@@ТаяГалкина-ч9ж thank you, I'm so pleased with it. Oh butterfly is a lovely style, glad you're loving your hairstyle too. Ikr!? Why do hairdressers never get it right, even when you take a picture in of what you want. 😂

Thanks so much for simplifying the hair cutting process for us home hair dressers. A couple of questions about this method of sectioning: 1. Would this work with a longer cut (shoulder length or even a little longer)? 2. Would it work with a side part or do adjustments need to be made? 3. Does it work with all hair types (or at least most, like moderately thin or thick, straight, wavy)? Thanks again!

Perla, go for it, I tried it on myself and it's super easy, the only difference was I did an undercut with clippers on the bottom section behind the ears to take out the bulk there because my hair is so problematic there and just sticks out, I have lots of cowlicks in my hair so it makes it more manageable for me.
I watched this a couple of times and finally did it, and i love it so far! My technique was lacking and will require some tidying, but the method is excellent! 😸
If you wanted it long enough for a high pony, the layer from bottom pony tail (at the "nape") would need to be long enough to reach the height of where you'd place your future high pony. This means you'd likely have a much longer bob, aka lob.
Truly epic video. Just one thing, is there any way to modify it for side parting on top? I feel like what could work is to cut the two lower sections in the same way, and then the top one would probably have to be done freestyle, no bands. But if there is some hack to do it, it would be a gamechanger.

Does this work better on more textured/coarse hair?
I have thick but fine hair too. It’s naturally straight but has enough body to come out wavy if I don’t brush it after showering then blow dry it while crunching it.
