Glad I clicked on the video. Almost skipped it as I’m not into shopping videos. The info you shared about entropy was so interesting, glad I gave it a look. More science!!
The plant that you were confused about was the a philodendron Bob cee!! They’re so beautiful! I really want one! Love your channel! Keep on planting! 😊
Your store has so much more than mine does! The downside of small-town living. 😂 That ficus moonshine would have been coming home with me. I guess it's good that my store is limited, so I can save money more easily. 😅
Love that outlook ☺️💜 It’s funny because most shopping things are harder for me to find out here in Temecula compared to San Francisco (I miss all the fun boutiques and trendy stores within walking distance) but the plants are so much better! So yes I save money on not buying expensive food items and random cute objects but then I make up for it with tons of plants haha 😅 that ficus was really a beauty 💜💜 hope you’re having a lovely week 😊🌿
I love your channel, I just donated all but 2 of the last of my plant collection (at its peak there were more than 30) to my school’s horticulture classes. It was so hard, but I didn’t think they would make it through another exam season and they were just becoming a lot to take care of with how busy I was with my education. I also love how your husband is always so happy to help and content to see you happy with your hobby. Speaking as a man, but also a person in general, it feels like there’s an overwhelming number of complete and utter dickheads out there so it’s always nice to see a good one for a change. Also, thank you for keeping people’s privacy, I always find it so weird when people video strangers and upload it on the internet without their permission, especially children.
Wow thanks for the tip!!!🤩 I need to go check out Trader Joe’s more often! I also need to re up on some good interesting snacks too hehe so I will head over there soon, thanks for the reminder 😊💜✨🌿
The small spots clear up when you spray them down with Copper Fungicide. It won’t clear up the leaves with the spots but new growth won’t have them. You normally only need to treat once with the fungicide. The Ring of Fire, Tiger Tooth, etc are known for having this issue.
yeah my congo red and ring of fire both had spots when i got them but a quick wipe with fungicide while the leaf is still rolled up has cleared it all up :)
The plants that looks sickly are most likely new plants to that box store that haven't been acclimated. That's what happens to the new plants that I get, especially the big ones they have those spots and a few leaves might fall off but after a week or two it becomes acclimated to my home and they start growing new leaves
Just a fyi for anyone seeing these dots on nerrow philos. 100% of the time I start seeing those, within a few weeks I find thrips. Thrips love nerrow philos. Maybe when they get really big it will just be nectories, but right now my younger plants only get that when thrips are their, just not seen yet. :/
Is that root rot on that Kathleen? Oh a disease! Makes sense, a lot of my big leaved philos get lil yellow dots all over the leaves, I’ve treated with a fungicide and bacterial spray just in case, the leaves don’t die, the spots stay though Omgosh small pineapple plants are almost 50$ here in Canada! I would absolutely snub my nose at those white princesses for 30$ my white wizard was 12$ smaller, sure, but the pure amount of variegation is incredible. No variegation for 30$?! No thanks
I love the way you teach us how to be informed plant shoppers in these videos instead of just showing the plants. Thanks for the great content! 👍🌿

Your way of explaining the damage/normal spots vs disease spots is the best explanation and makes the most sense to me that I’ve heard!! Thank you!!
Agreed!
the knowledge that you possess about plants is incredible, I appreciate you always sharing that with us. I wish I could retain information like you do
So many lessons in this video today. and I'm only half way through it. So grateful. Thank you girl!

You made a great find in that mini Phal, it was peloric.
P. Narrow is the queen of efn. I’ve never seen anything like it. If I don’t rinse mine occasionally, it gets so much it builds up into crystals
Have you seen the Florida ghost at stater brothers? I bought one a couple of weeks ago.
Oh my gosh no I haven’t!! Now I need to find one thanks for the tip!!🤩💜✨🌿💓
I live in Orange County, you can find big philos like the one you returned at Trader Joe’s. Pretty healthy from what I have seen, and under $20
Wow thanks for the tip!!!🤩 I need to go check out Trader Joe’s more often! I also need to re up on some good interesting snacks too hehe so I will head over there soon, thanks for the reminder 😊💜✨🌿

Yessss birthday season!! 🥳💜 Do you have any special plans? I’m gonna go to one my favorite Korean restaurants in LA and I’m so excited hehe
philodendrons having a spot breakout when they're stressed is so... relatable?
24:50 Damn right in the middle of the store? Take him home first at least. 😂

That Home Depot carries a lot of great plants 😀🇨🇦

Probably fungal... just cut off affected leaves and it would probably be fine
