I totally agree how do they make incinerate from bad to even shit … what they should had improve was the cast speed and instead of pushing enemy away out a stagger on it .. and leave everything the way it is.
That sounds very good, don't make it as fast as it now, but a little faster with a stagger on first hit would be amazing even for heavy on points now that 300 str doesn't have permanent grit
Try play firestaff with light armor and try with medium. Try bow play with light armor and try with medium. Then you will get answer is bow or firestaff more op right now.

I ain't even upset that the FS is overtuned next patch. Without ME you can still outplay the weapon with any class in the game. This is strictly a better meta then the ME meta for OPR and wars.
Have u thought / calculated crit stacking in ptr? Like getting keen vicious pillar fs, crit ring, 50 dex, all in crit / crit dmg. Did some quick math and keen wasnt even that bad compared to attunement, + it works with aoe and procs more smolder. Effective crit % is going down unless u run 0 crit perks atm.
FS is absolutely broken in PTR. You say it only really feels broken if an enemy has a playstyle of sitting back and left clicking from a distance. Well that's basically what any range player has been doing for months but now its basically impossible to miss with Flare splash and applies DOT stacks. And if a melee player is lucky enough to get through all the left click spam they will be greeted by flamethrower/pillar of fire spam (also very hard to miss with) and the new Heat Up passive that applies DOT just for dodging. And if they are still alive after all that they are going to get taken out back and blasted by the BB like they are Old Yeller. BB OP burst damage is a whole other story

It's the more about the means and mechanics of acquiring the damage. Musket for example - which you mention, was overpowered. People don't realize however, that it was less about the damage and more about 0 counter-play and mortal empowerment. Being damaged without an option to fight back is op, which is why it's such a taboo weapon. The new mechanics make fire staff VERY strong - although certain aspects are now different or "weaker"-that being said, the thing that SPECIFICALLY makes it overpowered for me is the heavy attack. The aoe heavy attack is ridiculous and needs to be reverted. It's basically explosive arrow for an auto attack. You just shoot it at their feet instead of the body so when they see it coming and dodge, it splashes at their feet. Also, You can just follow up with pillar and other aoe - so that as they dodged they roll right out into their doom. The heavy attack change is op-simple as that. It pushes everything else over the top. I think they should keep all the changes but remove the Explosive Shot auto attack.
They patched PTR yesterday to make heavy attack flare significantly slower. At close range the 1m burst is still useable of course but from med to long ranges you're going to need to catch someone completely off guard to hit them with a heavy.

Greatsword is sooo ridicilous op, after small nerfs it is still ridiculous op. Same as Bow cancer/bowpr is not stopped, bow is just stuuuuuupid op. Range in general is ridicilous op in NewWorld, this stupid ultrahigh range is unthinkable for all other mmos,ranged never was that extreme op in any mmo. Firestaff now becomes ridicilous op. Resilient remains stuuupid op(but crits get nerfed😅😢👎). SNS is nerfed waaaay to hard(was it that imba?-no) Ags are extreme stupid in doing balance, it is rly hopeless. Pvp is ignored by ags, thats why there is no pvp content and such an extreme bad balance. Thats why there is a mass exodus and thats why rip.

Nah don't worry, fire staff has 25% crit dmg, and 12% from vic it takes it to 37% crit dmg.

You could. I bet it would be fun as hell, but we already have 20% crit chance from weapon and skill tree so we can use vic all the time.

Both are good, and both got nerfed, but still, those 2 are our main choices. But it really depends on your playstyle and how bad will bb be nerfed.

They made all mage abilities fking worthless. Why will I aim for abilities to do the same damage than heavy attacks? I feel melees are much better
