I disagree a lot with this video not about how you said their abilities would interact with each other the scaling for the akatsuki you downplayed them way to much but I get it because if you didn’t it wouldn’t be fair they all scale to biju and the biju have calcs ranging from country to multi continental and most akatsuki members have ftl calcs too so it’s not fair at all In my opinion but if you didn’t do it like that the video wouldn’t be fun I still like the video though and I’m not trying to hate on you or anything I’m just giving my 2 cents on the matter even if you don’t agree with me

@@foxmountain8065 no I’m not. The contraptions in Sasori’s puppets aren’t controlled with magnet release. If you want to argue the iron sand is stalemated, sure that’s fine. However, the metal needles, blades, and joints are not controlled by magnet release, so they’re getting taken and used against him.
@@SupaSoldierLegend he wouldn’t activate it because he didn’t have enough clay at that point in the series. He’s low on clay after capturing Gaara. I placed them in the same scenario Kakashi and Naruto were in. If it were the Deidara that fought Sasuke, maybe it would be a different story. However, this version of Deidara gets walked like a dog.

@@Liltaekwon i think seismic sense is better for that because she would have already known where the original was when the jutsu is cast, so she’s not getting thrown off visually. For example, if Naruto is standing 50 feet from her and then summons 100 clones, she still would know exactly where the real Naruto is because she’d be able to sense him, whereas anyone else would get thrown off by the amount of clones and lose track. Overall, well thought-out an articulated takes that are quite agreeable. It is hard to find fault in them when considering the context. I would be curious to hear about Team Avatar against Hebi Sasuke or Orochimaru, suicidal Deidara, and/or Fused Kisame as well, even if it is just a sentence or two on each in the next video. For gauntlets in general, it is also fun to consider how the team might succeed in fights they lose and continuing on from best-case scenarios/interpretations even if they are unlikely, after making the call.

I change my mind, THIS is the best video on your channel. Also, agreed on everything, the storytelling was actually peak, takes were massive dubs, and overall 10/10 video. If we're going off this storyline, then after Aang dies, it'll probably be Naruto who takes the MC role again. I'm already excited for the next video, these Avatar videos are so refreshing & overall amazing (best videos on your channel, and your other videos are also insanely good).

By far my biggest problem is the absolutely erroneous assumption that chakra and elemental nature jutsu is just overtaken by bending and chi, there is no reason to assume that whatsoever and going off energy reserves relatively speaking aside from Aang team avatar is completely outclasses in raw energy.
They have zero anti-feats when it comes to bending their elements. Your implied assertion that their bending prowess can be overpowered by the chakra control of a jutsu caster is equally, if not more so, erroneous
@@sageofthickcalves Does Aang need to already be in the Avatar state, his other lives could just take over when they all feel the raw emotional damage Aang is experiencing and I'm not sure what the delay on "your combined multiple lifetimes of souls" is.
If he does get hit by it you can argue a previous avatar could take control of his body due to the breaking of his spirit. At any time aang can submit to a previous life as they control his body through the avatar state. You can also argue this would catch Itachi off gaurd and without his susano up as he gets deleted by an attack from Roku or another previous avatar. This does not work with physical damage but emotional/spiritual attacks that leave aang’s body alive are fair game
The only argument I can think in favor of our favorite explosive artist is that his clay is infused with his chakra which can be considered life energy, so maybe that would make it more difficult to bend his clay. That’s the best I got.
Toph is literally blind. There is NO GENJUTSU. She can literally bend the metal kunai on his person. It’ll be similar to when kabuto blended the cave walls to kill Edo itachi. Amaterasu gets fire bended. Susanoo gets demolished by Toph she raises the ground or makes a pit in the earth where susanoo is stuck. Or ang levitates it into orbit where it can’t move. They have counter after counter. There is Zero chance he’s hitting Toph in genjutsu since she’s blind.

3 Cross-Verse bangers in a row! Sage has a great knowledge of source and expanded universe materials for both series, so it really feels great to watch these. I never really think about it, but bending really is just elemental judo, it takes less energy than ninjutsu and can use an opponent's strength (inferior or superior) against them. I'm here for Team Avatar vs The Pain Invasion btw.

I'm glad to be early to this one! I'm already looking forward to team Avatar fighting Pain. The whole squad vs the Six Paths would be pretty awesome and I think they should have Appa with them as well. Appa vs the Animal Path summons would be interesting
@@shadowpriest2574 They are not significantly bigger. Some are a bit bigger, yes, and probably a bit stronger. However, Appa is the GOAT of Team Avatar. Appa's got that dog in him. He'd definitely put up a good fight. That said, he needs the GAang to actually have a chance against the Animal Path Summons. A few of them anyways. Some, I think he clears solo at mid-high dif. The actual dog overwhelms him though. Sorry Appa. ;-;

I disagree, Appa is the size of a Bus at most, maybe a microbus, while the Animal Summons are the size of houses on the low end and some of them are even bigger than that. Remember that the Toad that Jiraya used against them was about the same size as Gamabunta who was about 2/3 the size of the 1 Tail and the 1 Tail was rly big. The animal Paths are rly big.

I don't think the salamander, crab, or dog when not fused are way bigger than him, but probably more relative in size. Plus, the sizes of the toads has been inconsistent throughout the series, which is dumb and the animal paths are no exception. I think the lower end to a middle ground is most consistent for their scaling size wise. That doesn't bring them much larger than Appa. That said, I do believe Appa clears the crab. That crab doesn't have any good combat feats that I know of. Correct me if I'm wrong on these. I might be missing things. I don't think the bird can beat Appa either. Appa's air bending should be able to counter it fairly well. I also don't see the bulls doing much against him either. Same thing as the crab for the salamander. I don't recall it having anything other than invisibility, which is useful for escaping Appa, but not so great when the GAang joins the Frey. Again, I think the dogs turns Appa into a chew toy eventually. That thing is busted.

However, there’s one *slight* thing I gotta disagree with: From what I know, the Akatsuki are capable of taking on Tailed Beasts - who are mountain level at *minimum.* So outside of Aang w/ the Avatar State, I’m not sure how anyone else on Team Avatar would match any of the Akatsuki in terms of AP/durability.
Yeah I think it’s a common misconception that every Akatsuki member must have mountain to continental AP because they can take down bijuu, but that’s not necessarily the case. Those scales go for the bijuu bombs, which scale above a bijuu’s natural durability. Almost nobody in the Akatsuki has bijuu bomb levels of AP
Also, if Kisame makes multiple water clones, Wouldn’t this make for Katara a 1 vs Multiple waterbenders battle, each one being able to launch Giant Water bombs, or at least multiple shark water bombs which would damage the integrity of whatever defense she might come up with.
@@zachariaravenheart, I also thought of that. Firstly, it's like a snowball effect. If she let's them continue popping up, they would become an ever greater threat, giving her less time to attend any one of them. Secondly, given water benders don't rip away another's bender water while they are molding it, I suspect the chakra that gives shape to the water clones gives the same anti-bending protection. Thirdly, there is always the main Kisame body, the Tailless Tailed beast, which can always make more clones with his near infinite chakra. I suspect Katara would be necessarily fighting multiple clones at once.
@@m.caeben2578 Well, Katara has affected another benders bending multiple times before and even overpowered other water benders before like with Hamma and her bloodbending. Also, the "infinite chakra" Kisame would have would come from him fighting more powerful opponents like with Bee. He also has never showed to spam water clones like Naruto does shadow clones, so it's not in character for him. Now, if he did use those clones, he could try to keep them at a distance and sneak attack Katara, but there is a good chance she would just sense where they are. It's a bad match up for him altogether. His only chance is getting in close.
In all honesty, team avatar isnt making it past Itachi and Kisame 30%. Katara is not fast enough to just turn Kisame's water to ice or an entire lake into ice. As a matternof fact she is not even fast enough to react to Ty Lee before being one shot, lol. If this were the avatar verse instead, Kisame would be a better water bender than Katara. Itachi, even at 30% AND sick is still too much with Aang, Zuko and especially Toph having no way of countering (of even knowing) about his genjutsu. Itachi and Kisame can also use shadow or water clones if all of team avatar face only one of them. Dont even get me started with the remaining members, Zetsu included.

Had some disagreements with previous videos, but overall could see where you're going. But I definitely believe the Akatsuki are a hard stop for Team Avatar. Just a little add on win con for the gang is blood bending. If any of these fights can be planned around a full moon it’s pretty much and instant win no eye contact necessary
Refreshing to see someone else who doesn't completely underestimate how strong Aang (And friends) really is/are. Aang isn't just some really powerful entity in his universe. He's effectively a God. That's what the Avatar is, functionally. A previous past life ripped out many megatons of lava from 4 volcanoes from what looked like at least a few miles away. *At the same time.*

Amataratsu is fire yes, but in my opinion zuko is not controlling that at all lol, "The flames are said to burn for seven days and seven nights, and cannot be extinguished with water or any other normal methods. However, it can be extinguished by the user's alternate eye." and with it being hotter than the sun logically team avatar would be turned into a dust pile in mere seconds before they can even come in contact with it as its the fire that BURNS other fire. i can see an argument that anng can bend it but he's dying as soon as it's casted as he has mid durability feats besides the earth bending defense which itachi could just totska blade (or however its spelled), now aang is out the way kisame is def beating the remaining with his blade alone, as he kept up with 5th-7th gate guy who is on par with the speed of kakashi if not above (lightning speed). also kisame has wind release and with aang dead at the point he can just use that to his advantage because nobody else could repel his attacks.
In the final matchup with against Kisami and Itachi I don't understand the logic of how Team Avatar split up. The scenario presents it as Zuko goes with Aang because he can fly up there but the team knows that they can't look Itachi in the eyes so it would make more sense for Toph to go with Aang against Itachi and have Zuko back up Katara. The fight as presented really leave Toph and Zuko sidelined in their respective fights but if they swapped they would have been more effective. Zuko could fly around the watery field providing air support while Toph would be able to fight to her full capacity against Itachi without needing to worry about the genjutsu. It feels like it was a poor decision so that Team Avatar would be nerfed to prevent Itachi from getting one-sidedly wrecked This was however a great video and I very much enjoyed it

I enjoyed the video and the discussion of ability match ups, but I have a decent amount of disagreements. You said yourself the Avatar speed scaling was a highball, so I won't talk about that, but I think the Akatsuki members are being downplayed too. Maybe not the lower members like Hidan, Deidara, and Kakuzu, but Itachi and even Sasori should be significantly faster than Team Avatar. Sasori in his puppet body blitzed Resolve Amped Sakura and almost blitzed Chiyo, both of whom were relative to his prior puppets, so if those are around Team Avatar level (and they absolutely should be considering the 3rd Kazekage is above the likes of Rasa and BoS Gaara and by extension Deidara), he should be blitzing anyone except possibly Avatar State Aang. And Itachi is close to Light Speed considering his Light Fang was LS and Tsukuyomi was LS/FTL in P1. His Totsuka Blade also blitzed Hydra Orochimaru so it's absolutely blitzing anyone on Team Avatar. That's not to mention the Akatsuki having far better AP/durability scaling than Team Avatar outside of AS Aang who may be Moon level. The others literally probably couldn't hurt anyone in the Akatsuki or be strong enough to repel their attacks considering Akatsuki members should range from like Island to Country level while calcs place non Avatars at like Town level at best, and would have to be support for AS Aang with their hax. Speaking of, the manipulation of metal on Akatsuki members is kinda iffy in my opinion when you're treating this like a gauntlet. If Itachi/Kisame experienced that in the first fight, they would probably abandon their metal items for facing Toph a second time. And speaking of Toph, Itachi could probably just neg her with Amaterasu since it's an aerial attack, and it should be fast enough to get past Zuko since it should be more than a blitz tier above the 3T user, with Ay needing to power up to V2 to dodge it when V1 Ay was relative in speed to Chidori Sasuke, and 3T Itachi is absolutely bare minimum Zuko level in speed if not far above. In general, I think the specific scaling of match ups was a bit glossed over, and it sort of just felt like stat equalized battles.

It was a fun video. Bending seems more stamina convenient that chakra and is highly effective against people who use elemental style ninjutsu. But ninjutsu can be used anywhere, even when the element isn't present. Overall, it seems bending is superior in elemental combat.
I love the vid! But in my headcanon benders can‘t overpower/bend chakra infused elements. Blocking - yes, maybe Redirect with their elements but not control.

@@Redoren966 nah you’d have to argue that he knows the specific wind style jutsu you want to use AND that Toph wouldn’t be able to react to it. Toph is able to react to bending attacks by the movement of the bender. Therefore, it’s reasonable to assume that she’d be able to sense is movement and then just block. Her hearing is also likely great enough to hear it coming
Some broken win cons for Team Avatar: *Katara has Blood Bending, although she wouldn't use it in character unless maybe if Aang's life is in danger or he is killed. I can see only Kisame, Konan and maybe the Preta Path being able to counter it. I think it wouldn't proc Obito's phasing ability because it's his own blood that is being bent, unless you want to argue Katara's "chakra" entering his body would. But he probably could still use Kamui to escape into the Kamuiland. *Since you're using feats and scaling from the comics and saying everyone is lightspeed and stuff, I think it's fair to assume Aang would be able to bend the air out of his opponent's lungs, although it would also be kinda out of character.
I love your videos but i just strongly feel that chakra infused elements (water, sand, fire, etc.) shouldn't be bendable by benders. Which would make some huge changes

I would love the team Avatar vs Pain I also have so tidbits for you Fused Kisame or no tailed beast mode is something you didn’t talk about I think tops is completely useless against that and I don’t know how well katara would do completely submerged and dealing with Kisames increased speed Also izanagi has nothing to do with sight it’s all sensation so I think all of team avatar could get trapped in it but the could breakout because the aren’t very bloodthirsty or proud Just some thinking points I honestly thought the akasuki would wash them I had no idea they scaled this high

Yeah, somehow I had a feeling Itachi would get one of them in the end just shocked it was Aang. I mean, he and his friends could win, but they would mainly have to wait until he died from his illness, which, sadly, I don't think none of them could stop his death. The only problem is Zetsu; I think after losing the first two members and The Akatsuki are smart, they would have known not to use metal around Toph, well mainly Itachi the others would have all still lost to her. I do wonder how they would have done with Pain/Nagato Konan and Obito. I don't think they could win all three being deadly, and Obito can't be hit, cause if I remember it took Kakashi also using his eye for Naruto and Guy to hit Obito. Poor Katara lost her brother and now her boyfriend.

I agree with these statements, but a) the speed amp is likely not a blitz tier amp and b) being island level wouldn’t really matter because my argument was that he’d get restrained after the hearts (which have significantly less durability that Kakuzu’s main body) are destroyed.

There are only a couple problems I have with this but overall great vid. #1 you said that the avatar state grants a speed boost but there's really no reason to think that as what the avatar state does is grants the experience of all past avatars and some ap, it easily could have just been that he overpowered and outskilled him. #2 avatar characters only react to the first slower traveling stroke of lighting, which BTW is about 2k times slower than light, and itachi and basicly all the akatsuki have lightspeed scaling but like you said that would be boring. Also avatar characters don't consistently fight at these high speeds, they can only react in short bursts at maximum effort, but Characters like Sasuke who copied Lee's weightless speed can consistently move at super sonic speeds which is a problem for avatar. #3 I never heard of avatar characters durability scaling anywhere near their bending, ozai was able to be help down by some rocks and iroh, one of the strongest characters in the series almost lost both his hands to a big rock being dropped on them, yet Sasuke in his first fight against narutowas being slammed into cliff sides so hard that it started breaking off chunks of rock, so there's still obviously a MASSIVE strength and durability difference between the strongest avatar benders and part 1 genin, let alone itachi who was strong enough to break Sasuke arm with his thumb. I'm not saying that the akatsuki stomp or even win, I'm just saying that it's probably more likely for some of them to win than you think it is.
I know sokka is a non bender but you need to have him in some. Like chunin exam he would be the strategist, survival experiment, trap making, master swordsman and boomerang distraction. He definitely worth his place
I think that if the avatar team is known. It should be no secret that toph can bend metal and therefore people could prepare accordingly. Especially by the time they get to Itachi

One small point that might not completely change the outcome of the Itachi fight Is that the Itachi they fight should be decently stronger than the one Sasuke fights Since the Itachi Sasuke fights was well- throwing the entire match and going easy on Sasuke so that Sasuke could win
30% Clones: Maybe Finger Point/Ephemeral can work on Toph. Don't know if that's a visual Jutsu that you need to see the activation of, or if it kinda just activates when he points whether you see the point or not. Regardless, there's 4 of them, and I doubt they're going to just stand there like the Naruto gang did. Itachi gets beat, and we don't need to talk about Kisame. Artist Duo: Toph: So I started bending... Zombie Duo: Hidan gets washed. Kakazu might take some effort, but they've got the elements and abilities to combat his. FP Kisame and Itachi: Kisame still uses water. Katara negs. He can't absorb anything because she bends existing water rather than using energy to Nature Change it into water. Itachi might get a W. Tsukuyomi acts fast, killing someone in fractions of fractions of fractions of seconds while they live a full life in their mind. It's an instant kill if Itachi wills it if anyone gets caught. Amaterasu is very special fire. It's questionable if Zuko or Aang could bend it. And regardless, it spawns at the focal point of the user's vision, requiring ridiculous levels of speed to evade, and that assumes the gang realizes what's going on in time enough to dodge it. I don't see them getting by Susano'o unless a Seismic Sense user realizes they can launch attacks from under the Susano'o. If presumably the Susano'o itself and not the Yata Mirror can tank Kirin, I don't see the gang being able to create a strong enough attack that could harm it that Itachi couldn't deal with before it becomes a problem. God & His Angel: All the Pains have rods made of some kind of metal in them that allow Nagato to control them. Toph's got this before they even get to become a real threat. Maybe some issues arise if this is like Jiraiya and only a few of them are present while the rest are hidden somewhere, waiting to sneak her. And what's Konan going to do? Without the prep of a sea of paper bombs. Masked Man/Tobi/Obito: Right Eye Kamui OP plz nerf. Yellow Mask Obito from the Nine Tails Attack could probably take them. Giving him the added experience of later versions and possibly the 6 Jinchuuriki Paths of Pain is just overkill. And I guess Zetsu is there.
What about Water Style: Water Fang? Wasn’t that attack stated to move at light speed? Kakashi was able to react to that so what are your thoughts on Team Avatar avoiding said attack? Do you believe that Jutsu is light speed? Great video Sage 💯

When you make team Avatar versus The pain invasion you can just say that Katara was able to heal Aang from his injuries and that's why he's alive for the pain invasion.
@sageofthickcalves you can say she used the water from the northern water tribe that she used to save aang from the brink of death, perhaps during the fight he gets hit by an almighty push that sends him flying into a rock on his scar that allows him to use the avatar state again thus making it make sense and more interesting
Does the Tsukoyomi even kill you? I get that it’s serious mental torture but I feel like Aang could like, zen his way through it using spiritual connections and past lives. Upon reading the Tsukuyomi wiki page, I’m convinced that the Tsukuyomi would not be a win condition for Itachi. Kisame goes down like you said. Itachi knows that Aang is the top priority so he targets Aang for the Tsukuyomi. The Wiki says that if he lands the Tsukuyomi, then it consumes so much chakra that he has to fall back and end the fight. The Tsukuyomi works by “destroying the spirit.” I’m convinced that Aang’s spiritual fortitude completely counters the Tsukuyomi and it could work in a variety of ways. He could have the past avatars share the anguish. He could zen out so much that the psych torture doesn’t work. Or he just gets crumpled by the Tsukuyomi and ends up in a coma. If the last scenario happens, the rest of team avatar can rescue Aang and blitz Itachi since he just drained his chakra. They take Aang back to the village and Tsunade heals Aang.
Yo this is solid, especially because when Aang learns energy bending the Lion Turtle says that you have to have an incorruptible spirit to bend another person’s energy. This means his spirit wouldn’t be able to be corrupted by Tsukuyomi
he kills his girlfriend with it so yes it can also Tsukuyomi doesn't destroy the spirit he can use it to make you go brain dead never said to effect the spirit ever

@@Reesemike I kind of hinted at this in my initial comment as a general idea of how I’d expect the abilities of play together but I didn’t get into deep specifics. Essentially, I think a last resort hard counter for Tsukoyomi if it can kill is that a past avatar takes one for the team and spiritually dies like in Korra season 2. I think Aang’s spiritually can be useful in a lot of ways and I think there’s a lot of room for interpretation. For example, Korra isn’t as spiritually inclined in Season 1. If we’re going the “zen route” as a counter then Aang could counter but Korra wouldn’t.
i'd think the argument people would make against aang being able to bend deidara's clay would have more to do with how characters in avatar use chakra to bend naturally occurring elements, whereas naruto characters predominantly conjure their elemental attacks in most cases pumped full of chakra, which is probably why gaara using any minerals apart from his dead mom infused sand is supposed to be both skill intensive yet niche in use apart from being in a literal dessert in naruto it'd be the question of whether every attempt to counteract jutsu with bending would be a constant tug of war or not more akin to aang and ozai's final clash, opposed to the usual bending battles seen in avatar where outside of the specific technique to redirect lightning... characters typically evade and intercept/counterattack with bending of the same types than reflect out right if there is no struggle, death battle's perspective on toph (albeit with her adult exp and worldwide sensory) just nuking gaara with his own sand armor is as simple as it gets, speed differences aside since blitzing a person who effectively has to press a button is a heralding task when the foes have any bit of relativity in that category at mid range - shame though the lore with kaguya kinda complicates what chakra even is anymore on top of the switch from kneading chakra to use to having a preset chakra reserve and back, i can only wonder if something else was being absorbed from sasuke during the chunin exams
@@sageofthickcalves it's less about being produced by chakra and more about chakra constantly running through the clay, it might as well be in a state of constant bending There’s a distinct difference between benders manipulating earth via chakra to launch at others and after it has been launched, and manipulating earth ninjutsu that is actively fueled with chakra to operate as boruto highlights a difference between sage fire, ninjutsu fire and real fire ignoring shenanigans where they have to fight back the force coming at them with their bending (like a weaker toph and katara bending mud) it's the main reason i bring up the sand armor, since the interpretation either gives someone like toph full dominion over another's active "bending" cross verse or has to actively try to slow attacks if she can't instantly box someone in place

toph manipulating sasori’s puppets is smart but that doesn’t mean she can control them better than sasori since puppets are his specialty. Just because the benders are able to use their opponent’s attacks doesn’t mean they know how to use them better than the ninjas. The same with kisame and katara. In fact kisame can actually breath underwater and if he and katara were both underwater he’d be fast enough to kill her before she could bend. And I’m sorry to say this but I feel that you’re trying to find ways to make team avatar win rather than doing a match up.
I agree with you for the most part except for the metal bending. It’s not that she could control his puppets. It’s that she could disable them just by messing with key components.
Toph doesn’t have to control the puppets because she can liquify the metal parts. Katara can also breathe underwater and has shown the ability to freeze enormous masses of water and still be able to move freely through it.

It is verse equalization, but the problem is that Katara doesn’t produce her own water. She uses the water that’s around her, so it wouldn’t be able to be absorbed. Even if you argue she’s using Kisame’s water, which is made of chakra and thus can be absorbed, his super shark bomb is just getting bent too. Like Katara isn’t known to fire massive blasts of water to match another water bender’s power. She’s more likely to redirect the water that they bend at her or turn it to ice. That’s what we see with Hama and the first water bending teacher she had, anyway.

Just like we'd have to assume the Preta path is able to absorb a Kamehameha even though it is made of Ki and not chakra. I see the bending (besides maybe fire) working like Gaara's Magnet Style. The element has to be infused with their energy in order to be bent. Otherwise you can't say it's equalized. So Kisame should be able to neutralize Katara's attacks (just like the Samehada can cut a Fireball Jutsu in half by absorbing the chakra, though not the flames). I agree that the Super Shark Bomb wouldn't be very practical, but Kisame can absorb chakra with Samehada and with physical contact. I find it hard to believe the man who survived having his chest ripped open by Bee, healed the wound in seconds with the chakra he absorbed from him, and was fine to keep fighting is going to lose to Katara. Kisame tanked a Hirudora and not long after that was still strong enough to break Yamato's Wood Style restraint with brute force alone. How isn't Taijutsu relevant here? Though I don't know what would happen if Kisame used the water bubble + fused form. Since you're using the comics, I have no idea what degree of control Katara would have over the water bubble. From what I remember from the show, she should be able to create a bubble of air so she wouldn't drown, but is she faster than Kisame underwater? Also, the giant water bubble passively drains a person's chakra. How long could Katara resist before fainting? No one in Team Avatar would have Biju levels of chakra besides Aang in the Avatar State. One possible win con for Katara that you didn't mention is Blood Bending. I can honestly see Kisame overpowering it because he is so strong*, but most Akatsuki members would be helpless against it. Does Konan still have blood when she turns her body into paper? Would bloodbending counter Obito's Kamui? But Katara wouldn't use Blood Bending in character, maybe only if Aang's life is in danger or if he dies. *Also, isn't it unfair to assume she could just bend the blood of her opponents with no possible counter play? I already said that I think we should assume one has to pour their energy into the element in order to bend it, so she would have to project her energy into her opponent's body to control it (kinda like a Genjutsu), in which case Kisame would have an easier time overpowering it because he could just absorb he energy with his skin. And maybe the Preta path would also be immune to it? But most other Akatsuki members wouldn't.
@@giannixx Yeah there’s definitely chakra in the water she’d be bending, but I don’t think it matters. She bends water that other benders are bending at her, and that’s influenced by the opponent’s chi. Also, bending is stated in canon to not work that way. It’s stated to be the user projecting their chi to connect with said element and manipulate it at will. So they’re not infusing their chi into it, but rather “holding” and controlling it with their chi. It’s more like specific telekineses than it is ninjutsu. Now, I do agree that Samehada should be able to neutralize any of the water sent at Kisame that’s made from Kisame’s chakra. However, if she were using real water, that wouldn’t be the case. Luckily for Kisame, she’s not lol. I mean she could straight up just rip the water out of the trees around her, though, and samehada wouldn’t be able to absorb that. The difference between the Bee fight and this one is that Bee is a close range fighter. Let’s be real, had Bee not charged in like that, Kisame stands ZERO chance there. So, Katara wouldn’t have that issue. As far as Kisame’s durability, he’s got great blunt force durability, but can still be stabbed or restrained by Katara’s ice shards. Taijutsu isn’t relevant here because Kisame would never get close enough for it to matter, and if he does, Katara defends easily with water bending. While the water dome is dope, although I’m fairly positive it draining chakra isn’t actually stated, here’s the big problem: we never see him use that outside of being amped by Gyuuki. We have no clue if that’s something he can replicate in his standard form or not. Even if he can, as you said, Katara can easily breathe under water and is able to topple ships by herself with ice bending. I have no doubt she can use it against him. I agree with blood bending being a win con, but only if she’s emotionally charged. The Konan point is super interesting though 🧐 Yeah the only counter to blood bending that we’ve seen is just overpowering it. So you could argue they could, but it’s uncertain.
The Yasaka Beeds should scale to an MS Sasuke’s Arrows In potency on a low end and EMS Sasuke’s Arrows on a High End. I wouldn’t say Aang would easily dodge them cause Sasuke’s Arrows are a blitz tier above his own speed and Yasaka beeds likely scale to this as well. They have the highest AP in his Arsenal. Lol depending on where you say Team Avatar scales I’d say they might wanna dodge it Not saying Aang would get hit but it would definitely be a dangerous attack😂🤣
@@sageofthickcalves As far as speed Sasuke in terms of movement speed was relative to Danzo and he was able to pretty much combat him however once he started shooting his Arrows Danzo had no choice but to sacrifice his Izanagi Eyes. Further evidence of this was when Kakashi and him briefly fought he was able to keep up with him in combat but when he used the arrow it was so fast that he couldn’t even move and straight up said that if he didn’t have Kamui he would’ve just died because although he could perceive it he couldn’t react. This is important because Sasuke wasn’t stated to surpass Itachi until he got EMS and when they fought together against Kabuto they did many combos together and one where the Yasaka needs and Susano Arrow were showed to be on par in speed. That’s why I said he wouldn’t easily dodge it since they’d both be a blitz tier above but I do think he’d be able to with airbending. As far as AP It should be at least relative to a KCM Naruto’s Giant Rasen Shuriken because them and killer Bee took down Planetary Devastation and prior to that point Itachi was portrayed as stronger than Naruto and considering Naruto’s relativity to Early EMS Sasuke I’d say they were at least about Equal. It’s also his Susanoo equivalent to Sasuke’s Arrow’s it should be his most destructive attack and Itatchi actually says it’s his strongest long range attack

Also Itachi is arguably faster than all of team avatar as he blitzed both Sasuke in part 2 and Kakashi in part 1 who are both lightning timers at that point plus he has jutsu that moves at lightspeed so if he is in water they are not reacting to that

Why wouldn't Itachi spawn behind Toph? Sure she has seismic sense, but could she move away fast enough, or bend fast enough to get Itachi before her head is gone or her neck is sliced open, especially if it's a complete surprise to suddenly feel someone right behind her? If Danzo is smart enough to try spawning behind Sasuke for a complete surprise, surely Itachi would do it to the one that just killed him, wouldn't he? Don't know if it would change the outcome of the fight though, since Katara would probably be blood lusted enough to use blood bending at this point, if she were able to do it. I'm thinking of this from the perspective of Aang vs Ozai. Ozai tries to surprise Aang, but since he has seismic sensing, he can see all around him. He can see Ozai start to move, start to accelerate. It's as if Ozai looks Aang dead in the eyes, smirks and looks maliciously, then rushes him down. Very telegraphed. Aang can see it coming, so he reacts accordingly, and is unsurprised. But do you think EOS Naruto and Sasuke are relative physically? Do you think being a perfect sage allows you to fight blind, like Kabuto displays against Itachi and Sasuke, and that Naruto should be just as good if not better with the additions of Kurama emotion sensing and both being amped with SOSP chakra? And we see how much it did for him when Sasuke teleports behind him. He reacts immediately, knowing Sasuke is behind him, but he can do anything to defend despite their physical relativity. He cannot move away physically, he cannot extend a Kurama chakra arm to block, he just gets slapped by Sasuke and sent flying. We see that when a sage user is higher physically, like with Madara and Tobirama, the sage user can defend against someone spawning on them. These feats aren't 1to1 with Toph, but surely you see where I'm coming from when trying to interpret her seismic sensing, right? I'm not trying to argue Itachi would get her with this attack. I've already accepted that in the scenario you've put them in, Itachi is exhausted, and since the scenario made them physically relative at the start, Toph might be a blitz tier above him now. I'm just trying to argue that you need to be a blitz tier above to defend against a surprise attack, and that spawning on someone basically always constitutes a surprise attack, unless the defender is used to fighting teleporters. So Toph can react to Itachi suddenly being behind her, but she needs to be a blitz tier above to defend herself from him in this situation. I also think this situation is more akin to offguarding rather than blitzing. In most situations, Toph is unsurpriseable. She can sense all around her all the time with her seismic sensing, and thus able to see attacks coming from miles away, in any direction. And I can accept that she can see things in the air as well, even if this is how Aang beat her, because she eventually is able to see the whole world in Korra, so her sensing obviously gets better. But I think Naruto is able to sense all around him, in any direction as well. But maybe I'm missing some comic feats that put seismic sensing way ahead of sage mode sensing. Maybe I'm giving sage mode too much credit, even though it lets users fight blind like Kabuto or Madara did or when Naruto blocks the chakra rod from Pain. Do you really think seismic sensing lets you react so much better than sage mode that it would defend against people that are physically relative to you spawning on you? Do you think sage mode sensing dulls your reaction time for some reason that it makes you lose the ability to defend yourself as effectively without sight, even though we see Madara and Kabuto fighting blind. I just want to see the feats that make you think this, since I don't know all her feats, or maybe why my reasoning is flawed.
Love the video. Only one thing bothers me tho. The way kakashi looked at kirin. Was as if he couldn’t react to it without his susanoo. Itachi being in the top 3 of Akatsuki means that the others would be slower and also be just below lightning timing. Idk how kakashi was as fast as kirin back in his Anbu days, but not in his later forms. It makes little sense

It does "just appear on them". The flames appear at the focal point of the user's vision. Unless you're moving at ridiculous speeds and can notice what's going on before the flames spawn, you're getting hit, and even if you can avoid the initial spawn, I'm pretty sure the flame track you until the user's vision is blocked.
Also, after the up close interaction of the clones, and the extra intel they would have gathered throughout Team Avatar’s fight, why would Itachi and Kisame know to leave their metal liabilities when engaging a battle with Toph present? Also, Itachi does not require massive chakra draining attacks to get opponents. He primarily works on misdirection and subtle attacks. For example, the water jets that almost got Kakashi in part one. The argument here is that they were unseen, and fast, it would be unlikely to be sufficiently quickly recognized by whomever is the target.
They wouldn’t know Toph was coming. So you’d have to argue that they discard the metal as soon as they see her, but by then it’s too late because she has a metal bending range of 3km.
@Sage of Thick Calves also aang wouldn't have just a stab wound if he was pierced he would immediately be sealed they wouldn't have time to reach him. Also a fully blind exhausted dying itachi used his full susano against sasuke and showed that he could use susano while jumping thtough the air. It's kind of been shown that some ms users can still use susano with blind eyes or even no eyes like madara.
If you're going to equalize the verses and give aang the ability to take away their ability to use chakra then the opposite should be true in regards to kisame vs benders. Kisame is known for absorbing and stealing chakra through numerous ways, he can even imbue jutsus with this trait like the water shark bomb. I believe you are vastly underestimating how quickly kisame can flood an area and how much water he can effortlessly produce, he should be able to invalidate toph rather quickly. Her bending metal that hes wearing is likely only to catch him off guard once and this is a character whos reacting to attacks approaching light speed so i don't see why he'd have an issue reacting to his head band being bent. Toph is at great risk of becoming a liability in this match up and kitara can't fight in water as well as kisame can, even if she can bend his water this hardly matters you ignore the entirety of his arsenal because kitara has the ability to combat his main ability. Hes still capable of using deception, making water clones that neither would have the ability of telling apart from the real one. Kisame literally has island level AP without samehada, i have serious doubts that kitara is just flat out countering everything without kisame coming up with a counter strategy, the entire appeal of naruto fights is the characters using their intellect to over come situation just like this.
Tldr; kisame should be able to invalidate toph and drain kitaras stamina and has multiple options for catching her unaware. Kitara and toph can't take direct hits from kisame but kisame is a physical beast. Sage seems to think that a character having a way to counter an ability completely invalidates the usage of the ability but that has no basis. Kunai, clones, water style and etc can still be used as diversionary tactics. You'd have to argue that team avatar is just able to react to everything even things out of their line of sight which is shown not to be the case in their own series.

I mean, Team Avatar goes after the duo, not the other way around. So you’d have to argue he takes all of the metal off once he knows they’re there. At that point, she’d be able to sense it unless he chucks it over 3km away lmao.

Great question. Katara is considered the strongest water bender in the world in Avatar by the time the comics roll around. That said, what does that mean without feats? Well, even in the animated series, she’s able to easily capsize warships with zero effort, stop thousands of rain drops simultaneously, and, in the comics, create massive ice structures to destroy boats. The reason I say that she hard counters Kisame is because if he creates a big body of water, she would be able to bend it to attack him directly. We see benders (Katara does this multiple times) bend elements that other benders are bending at them consistently. Since Chi and Chakra are equalized here, bending someone else’s water is the equivalent to controlling another shinobi’s jutsu. That’s why she’d be able to do that. Now, if Kisame opts to not do that, he’d be in a worse spot because she’d just pull water out of the foliage in the environment to use against him.
What i dont think you consider... is these akatsuki members are going for the kill... that makes a huge difference against a team youve set up with a restriction against killing..
@@sageofthickcalves I also see where you gave the team avatar prior Intel but none to the akatsuki members. For instance you used the same tricks from the first clone fight with itachi and kisame verses when they fight the real deal, by then they've already planned counters for the team and are no longer using anything metallic. For instance kisame would not use heavy based water attacks against Katara and would just go straight hands. Where Katara would proceed to swiftly die, relative speed doesn't save your from the skill gap and required durability to survive. Any water katara could carry with her would be useless. This is a problem for both Topher and katara as they have no hands, and kisame is a ninja so he's used to reacting to high level projectiles being thrown at him/traps. A good example of katara being useless against someone with minimal fighting skills is tylee, she got completely weaved with ease. Average ninja fighting skills >>>>> ty Lee. I heavily doubt they can bend amaterasu, amaterasu is stated to be an untamable fire as if it resists manipulation. Sasuke needed an entirely different mangeku sharigan special ability manipulate it. This is a fire that can burn fire it obviously doesn't make sense to say it's actually bendable fire.
This was awesome, but I do have a concern with the Itachi fight... After finishing off Aang, I feel like Itachi, being a tactical genius, would have the smarts to target Zuko next since Zuko was the only thing keeping Itachi from burning the rest of the gang with Amaterasu, which I think he'd be able to pull off.
Getting to Toph vs Sasori logic is the reason Screw Attacks video on Toph vs Gaara is so hated. Just because something is earth, doesnt mean Toph (or Katara, Zuko, etc) can simply bend it and end of story. Sasori and Gaara's sand is enfused with their chakra (power) and even if you grant Toph chakra, she wouldnt be able to just snatch Sasori's iron sand away from him, thats not how it works. Toph and Katara would also get perception blitzed real hard by any Akatsuki member, as would the others. As for Deidara, he would just repeat what he did against team guy and self detonate a clay clone; killing everyone.
Worst case scenario, Toph’s control over the iron sand would stalemate it. There’s no way to prove otherwise. But it wouldn’t matter because she can literally liquify all of the metal contraptions in his puppets. How are they getting perception blitzed when they’re scaled to relativistic?

However, the metal needles, blades, and joints are not controlled by magnet release, so they’re getting taken and used against him.

I placed them in the same scenario Kakashi and Naruto were in. If it were the Deidara that fought Sasuke, maybe it would be a different story. However, this version of Deidara gets walked like a dog.

@@Liltaekwon i think seismic sense is better for that because she would have already known where the original was when the jutsu is cast, so she’s not getting thrown off visually. For example, if Naruto is standing 50 feet from her and then summons 100 clones, she still would know exactly where the real Naruto is because she’d be able to sense him, whereas anyone else would get thrown off by the amount of clones and lose track.

I would be curious to hear about Team Avatar against Hebi Sasuke or Orochimaru, suicidal Deidara, and/or Fused Kisame as well, even if it is just a sentence or two on each in the next video. For gauntlets in general, it is also fun to consider how the team might succeed in fights they lose and continuing on from best-case scenarios/interpretations even if they are unlikely, after making the call.

By far my biggest problem is the absolutely erroneous assumption that chakra and elemental nature jutsu is just overtaken by bending and chi, there is no reason to assume that whatsoever and going off energy reserves relatively speaking aside from Aang team avatar is completely outclasses in raw energy.
They have zero anti-feats when it comes to bending their elements. Your implied assertion that their bending prowess can be overpowered by the chakra control of a jutsu caster is equally, if not more so, erroneous

If he does get hit by it you can argue a previous avatar could take control of his body due to the breaking of his spirit. At any time aang can submit to a previous life as they control his body through the avatar state. You can also argue this would catch Itachi off gaurd and without his susano up as he gets deleted by an attack from Roku or another previous avatar. This does not work with physical damage but emotional/spiritual attacks that leave aang’s body alive are fair game

The only argument I can think in favor of our favorite explosive artist is that his clay is infused with his chakra which can be considered life energy, so maybe that would make it more difficult to bend his clay.

Toph is literally blind. There is NO GENJUTSU. She can literally bend the metal kunai on his person. It’ll be similar to when kabuto blended the cave walls to kill Edo itachi. Amaterasu gets fire bended. Susanoo gets demolished by Toph she raises the ground or makes a pit in the earth where susanoo is stuck. Or ang levitates it into orbit where it can’t move. They have counter after counter. There is Zero chance he’s hitting Toph in genjutsu since she’s blind.

I never really think about it, but bending really is just elemental judo, it takes less energy than ninjutsu and can use an opponent's strength (inferior or superior) against them. I disagree, Appa is the size of a Bus at most, maybe a microbus, while the Animal Summons are the size of houses on the low end and some of them are even bigger than that. Remember that the Toad that Jiraya used against them was about the same size as Gamabunta who was about 2/3 the size of the 1 Tail and the 1 Tail was rly big. The animal Paths are rly big.
@@shadowpriest2574 Nah, Appa has carried like, 10 people (remembering off the top of me head) on his back and that's just on his saddle. He's definitely bigger than a bus. At least a bit bigger. I don't think the salamander, crab, or dog when not fused are way bigger than him, but probably more relative in size. Plus, the sizes of the toads has been inconsistent throughout the series, which is dumb and the animal paths are no exception. I think the lower end to a middle ground is most consistent for their scaling size wise. That doesn't bring them much larger than Appa.
That said, I do believe Appa clears the crab. That crab doesn't have any good combat feats that I know of. Correct me if I'm wrong on these. I might be missing things.
I don't think the bird can beat Appa either. Appa's air bending should be able to counter it fairly well. I also don't see the bulls doing much against him either. Same thing as the crab for the salamander. I don't recall it having anything other than invisibility, which is useful for escaping Appa, but not so great when the GAang joins the Frey.
Again, I think the dogs turns Appa into a chew toy eventually. That thing is busted.

From what I know, the Akatsuki are capable of taking on Tailed Beasts - who are mountain level at *minimum.* So outside of Aang w/ the Avatar State, I’m not sure how anyone else on Team Avatar would match any of the Akatsuki in terms of AP/durability.
Yeah I think it’s a common misconception that every Akatsuki member must have mountain to continental AP because they can take down bijuu, but that’s not necessarily the case. Those scales go for the bijuu bombs, which scale above a bijuu’s natural durability. Almost nobody in the Akatsuki has bijuu bomb levels of AP
Also, if Kisame makes multiple water clones, Wouldn’t this make for Katara a 1 vs Multiple waterbenders battle, each one being able to launch Giant Water bombs, or at least multiple shark water bombs which would damage the integrity of whatever defense she might come up with.
If they are water clones, she would bend them. They'd be too ineffective against her.

Firstly, it's like a snowball effect. If she let's them continue popping up, they would become an ever greater threat, giving her less time to attend any one of them. Secondly, given water benders don't rip away another's bender water while they are molding it, I suspect the chakra that gives shape to the water clones gives the same anti-bending protection. Thirdly, there is always the main Kisame body, the Tailless Tailed beast, which can always make more clones with his near infinite chakra.
I suspect Katara would be necessarily fighting multiple clones at once.
@@m.caeben2578 Well, Katara has affected another benders bending multiple times before and even overpowered other water benders before like with Hamma and her bloodbending. Also, the "infinite chakra" Kisame would have would come from him fighting more powerful opponents like with Bee. He also has never showed to spam water clones like Naruto does shadow clones, so it's not in character for him.
Now, if he did use those clones, he could try to keep them at a distance and sneak attack Katara, but there is a good chance she would just sense where they are. It's a bad match up for him altogether. His only chance is getting in close.

In all honesty, team avatar isnt making it past Itachi and Kisame 30%. Katara is not fast enough to just turn Kisame's water to ice or an entire lake into ice. As a matternof fact she is not even fast enough to react to Ty Lee before being one shot, lol. If this were the avatar verse instead, Kisame would be a better water bender than Katara.
Itachi, even at 30% AND sick is still too much with Aang, Zuko and especially Toph having no way of countering (of even knowing) about his genjutsu.
Itachi and Kisame can also use shadow or water clones if all of team avatar face only one of them.
Dont even get me started with the remaining members, Zetsu included.

Amataratsu is fire yes, but in my opinion zuko is not controlling that at all lol, "The flames are said to burn for seven days and seven nights, and cannot be extinguished with water or any other normal methods. However, it can be extinguished by the user's alternate eye." and with it being hotter than the sun logically team avatar would be turned into a dust pile in mere seconds before they can even come in contact with it as its the fire that BURNS other fire. i can see an argument that anng can bend it but he's dying as soon as it's casted as he has mid durability feats besides the earth bending defense which itachi could just totska blade (or however its spelled), now aang is out the way kisame is def beating the remaining with his blade alone, as he kept up with 5th-7th gate guy who is on par with the speed of kakashi if not above (lightning speed). also kisame has wind release and with aang dead at the point he can just use that to his advantage because nobody else could repel his attacks.
In the final matchup with against Kisami and Itachi I don't understand the logic of how Team Avatar split up. The scenario presents it as Zuko goes with Aang because he can fly up there but the team knows that they can't look Itachi in the eyes so it would make more sense for Toph to go with Aang against Itachi and have Zuko back up Katara. The fight as presented really leave Toph and Zuko sidelined in their respective fights but if they swapped they would have been more effective. Zuko could fly around the watery field providing air support while Toph would be able to fight to her full capacity against Itachi without needing to worry about the genjutsu.
It feels like it was a poor decision so that Team Avatar would be nerfed to prevent Itachi from getting one-sidedly wrecked

I enjoyed the video and the discussion of ability match ups, but I have a decent amount of disagreements. You said yourself the Avatar speed scaling was a highball, so I won't talk about that, but I think the Akatsuki members are being downplayed too. Maybe not the lower members like Hidan, Deidara, and Kakuzu, but Itachi and even Sasori should be significantly faster than Team Avatar. Sasori in his puppet body blitzed Resolve Amped Sakura and almost blitzed Chiyo, both of whom were relative to his prior puppets, so if those are around Team Avatar level (and they absolutely should be considering the 3rd Kazekage is above the likes of Rasa and BoS Gaara and by extension Deidara), he should be blitzing anyone except possibly Avatar State Aang. And Itachi is close to Light Speed considering his Light Fang was LS and Tsukuyomi was LS/FTL in P1. His Totsuka Blade also blitzed Hydra Orochimaru so it's absolutely blitzing anyone on Team Avatar. That's not to mention the Akatsuki having far better AP/durability scaling than Team Avatar outside of AS Aang who may be Moon level. The others literally probably couldn't hurt anyone in the Akatsuki or be strong enough to repel their attacks considering Akatsuki members should range from like Island to Country level while calcs place non Avatars at like Town level at best, and would have to be support for AS Aang with their hax.
Speaking of, the manipulation of metal on Akatsuki members is kinda iffy in my opinion when you're treating this like a gauntlet. If Itachi/Kisame experienced that in the first fight, they would probably abandon their metal items for facing Toph a second time. And speaking of Toph, Itachi could probably just neg her with Amaterasu since it's an aerial attack, and it should be fast enough to get past Zuko since it should be more than a blitz tier above the 3T user, with Ay needing to power up to V2 to dodge it when V1 Ay was relative in speed to Chidori Sasuke, and 3T Itachi is absolutely bare minimum Zuko level in speed if not far above. In general, I think the specific scaling of match ups was a bit glossed over, and it sort of just felt like stat equalized battles.

Bending seems more stamina convenient that chakra and is highly effective against people who use elemental style ninjutsu. But ninjutsu can be used anywhere, even when the element isn't present. Overall, it seems bending is superior in elemental combat.
I love the vid! But in my headcanon benders can‘t overpower/bend chakra infused elements. Blocking - yes, maybe Redirect with their elements but not control.

Toph is able to react to bending attacks by the movement of the bender. Therefore, it’s reasonable to assume that she’d be able to sense is movement and then just block. Some broken win cons for Team Avatar:
*Katara has Blood Bending, although she wouldn't use it in character unless maybe if Aang's life is in danger or he is killed. I can see only Kisame, Konan and maybe the Preta Path being able to counter it. I think it wouldn't proc Obito's phasing ability because it's his own blood that is being bent, unless you want to argue Katara's "chakra" entering his body would. But he probably could still use Kamui to escape into the Kamuiland.
*Since you're using feats and scaling from the comics and saying everyone is lightspeed and stuff, I think it's fair to assume Aang would be able to bend the air out of his opponent's lungs, although it would also be kinda out of character.

Yeah, somehow I had a feeling Itachi would get one of them in the end just shocked it was Aang. I mean, he and his friends could win, but they would mainly have to wait until he died from his illness, which, sadly, I don't think none of them could stop his death.
The only problem is Zetsu; I think after losing the first two members and The Akatsuki are smart, they would have known not to use metal around Toph, well mainly Itachi the others would have all still lost to her. I do wonder how they would have done with Pain/Nagato Konan and Obito.

I agree with these statements, but a) the speed amp is likely not a blitz tier amp and b) being island level wouldn’t really matter because my argument was that he’d get restrained after the hearts (which have significantly less durability that Kakuzu’s main body) are destroyed.

There are only a couple problems I have with this but overall great vid.
#1 you said that the avatar state grants a speed boost but there's really no reason to think that as what the avatar state does is grants the experience of all past avatars and some ap, it easily could have just been that he overpowered and outskilled him.
#2 avatar characters only react to the first slower traveling stroke of lighting, which BTW is about 2k times slower than light, and itachi and basicly all the akatsuki have lightspeed scaling but like you said that would be boring.
Also avatar characters don't consistently fight at these high speeds, they can only react in short bursts at maximum effort, but Characters like Sasuke who copied Lee's weightless speed can consistently move at super sonic speeds which is a problem for avatar.
#3 I never heard of avatar characters durability scaling anywhere near their bending, ozai was able to be help down by some rocks and iroh, one of the strongest characters in the series almost lost both his hands to a big rock being dropped on them, yet Sasuke in his first fight against narutowas being slammed into cliff sides so hard that it started breaking off chunks of rock, so there's still obviously a MASSIVE strength and durability difference between the strongest avatar benders and part 1 genin, let alone itachi who was strong enough to break Sasuke arm with his thumb.
I'm not saying that the akatsuki stomp or even win, I'm just saying that it's probably more likely for some of them to win than you think it is.
Experience in bending = stronger bending. We see Korra use avatar state to win an air scooter race (dumb I know, but unfortunately canon). We
I know sokka is a non bender but you need to have him in some. Like chunin exam he would be the strategist, survival experiment, trap making, master swordsman and boomerang distraction. He definitely worth his place

One small point that might not completely change the outcome of the Itachi fight
Is that the Itachi they fight should be decently stronger than the one Sasuke fights
Since the Itachi Sasuke fights was well- throwing the entire match and going easy on Sasuke so that Sasuke could win

Kisame still uses water. Katara negs. He can't absorb anything because she bends existing water rather than using energy to Nature Change it into water. Itachi might get a W. Tsukuyomi acts fast, killing someone in fractions of fractions of fractions of seconds while they live a full life in their mind. It's an instant kill if Itachi wills it if anyone gets caught. Amaterasu is very special fire. It's questionable if Zuko or Aang could bend it. And regardless, it spawns at the focal point of the user's vision, requiring ridiculous levels of speed to evade, and that assumes the gang realizes what's going on in time enough to dodge it. I don't see them getting by Susano'o unless a Seismic Sense user realizes they can launch attacks from under the Susano'o. If presumably the Susano'o itself and not the Yata Mirror can tank Kirin, I don't see the gang being able to create a strong enough attack that could harm it that Itachi couldn't deal with before it becomes a problem.

All the Pains have rods made of some kind of metal in them that allow Nagato to control them. Toph's got this before they even get to become a real threat. Maybe some issues arise if this is like Jiraiya and only a few of them are present while the rest are hidden somewhere, waiting to sneak her. And what's Konan going to do? Does the Tsukoyomi even kill you? I get that it’s serious mental torture but I feel like Aang could like, zen his way through it using spiritual connections and past lives.
Upon reading the Tsukuyomi wiki page, I’m convinced that the Tsukuyomi would not be a win condition for Itachi.
Kisame goes down like you said. Itachi knows that Aang is the top priority so he targets Aang for the Tsukuyomi. The Wiki says that if he lands the Tsukuyomi, then it consumes so much chakra that he has to fall back and end the fight.
The Tsukuyomi works by “destroying the spirit.” I’m convinced that Aang’s spiritual fortitude completely counters the Tsukuyomi and it could work in a variety of ways. He could have the past avatars share the anguish. He could zen out so much that the psych torture doesn’t work. Or he just gets crumpled by the Tsukuyomi and ends up in a coma. If the last scenario happens, the rest of team avatar can rescue Aang and blitz Itachi since he just drained his chakra. They take Aang back to the village and Tsunade heals Aang.
Yo this is solid, especially because when Aang learns energy bending the Lion Turtle says that you have to have an incorruptible spirit to bend another person’s energy. This means his spirit wouldn’t be able to be corrupted by Tsukuyomi
he kills his girlfriend with it so yes it can also Tsukuyomi doesn't destroy the spirit he can use it to make you go brain dead never said to effect the spirit ever

@@Reesemike I kind of hinted at this in my initial comment as a general idea of how I’d expect the abilities of play together but I didn’t get into deep specifics.
Essentially, I think a last resort hard counter for Tsukoyomi if it can kill is that a past avatar takes one for the team and spiritually dies like in Korra season 2. I think Aang’s spiritually can be useful in a lot of ways and I think there’s a lot of room for interpretation. For example, Korra isn’t as spiritually inclined in Season 1. If we’re going the “zen route” as a counter then Aang could counter but Korra wouldn’t.

i'd think the argument people would make against aang being able to bend deidara's clay would have more to do with how characters in avatar use chakra to bend naturally occurring elements, whereas naruto characters predominantly conjure their elemental attacks in most cases pumped full of chakra, which is probably why gaara using any minerals apart from his dead mom infused sand is supposed to be both skill intensive yet niche in use apart from being in a literal dessert in naruto
it'd be the question of whether every attempt to counteract jutsu with bending would be a constant tug of war or not more akin to aang and ozai's final clash, opposed to the usual bending battles seen in avatar where outside of the specific technique to redirect lightning... characters typically evade and intercept/counterattack with bending of the same types than reflect out right
if there is no struggle, death battle's perspective on toph (albeit with her adult exp and worldwide sensory) just nuking gaara with his own sand armor is as simple as it gets, speed differences aside since blitzing a person who effectively has to press a button is a heralding task when the foes have any bit of relativity in that category at mid range

There’s a distinct difference between benders manipulating earth via chakra to launch at others and after it has been launched, and manipulating earth ninjutsu that is actively fueled with chakra to operate as boruto highlights a difference between sage fire, ninjutsu fire and real fire
ignoring shenanigans where they have to fight back the force coming at them with their bending (like a weaker toph and katara bending mud)
it's the main reason i bring up the sand armor, since the interpretation either gives someone like toph full dominion over another's active "bending" cross verse or has to actively try to slow attacks if she can't instantly box someone in place

toph manipulating sasori’s puppets is smart but that doesn’t mean she can control them better than sasori since puppets are his specialty. Just because the benders are able to use their opponent’s attacks doesn’t mean they know how to use them better than the ninjas. The same with kisame and katara. In fact kisame can actually breath underwater and if he and katara were both underwater he’d be fast enough to kill her before she could bend. And I’m sorry to say this but I feel that you’re trying to find ways to make team avatar win rather than doing a match up.
I agree with you for the most part except for the metal bending. It’s not that she could control his puppets. It’s that she could disable them just by messing with key components.
Toph doesn’t have to control the puppets because she can liquify the metal parts.
Katara can also breathe underwater and has shown the ability to freeze enormous masses of water and still be able to move freely through it.

It is verse equalization, but the problem is that Katara doesn’t produce her own water. She uses the water that’s around her, so it wouldn’t be able to be absorbed. Even if you argue she’s using Kisame’s water, which is made of chakra and thus can be absorbed, his super shark bomb is just getting bent too. Like Katara isn’t known to fire massive blasts of water to match another water bender’s power. She’s more likely to redirect the water that they bend at her or turn it to ice. That’s what we see with Hama and the first water bending teacher she had, anyway.

@@sageofthickcalves Sure, but we have to assume there is "chakra" in the water Katara bends. Just like we'd have to assume the Preta path is able to absorb a Kamehameha even though it is made of Ki and not chakra. I see the bending (besides maybe fire) working like Gaara's Magnet Style. The element has to be infused with their energy in order to be bent. Otherwise you can't say it's equalized. So Kisame should be able to neutralize Katara's attacks (just like the Samehada can cut a Fireball Jutsu in half by absorbing the chakra, though not the flames).
I agree that the Super Shark Bomb wouldn't be very practical, but Kisame can absorb chakra with Samehada and with physical contact. I find it hard to believe the man who survived having his chest ripped open by Bee, healed the wound in seconds with the chakra he absorbed from him, and was fine to keep fighting is going to lose to Katara.
Kisame tanked a Hirudora and not long after that was still strong enough to break Yamato's Wood Style restraint with brute force alone. How isn't Taijutsu relevant here?
Though I don't know what would happen if Kisame used the water bubble + fused form. Since you're using the comics, I have no idea what degree of control Katara would have over the water bubble. From what I remember from the show, she should be able to create a bubble of air so she wouldn't drown, but is she faster than Kisame underwater? Also, the giant water bubble passively drains a person's chakra. How long could Katara resist before fainting? No one in Team Avatar would have Biju levels of chakra besides Aang in the Avatar State.
One possible win con for Katara that you didn't mention is Blood Bending. I can honestly see Kisame overpowering it because he is so strong*, but most Akatsuki members would be helpless against it. Does Konan still have blood when she turns her body into paper? Would bloodbending counter Obito's Kamui? But Katara wouldn't use Blood Bending in character, maybe only if Aang's life is in danger or if he dies.
*Also, isn't it unfair to assume she could just bend the blood of her opponents with no possible counter play? I already said that I think we should assume one has to pour their energy into the element in order to bend it, so she would have to project her energy into her opponent's body to control it (kinda like a Genjutsu), in which case Kisame would have an easier time overpowering it because he could just absorb he energy with his skin. And maybe the Preta path would also be immune to it? But most other Akatsuki members wouldn't.
@@giannixx Yeah there’s definitely chakra in the water she’d be bending, but I don’t think it matters. She bends water that other benders are bending at her, and that’s influenced by the opponent’s chi.
Also, bending is stated in canon to not work that way. It’s stated to be the user projecting their chi to connect with said element and manipulate it at will. So they’re not infusing their chi into it, but rather “holding” and controlling it with their chi. It’s more like specific telekineses than it is ninjutsu.
Now, I do agree that Samehada should be able to neutralize any of the water sent at Kisame that’s made from Kisame’s chakra. However, if she were using real water, that wouldn’t be the case. Luckily for Kisame, she’s not lol. I mean she could straight up just rip the water out of the trees around her, though, and samehada wouldn’t be able to absorb that.
The difference between the Bee fight and this one is that Bee is a close range fighter. Let’s be real, had Bee not charged in like that, Kisame stands ZERO chance there. So, Katara wouldn’t have that issue. As far as Kisame’s durability, he’s got great blunt force durability, but can still be stabbed or restrained by Katara’s ice shards.
Taijutsu isn’t relevant here because Kisame would never get close enough for it to matter, and if he does, Katara defends easily with water bending.
While the water dome is dope, although I’m fairly positive it draining chakra isn’t actually stated, here’s the big problem: we never see him use that outside of being amped by Gyuuki. We have no clue if that’s something he can replicate in his standard form or not. Even if he can, as you said, Katara can easily breathe under water and is able to topple ships by herself with ice bending. I have no doubt she can use it against him.
I agree with blood bending being a win con, but only if she’s emotionally charged. The Konan point is super interesting though 🧐
Yeah the only counter to blood bending that we’ve seen is just overpowering it. So you could argue they could, but it’s uncertain.

The Yasaka Beeds should scale to an MS Sasuke’s Arrows In potency on a low end and EMS Sasuke’s Arrows on a High End. I wouldn’t say Aang would easily dodge them cause Sasuke’s Arrows are a blitz tier above his own speed and Yasaka beeds likely scale to this as well. They have the highest AP in his Arsenal. Lol depending on where you say Team Avatar scales I’d say they might wanna dodge it Not saying Aang would get hit but it would definitely be a dangerous attack😂🤣

@@sageofthickcalves As far as speed Sasuke in terms of movement speed was relative to Danzo and he was able to pretty much combat him however once he started shooting his Arrows Danzo had no choice but to sacrifice his Izanagi Eyes. Further evidence of this was when Kakashi and him briefly fought he was able to keep up with him in combat but when he used the arrow it was so fast that he couldn’t even move and straight up said that if he didn’t have Kamui he would’ve just died because although he could perceive it he couldn’t react. This is important because Sasuke wasn’t stated to surpass Itachi until he got EMS and when they fought together against Kabuto they did many combos together and one where the Yasaka needs and Susano Arrow were showed to be on par in speed. That’s why I said he wouldn’t easily dodge it since they’d both be a blitz tier above but I do think he’d be able to with airbending. As far as AP It should be at least relative to a KCM Naruto’s Giant Rasen Shuriken because them and killer Bee took down Planetary Devastation and prior to that point Itachi was portrayed as stronger than Naruto and considering Naruto’s relativity to Early EMS Sasuke I’d say they were at least about Equal. It’s also his Susanoo equivalent to Sasuke’s Arrow’s it should be his most destructive attack and Itatchi actually says it’s his strongest long range attack

Also Itachi is arguably faster than all of team avatar as he blitzed both Sasuke in part 2 and Kakashi in part 1 who are both lightning timers at that point plus he has jutsu that moves at lightspeed so if he is in water they are not reacting to that

Why wouldn't Itachi spawn behind Toph? Sure she has seismic sense, but could she move away fast enough, or bend fast enough to get Itachi before her head is gone or her neck is sliced open, especially if it's a complete surprise to suddenly feel someone right behind her? If Danzo is smart enough to try spawning behind Sasuke for a complete surprise, surely Itachi would do it to the one that just killed him, wouldn't he? Don't know if it would change the outcome of the fight though, since Katara would probably be blood lusted enough to use blood bending at this point, if she were able to do it. But I think reaction + physical relativity shouldn't be enough to get away from a point-blank surprise attack. You need to be a level higher, which she might be since he's fatigued. I'm thinking of this from the perspective of Aang vs Ozai. Ozai tries to surprise Aang, but since he has seismic sensing, he can see all around him. He can see Ozai start to move, start to accelerate. It's as if Ozai looks Aang dead in the eyes, smirks and looks maliciously, then rushes him down. Very telegraphed. Aang can see it coming, so he reacts accordingly, and is unsurprised. But do you think EOS Naruto and Sasuke are relative physically? Do you think being a perfect sage allows you to fight blind, like Kabuto displays against Itachi and Sasuke, and that Naruto should be just as good if not better with the additions of Kurama emotion sensing and both being amped with SOSP chakra? And we see how much it did for him when Sasuke teleports behind him. He reacts immediately, knowing Sasuke is behind him, but he can do anything to defend despite their physical relativity. He cannot move away physically, he cannot extend a Kurama chakra arm to block, he just gets slapped by Sasuke and sent flying. We see that when a sage user is higher physically, like with Madara and Tobirama, the sage user can defend against someone spawning on them. These feats aren't 1to1 with Toph, but surely you see where I'm coming from when trying to interpret her seismic sensing, right?
I'm not trying to argue Itachi would get her with this attack. I've already accepted that in the scenario you've put them in, Itachi is exhausted, and since the scenario made them physically relative at the start, Toph might be a blitz tier above him now. I'm just trying to argue that you need to be a blitz tier above to defend against a surprise attack, and that spawning on someone basically always constitutes a surprise attack, unless the defender is used to fighting teleporters. So Toph can react to Itachi suddenly being behind her, but she needs to be a blitz tier above to defend herself from him in this situation. I also think this situation is more akin to offguarding rather than blitzing.
In most situations, Toph is unsurpriseable. She can sense all around her all the time with her seismic sensing, and thus able to see attacks coming from miles away, in any direction. And I can accept that she can see things in the air as well, even if this is how Aang beat her, because she eventually is able to see the whole world in Korra, so her sensing obviously gets better. But I think Naruto is able to sense all around him, in any direction as well. But maybe I'm missing some comic feats that put seismic sensing way ahead of sage mode sensing. Maybe I'm giving sage mode too much credit, even though it lets users fight blind like Kabuto or Madara did or when Naruto blocks the chakra rod from Pain.
Do you really think seismic sensing lets you react so much better than sage mode that it would defend against people that are physically relative to you spawning on you? Do you think sage mode sensing dulls your reaction time for some reason that it makes you lose the ability to defend yourself as effectively without sight, even though we see Madara and Kabuto fighting blind. I just want to see the feats that make you think this, since I don't know all her feats, or maybe why my reasoning is flawed.

Love the video. Only one thing bothers me tho. The way kakashi looked at kirin. Was as if he couldn’t react to it without his susanoo. Itachi being in the top 3 of Akatsuki means that the others would be slower and also be just below lightning timing. Idk how kakashi was as fast as kirin back in his Anbu days, but not in his later forms. It makes little sense
Kirin is light speed, not lightning speed. Zetsu thinks it’s lightning speed before it’s launched, but the databooks say it’s light speed.
Before watching, interested in seeing how you handle Pain. Will it be a Jiriya situation where individual paths attack until the end or a leaf village situation where it is all paths at once.

It does "just appear on them". The flames appear at the focal point of the user's vision. Unless you're moving at ridiculous speeds and can notice what's going on before the flames spawn, you're getting hit, and even if you can avoid the initial spawn, I'm pretty sure the flame track you until the user's vision is blocked.

Also, after the up close interaction of the clones, and the extra intel they would have gathered throughout Team Avatar’s fight, why would Itachi and Kisame know to leave their metal liabilities when engaging a battle with Toph present?
Also, Itachi does not require massive chakra draining attacks to get opponents. He primarily works on misdirection and subtle attacks.
For example, the water jets that almost got Kakashi in part one. The argument here is that they were unseen, and fast, it would be unlikely to be sufficiently quickly recognized by whomever is the target.
They wouldn’t know Toph was coming. So you’d have to argue that they discard the metal as soon as they see her, but by then it’s too late because she has a metal bending range of 3km.

they wouldn't have time to reach him. Also a fully blind exhausted dying itachi used his full susano against sasuke
and showed that he could use susano while jumping thtough the air. It's kind of been shown that some ms users can still use
susano with blind eyes or even no eyes like madara.

If you're going to equalize the verses and give aang the ability to take away their ability to use chakra then the opposite should be true in regards to kisame vs benders. Kisame is known for absorbing and stealing chakra through numerous ways, he can even imbue jutsus with this trait like the water shark bomb. I believe you are vastly underestimating how quickly kisame can flood an area and how much water he can effortlessly produce, he should be able to invalidate toph rather quickly. Her bending metal that hes wearing is likely only to catch him off guard once and this is a character whos reacting to attacks approaching light speed so i don't see why he'd have an issue reacting to his head band being bent. Toph is at great risk of becoming a liability in this match up and kitara can't fight in water as well as kisame can, even if she can bend his water this hardly matters you ignore the entirety of his arsenal because kitara has the ability to combat his main ability. Hes still capable of using deception, making water clones that neither would have the ability of telling apart from the real one. Kisame literally has island level AP without samehada, i have serious doubts that kitara is just flat out countering everything without kisame coming up with a counter strategy, the entire appeal of naruto fights is the characters using their intellect to over come situation just like this.
Tldr; kisame should be able to invalidate toph and drain kitaras stamina and has multiple options for catching her unaware. Kitara and toph can't take direct hits from kisame but kisame is a physical beast. Sage seems to think that a character having a way to counter an ability completely invalidates the usage of the ability but that has no basis. Kunai, clones, water style and etc can still be used as diversionary tactics. You'd have to argue that team avatar is just able to react to everything even things out of their line of sight which is shown not to be the case in their own series.

I mean, Team Avatar goes after the duo, not the other way around. So you’d have to argue he takes all of the metal off once he knows they’re there. At that point, she’d be able to sense it unless he chucks it over 3km away lmao.
I think we need an explanation on how katara is superior to kisame to the point where he can’t use water. Why is katara automatically being deemed the stronger for water control even when the water in question was created and manipulated by kisame’s chakra?
Great question. Katara is considered the strongest water bender in the world in Avatar by the time the comics roll around. That said, what does that mean without feats? Well, even in the animated series, she’s able to easily capsize warships with zero effort, stop thousands of rain drops simultaneously, and, in the comics, create massive ice structures to destroy boats. The reason I say that she hard counters Kisame is because if he creates a big body of water, she would be able to bend it to attack him directly. We see benders (Katara does this multiple times) bend elements that other benders are bending at them consistently. Since Chi and Chakra are equalized here, bending someone else’s water is the equivalent to controlling another shinobi’s jutsu. That’s why she’d be able to do that. Now, if Kisame opts to not do that, he’d be in a worse spot because she’d just pull water out of the foliage in the environment to use against him.
What i dont think you consider... is these akatsuki members are going for the kill... that makes a huge difference against a team youve set up with a restriction against killing..
I agree with that. That’s why it’s close in a lot of these. If Toph was going for the kill in any of these scenarios the Akatsuki would be screwed.

For instance you used the same tricks from the first clone fight with itachi and kisame verses when they fight the real deal, by then they've already planned counters for the team and are no longer using anything metallic. For instance kisame would not use heavy based water attacks against Katara and would just go straight hands. Where Katara would proceed to swiftly die, relative speed doesn't save your from the skill gap and required durability to survive. Any water katara could carry with her would be useless. This is a problem for both Topher and katara as they have no hands, and kisame is a ninja so he's used to reacting to high level projectiles being thrown at him/traps. A good example of katara being useless against someone with minimal fighting skills is tylee, she got completely weaved with ease. Average ninja fighting skills >>>>> ty Lee.
I heavily doubt they can bend amaterasu, amaterasu is stated to be an untamable fire as if it resists manipulation. Sasuke needed an entirely different mangeku sharigan special ability manipulate it. This is a fire that can burn fire it obviously doesn't make sense to say it's actually bendable fire.

This was awesome, but I do have a concern with the Itachi fight... After finishing off Aang, I feel like Itachi, being a tactical genius, would have the smarts to target Zuko next since Zuko was the only thing keeping Itachi from burning the rest of the gang with Amaterasu, which I think he'd be able to pull off.
Getting to Toph vs Sasori logic is the reason Screw Attacks video on Toph vs Gaara is so hated. Just because something is earth, doesnt mean Toph (or Katara, Zuko, etc) can simply bend it and end of story. Sasori and Gaara's sand is enfused with their chakra (power) and even if you grant Toph chakra, she wouldnt be able to just snatch Sasori's iron sand away from him, thats not how it works.
Toph and Katara would also get perception blitzed real hard by any Akatsuki member, as would the others. As for Deidara, he would just repeat what he did against team guy and self detonate a clay clone; killing everyone.
Worst case scenario, Toph’s control over the iron sand would stalemate it. There’s no way to prove otherwise. But it wouldn’t matter because she can literally liquify all of the metal contraptions in his puppets.
