What a brilliant summer Road trip. I think the second half of the journey definitely rated a ten out of ten for scenery. (going to find it hard to better this.) great videoing by the way. 👍
I enjoyed these 4 videos of your take on Bavaria as I have toured there several times over the last 15 years. Mainly it has been my route to Austria, Italy, Slovenia and Croatia but I definitely fell in love with Bavaria itself and all the lovely old towns that we stayed in on route. Ride safe.
Thanks Mike, glad you enjoyed the videos & hopefully they brought back some memories of that beautiful area. The 2nd part was definitely better for me as it got up into the hillier meadows, skiing towns & over a part of the Alps. I'm really keen to ride another route/ section of the Alps from a book I have. A bucket list trip! U may have done it by the sound of it in your travels over the last 15 years. I may possibly do it next year but you never know, if the weather's good, I'll be out there 👍. Thanks for watching & commenting, Daz.
It's a shame you had to jump on the Autobahn to get around the roadworks as the rest of the run through to B'gaden was certainly the best stretch of the road, was a regular run for me back in the day from Unterwossen on my old XT500, also sking on Winklemoos (few km's from Reit im Winkl) over into Steinplatte in Austria, spent some years also working in B'gaden, Konigsse a favourie day out..... great memories watching this, thanks for sharing, really enjoyed it while putting a smile on my kipper..
Hi Dabdabber, thats great I'm pleased it brought some good memories back for you. Yes having to go one junction on the Autobahn kind of took the crescendo out of the last part of the ride. And now you've told me it's the best stretch of the road I'm even more gutted now lol. Guess I'll just have to go back 😁. Certainly a stunning part of the world, I envy you for spending some time down there. Thanks for watching & commenting, ride safe, Daz 🙏 👍
Cheers Troopz, appreciate that. Yes my first time riding my own bike into Europe actually. Hopefully more ventures ahead, fingers crossed. Thanks for watching & commenting. 👍
The route was taken from the great book 'Great Motorcycle Tours of Europe' by Colette Coleman. Her version encompasses 'The Romantic Road' & the 'Alpine Road'. Some great rides in the book, I fully recommend a look!
The book I used was 'Great Motorcycle Tours of Europe' by Colette Coleman. The route started from Wurzburg to Berchtesgaden. I guess you could start from Rothenburg ob der Tauber to enjoy more of the roads after that. Rothenburg is a stunning walled city.

The only other time of year I'd liked to have gone is October for the Octoberfest, but alas not good to drink & ride! Thank's Ali
Thanks Daz, great finish to the series. Look forward to your future content.
