Great series! Hope you play other mods on this game for more series. Fall of the Republic is another good mod by the same team. Awakening of the Rebellion is an incredible overhaul mod for the base game.
Very enjoyable series! I like reliving, vicariously, my glory days as the Ultimate Commander in my EAW days! 😝 This mod looks like a lot of fun and I’m tempted to get another PC so that I can load EAW back up and play again. Next to KOTOR, this was my all-time favorite Star Wars game! I liked it better than the Battlefronts. I always told friends that it was my version of Solitaire. In regard to your musings about seeing Empire Strikes Back at the theaters when it first came out, yes…it was life changing, that’s how good it was! A New Hope even moreso! I was the right age for it too, between 7-10 years old so Star Wars became my lifelong love. I can’t tell you how surprised I am that 45 years on I’m STILL getting to look forward to great Star Wars content (even the sequels in spots). I can’t wait for the Obi-Wan Kenobi miniseries! Yes, more EAWs!
One thing I always disliked a bit about the galactic conquest in Empire at war is, that instead of it being small skirmishes around the galaxy with ever changing ownership of systems, it boils down to huge fleets steamrolling the hyperspace lanes and just fighting one space station after another, until you eventually encounter the enemy steamroller fleet.
I enjoyed that you played Empire at War would very like if you check out the AOTR mod someday. Even ground combat is fun in that mod and space combat could reworked recently. There is nothing like it.
im currently playing as the Empire of the hand, i kind wish they had SSD's like the executor or Sovereign, yesterday i killed an Executor, today i hope to take a few more away from the A.I. I'm kinda scared of the sovereign, just knowing what it can do, i haven't ran into it yet, i hope i don't.

I played TR years ago. I just use Isard's SSD to just destroy all the enemy space forces then have ground forces occupy enemy planets

Really RPing as the empire. Focusing on your military and totally ignoring your economy. You have to build factories in EAWX mods.

if you get it, get it on steam as that is the only version that works properly with mods. Also it goes on sale often for really cheap.
