What about maintenance cost for CVTs, also what all things can fail in it, heard somewhere that it has some bottery and if it fails, we can use the car till its fixed.
Yes, if failed you cannot use the car and the cost of not in warranty will be 2 lacs. For Wagaon R it costs 85k, just for perspective.

So when stuck in traffic for half hour, we have to keep switching between D - N - D - N - D - N - D - N - D ❓
I was thinking of going for Automatic bec I'm tried of using clutch & break & keep switching gears in traffic.
No just put it in D.
If you anticipate that the stop is for longer then switch to N and pull the handbrake, give short rest to right leg. Otherwise D/S/L with brake is normal.
