How can we possibly find a stylist in our local areas like you - soo hard to find someone like you with soooo much talent knowledge skill expertise and partners with the client! You are awesome! Love you and your videos!
Thank you for making amazing videos. I love to learn new techniques! 23 years in the industry and I watch at least one video a day. You are my favorite!
Hi. I went to a new stylist last week for a layered bob but she only layered the front. I have very fine blonde hair and have no idea how to style it. I've taken a picture of your cut to show her as I'm not happy and she is going to fix it up free of charge. Thanks for this tutorial ❤
@StylesBySummer Would I offend my hairstylist by showing your mannequin cut as the inspo cut I want? Your cut just looks so much better than models/real people! I want that mannequins haircut on me!!!
You’re one of my favourite teachers Summer ! Always explain steps, technique and consults clearly ✅. Many valuable tips in this video.🏆. Thanks a million from Australia ❗️👍✂️👌
@@StylesBySummer I always enjoy your tutorials as they are different and creative, as I do like to experiment new things. Your videos keep me on point.
Love every tutorial I’ve watched from you!! Thank you for sharing your knowledge!! I have a question not about hair… your dress is so adorable!! Where is from? (If you don’t mind sharing 😁)
You are great. If you know anyone In Maryland,Virginia and DC please let me know I have changed so many hairdressers still not happy. Please show a video how to cut my hair like you did.
I’ve been trying to get this hair cut in years, believe me. No one could get a little close to that and the worst part is I always have to wait 6 months ish to my hair grow to try again.
I just lost my Stylist due to her retirement. I wish you were local to me as I love your styles. I don't know how to find a good stylist here in Fort Myers. FL.
I love your videos, they so informative, thank you for all you do to teach. But...at the moment I am focused on those earrings, they are so cute!!! Do you have a link to purchase?
I also am going "baldish" in the front on the sides, how should I part my hair? It wants to naturally part on the right buuut that side is the thinnest. I've always had long hair but a couple of years ago I had to cut it because of an on the job injury with my right arm it got cut way to short because I didn't know what to tell the stylist what I wanted because I didn't know what would look good with my face. Anyways it grew out a little bit still short and I just went back in and I had a better idea of what I wanted which is this hair cute but with it a little longer in the front, so we are working towards that but it's still a little too short in the front but I have no idea how to style it and how everyone gets those amazing waves. I've tried but I just can't figure out how to do it. My hair is already thin but after a year of surgeries and fighting cancer it's just so much thinner and I don't know how to fix it. When it was long I always did ponytails and messy buns. I'm 47 and trying to learn how to style hair lol.
I have that too, mines just naturally thin in that area. I brush it forwards and up from behind the ear when I blow dry it and then I add a bit of dry shampoo or volumizing powder to the roots behind and above my ears. It helps quite a bit 🙂
I wish I have so much hair like your Hairdoll😂 I have fine and thin hair and grow up to a bob. But my upper head have very thin hair and in the back it is more bulky.
I just cut my own hair following your steps and now I got the hair exactly the way I wanted and never could get in many different saloons I’ve been. Well, I just wanted say thank you 🤍 my hair is beautiful now 🤍
@@StylesBySummer you are very dedicated to your work..and plz let me allow to say that you too are very beautiful summer as your job. ..god bless you dear. ..
I wish you were in Ky. I’m 56 and my hair is just past bra strap and I’m ready to let it go. My hair is fine and it looks so scraggly. I wish I hadn’t gotten bangs at my last trim appointment. They were past my chin and would be perfect for this haircut. I’m so ready for a change. If you have any recommendations for someone in Ky I’d love to pay them a visit. I’m nervous about the drastic change and I really like how you are precisely attentive to detail. ❤
This is great, Summer. Love the cut. Is there a way to do this cut in a longer version? My hair is long (goes down to my mid back) and I want to keep most of the length but also love the long bob look. Basically how long can a long bob be? TIA.
Can I ask you a favour please I still struggle a lot in curling the hair the way you did it now can you or do you have any video about this topic Would be so kind of you if you do so please Love you so much xoxo
Genuine question- the freehand layers look great, but how do you maintain that if keeping the style over months/years? Is it like a once and done deal? The consecutive cuts are just to maintain the length?
I wish I lived in your area, so you could cut my hair. 😀 I cannot seem to find a stylist that understands my hair. Always wants to go to the " generic" cutting style.
OMG, I Love this cut!! Can you come to Wisconsin and cut mine? Lol, Lol!!! I cut my own hair, but mine is Super thick, and course. My hair is on the shorter side, (growing out from a pixie) so please wish me lots of luck! 🤨😉
It seems like you're taking out all the bulk at the nape area. If I did that to my fine hair, I would loose the line of the entire cut...this mannequin has course thick hair so it works for that type of hair.....before you started cutting into that bulk, the profile was beautiful with the slight stack that you created. Do you recommend slicing (at an angle) into the entire the head like that on baby fine thin hair ? It seems like with baby fine hair, you have to know when to stop cutting or before you know it, you've completely cut a different cut than the original plan..lol
The point cutting helps to soften the hair and remove some bulk without removing as much weight as thinning shears or layers. And yes it will help add some texture.
Hi! I have a question abt your shears-I noticed that your middle finger looks like you have a ring guard on it too….I ordered a pair of these shears yesterday from Shark Fin (I used your code too btw, thank you!). My question is did you have those custom made for you, or will I be able to do that to my shears as well? I ordered the swivel….if that helps!
@@StylesBySummer AWESOME! I can’t wait to get mine! Thank you too btw, for your videos, Summer. I’m abt half way through CosmetologySchool, and your videos have helped me so much. You are truly incredible…I appreciate you beyond words!

Textured bob with minimal layers and roundness in the back, not a stack! Specify how long or short you want to keep it 🙂
I couldn’t wait to see how you were going put a slight bend curl all over and you didn’t show it. Do you have a video that does?

Hi summer! What do you mean by “twist” when doing the layers? I don’t see you physically twisting anything. Thank you!!
It seems like you're taking out all the bulk at the nape area. It seems like with baby fine hair, you have to know when to stop cutting or before you know it, you've completely cut a different cut than the original plan..lol
A person with thick hair would probably ask for a blunt cut - no layers ... so point cutting gives texture?
The point cutting helps to soften the hair and remove some bulk without removing as much weight as thinning shears or layers. And yes it will help add some texture.
😍😍😍😍
omg i wish you could give me this hair cut
