I could use some help doing this. I just finished the driver side tie rod and the bellow didnt slip on nearly as easy as yours did. the ones I bought seem a little too small to fit over the steering rack side. Im just getting into the passenger side but it looks like it has even less clearance to get in there and stretch it on than the drivers side. any tips for the passenger side?
Unfortunately this is what it is. There's like a twist and push that I do for this. I dunno if you've ever like noticed how you pop a lid into a coffee can it anything, but that's what I do, I get the bellow started on part of the rack and then you just kinda push and twist and roll it around just a touch. It should pop in. As far as clearance I did most of this as you see, so unless you see specific stuff in the way, I dunno that you'll get it any better. I'll be up up in a few hrs for the day. Worst case if you've got an Instagram, we can try and video chat if you'd like.
i replaced both tie rod ends the other day ( passat b5) , but now I have new clicking noise and it has to be inner tie rods this time, and since I have never replaced them before this video will come in handy
There are certain sizes on sae sets that are basically the same as the metric counter part. Not every size no, but 1/2 inch is a 13mm, 9/16 is a 14mm, etc etc.
Kinda sorta, I will grow my indeed finger nails out as well. It's almost like having tweezers all the time lol. But my nails are tough, so I can actually adjust small carb screws and stuff, pick coins up, etc etc 😂. I'm well aware they're gross, but I don't have anyone I care to impress so meh lol.
Nice video~! And nice meeting you like this. At least we met through YT! ;-)
Yes! Hopefully we'll both get some subscribers! 😂

I hope it does! Over all the job really isn't bad. Took me 2 hrs including filming stuff to do it all once the car was up.

Do you play guitar? That thumbnail is wicked long.
We’re you able to get the zip ties onto the bellows?
No lol I don't play guitar. I use em for picking at stuff in smaller places. It's gross I know. But it's handy
