  • Guitar Cab Coffee Table. If you want to know how to make a guitar cab, and you have a coffee table, this could be the video for you!
I've been sitting in my lounge for a while thinking about turning the coffee table into a guitar cab, so I did it! The Oak and Slate construction of this coffee table may not add to the tone but it looks good and is just about big enough to hide a 12" celestion speaker.
Ladies and gentlemen, I bring to you, the coffee table guitar cab!

Good job, you can install a cone on the bottom shelf, with the tip facing to the speaker, and you will get surround sound.

    Definitely trying that. That’s awesome.

Awesome! Just wonder where the inspiration comes from. I'm pretty sure a 15" speaker in the tumble dryer would make a great bass cab :-)

The different color of the cabinet (compared to the coffee table) ensures that it's anything but hidden.

Next you should put a power amp pedal like EHX 5MM, maybe a cheap Mooer preamp and there you have a practice coffee table amp. Or just a little pedalboard you can put next to it :)

For better mic clearance, you could use a flat mic like a Sennheiser e905.

Do the mugs rattle off from the vibration?
Found this video because I came across an old Teisco coffee table amp and I was trying to find videos on it.

I’m just glad someone watched the video. Considering how much effort this was and how much I enjoyed doing it, it’s had no attention 😢
To be honest, I sit an amp head on it which has rubber feet so doesn’t move. It rarely gets used as an amp but maybe I should feature it more.
Very interested in the coffee table amp you mentioned. If you find it, please drop a link in the comments. I’ll also have a look
