15-year-old suspect in Renton crime spree had cut off 4 ankle monitors before arrest

- Three of the five youth suspects in a crime spree in Tukwila and Renton this week will have to remain in secure detention, a judge ruled Thursday afternoon.
One of the suspects, a 15-year-old boy, has been arrested multiple times in the last six months, including four prior instances where he removed an electronic home monitor ankle bracelet, officials said in court.
The Renton Police Department (RPD) said the suspects range in age from 12 to 16. Police arrested the group after a brief pursuit and crash at East Valley Highway and Southwest 41st Street on Wednesday.

The judges that keep letting these kids loose with ankle bracelets ought to be serving prison time of their own.
It's time to vote these judges out, this is why society has become so dangerous.
Fire everyone involved in allowing him to walk free after he cut off the first ankle monitor. This is insane.
Hold the juvenile court judges and the parents accountable for these "youthful offenders". There's no reason these suspects should be outside of the county detention facility.
Juvenile crimes is not something that should be taken lightly these days. Laws about their punishments need to change all across across the country. No one is doing them any favors by allowing them to grow up criminals.
Charge them as adults and give them 10 years in prison

What!!! Cut off 4 ankle monitors? Repeated violent crimes? He should have been held without bail when he was arrested again after the first time he cut off the ankle monitor. Who in their right mind would keep giving this kid another chance?
So one of the juveniles who had been arrested previously was released with an ankle monitor he cut off the ankle monitor he was arrested again went before a judge and the judge let him out again with an ankle monitor he then cut off the ankle monitor and was arrested again went before a judge and the judge release him again this is the third time with an ankle monitor and the criminal juvenile cut off the ankle monitor again how many times will a judge allow a criminal to cut off an ankle monitor and continue to release the criminal this is ridiculous and judges need to be held accountable
Who keeps releasing them like a revolving door?
Charge them as adults and send them to prison.
Add 25 years to their sentences for having guns.
Hold the parents accountable from now on.

The authorities are training them that the system collectively is not to be listened. They have learned there are no meaningful consequences. It’s all a game. I am not convinced the authorities are serious either. The idea he could cut moniters off four times with seemingly no consequences, it is just baffling anyone is being paid for such inept results.

When I was growing up in South Seattle in the 90s they gave everybody 5 to 10 years for a gram of crack. A gram people heavy handed now the opposite
The strange kid I knew from growing up was high on Sherm, stole a bus, rammed a bunch of cars and shot a few people in a moment of mayhem. They gave him 70 years he still in prison that was like 30 years ago these criminals don’t fear the law.
