I was on that 💕. We had cruised from dundee to Shetland, Faroe Islands, tobermory and Belfast.
It was a lovely relaxing cruise. The ship, rooms , staff and food was brilliant too 🤗🤗
It was so relaxing sitting on our balcony whilst sailing up the Mersey and seeing the liver building come into view.
Only bad bit about it was having to leave the ship in Liverpool to return home 😥.

@@merseyshipping4494 she was, she had been completely re furbished. We had been given a free upgrade to a suite that had a bath and shower, walk-in wardrobe etc. resturaunts were very clean and laid out well. In fact the whole ship was clean. We are not keen on the bigger cruise ships so she was a perfect size for us. Max passanger capacity is 1200..
At end of cruise we all received a breakdown of how many miles we sailed, average speed, a breakdown of where the staff were from( captain is Ukrainian)etc. I would recommend it and hope to sail on her again 🤗💕

Great video. I have seen the other Ambassador cruise ship AMBIENCE a few times but I haven't seen AMBITION yet. I think she is due to start cruising from the Thames in November.

Hi Mersey Shipping, Great Video. It was interesting that she needed a tug to help here turn. It looked like the tide had just turned and the river was not flowing fast at this time, but surely with bow thrusters she should have had no issues turning? Plus the fact that she was still some distance off the stage once turned, she would have used her bow thrusters to help push her in, and maybe the tug would pull her stern closer to the stage. I liked seeing the Secombe stage being so low in the water. I have never noticed those old supports sticking up out of the water behind the stage before.

I was on the ambition and her maneuverability is great. I loved watching the wee pilot boats dropping off harbour pilots to direct us in/out of ports. I watched each docking and departure of our trip and was impressed at her maneuverability.
the Liverpool harbour pilot was directing the bridge on speed, direction etc during the docking process.
She was using her bow thrusters to dock as I could hear and see them, they were being pulsed ensuring the ship moved in slowly and carefully. This was the first time she had docked at the Mersey cruise dock and I’m pleased that the crew took their time to ensure she did so safely.
…..On leaving torshavn (Faroe Islands) she did an impressive reverse turn out of the small harbour. 💕the captain and bridge crew certainly knew their stuff.
From what I witnessed pilot boats or tugs were used to guide the ship or drop off/pick up the harbour pilot. I only saw the tug attached once(to the bow when turning 180 degrees before docking in hays dock, lerwick).
