SAY OMG ,THE POOR ANIMAL! AND YOUR DOING HIM GOOD ! WAY TO GO !!!

That other front hoof is bad too
Thanks for sharing and teaching
I wonder if something like the Corona salve would help the hoof grow better. It seems so dry! It’s not only antiseptic, it encourages healing. Just wondering. Really great stuff.
You can use fiberglass filler or Bondo to add or reshape the hoof so in time it will geow back out looking and feeling better
Wow, it's looking better already. 😅😅😅😅😅
gracias por ayudar al caballito

SO RELAXING WATCH YOU TAKE CARE HORSE COWS ...
Can you apply a silicon or resin type covering the hole whilst it grows out? Does these type of hoof problems occur more in unshod horses?
Why don’t you fill that crack with some type of acrylic to stop the crack from getting bigger , give the foot a chance to grow out ❤
Total neglect, disgusting to have left this hoof for so long
Good job!
Why can’t you use the grinding wheel like they use on cow hooves? Seems like it would be easier and faster.
Owner needs a lecture. Hoof should never get to that level of damage
The operator is just super
Your English is quite good. Anything to help an animal wild or tame.
❤❤❤❤❤ RSP RSP RSP Vella edh mam zot zot ju bekofte te gjithve Vella
How would that help get any better?
Thank you both.
Buen trabajo quisiera saber si el hueco del Casco se podría CALSAR ( Rellenar ) con un material duro. Para que así no siga dañando se.
is this one of them feet you would put one of them resin mold shoes on?
Fantastic work
What about a medicated spray to affected area to prevent infection? Maybe a soe if able or a wrap?
Do they crack like that because they dry out
4:18 i would call you sir. From Central Arkansas USA
What that poor old horse needs, is a new owner, obviously the current one has been AWOL in the horses care.
I will call a vet to help this horse to get better soon as possible
Voice speaking could be improved. Thanks for helping the horses.
I would offer a couple of rounds of care for the horse at no charge...I own horses that I do all care for including trimming...I can do shoes when necessary but keep mine all barefoot. I also do 2 for a friend that has trouble financially
I’d be pissed and take it away from him
I think, I would want a shoe on that hoof and a clamp over the break. Leave on long enough to see the hoof is healing as needed.

if i saw a horse that needed treatment i’d call Renato!😊
Fibre glass and resin would also repair that broken hoof.
Just curious did you shoe him them after removing the wall
we removed only the excess, we instructed them not to work with the animal until it was completely cured...
I would love to meet the owner
Let me know during yr operation the animal gets pain. Unbelievable.
An English version for the non Brazilians, nice.

Fantastic
Me personally I will try to get some help for that horse it's the right thing to do
Thanks!
भाई साहब तुम्हारे हथियार सही नहीं है घोड़े के खर अच्छी तरह साफ नहीं हो रहे
Could you please include a shot of the entire horse? That would be interesting, and provide context.
thank you
Será o mesmo canal do @porteiraaberta ? Só que em inglês ?
sim somos a versão em ingles
This poor horse has never been farrier trained, it's sad, it's been a minute since this horse has been cared for!
How do you determine how much of the frog gets trimmed?
measuring by the trimming tool itself...
Where is the medicine? You know that he is hurting. Please put something to make the foot soft the hoof is not well would you like to walk with your foot cracked like that? Renato you got a new subs ex video
I would have no idea of what to do, call for help is first as though i did own 2 horses as a youngster, my parents paid for n kept on top of anything physical.
I was very young, n know much more now,my first look would make me call for help.
Este vídeo é lindo ,
Ele se chama Renato, podólogo de equinos, ele ama o que faz ,trata bem os cavalos com muito amor .Mora no Brasil ,como eu .
Why did he not remove the false sole
I would call my farrier if that ever happens to my horse.
А есть видео, как сейчас у этой лошади копыто????
I dnt understand why the owner would allow it to get to that point. Horses need regular hoof care and if you can’t provide that then sell the horse to someone who can. That looks painful
Maybe the owner is mental disorders
😮 I would do what you're doing I find a furrier and have them fix his hooves they're just like toenails they hurt just as well as your I would find somebody to fix
Why do the owners of these horses leave it so long before they get it fixed pore horses❤
what would I do if I saw that hoof? go back to bed and cry.

What be a whole lot better without the dude's voice commentary
Strange you don't show the horse ..
I’d call you every time
I keep worrying about you cutting yourself. Those tools are sharp!!
he need more protein?
Вот Как доводят до такого состояния???!!!Мрак!
I also definitely wouldn't hire this ferrier
