Both of the Canik METE models, the SFT and SFX, are extraordinary, phenomenal handguns! I am very pleased with them. High quality manufacturing at reasonable fair prices. These are not "budget guns," these are well made handguns at affordable prices for us, working middle class Americans.
I only mean budget, as in budget friendly. They really are top notch Firearms.
@@cherrycitygunsandammo1011 correct. It is wrong to call a Canik METE or TP9 a "budget gun," given the high quality of the manufacturing.

@@ethancostello9473 the SFT has a 4.5" barrel length. The SFX is a 5.2" long barrel and the slide has some lightening cuts for weight reduction for competition purposes. The SFT is an easy to carry concealed handgun (I do it on regular basis) in an IWB or OWB holsters. The SFX is carried only in an OWB practical holster.
Don't have a carbine? Get a hold of the "do-it-all" SFX.

It’s a great shooter.
I'd been trying to get one since it was released. Exactly 1 week to the day after this video was uploaded, it finally came in. Frankly, it's the best handgun I've ever fired, let alone owned. Better even than the TP9SFx. Better trigger, better ergonomics, and being full ambi (me being a lefty shooter) it's perfect for me.
The only thing is isn't for me, is my EDC as it's a bit large to conceal well. For that, I run a Canik TP9DA. Another totally sweet firearm, I might add.
I really want to get my hands on the TP9DA. Even as big as I am the Mete is really big to conceal unless I’m wearing a large coat.
That mini pistol bit driver has sold me. I want that bad enough to buy the whole gun now. 🤣

This with a 20 round mag, a Swamp fox Sentinel, and a TLR-1 is one of my home defense guns. I let a guy shoot mine at the range and he absolutely fell in love

I put a 507k green dot on my 4.5 inch mete. Look at the MOA size of the dot. The 407k and 507k are different sizes. Green dot is crystal clear, I have astigmatism in my dominant eye. My MP 2.0 compact has a red color dot. It’s kinda star shape with my eyes. Thought I would share.

You should, they’re great guns.
The choice is between the METE with its mounting system that retains the rear sight, and the TP9SFX with the fiber optic front sight and the mounting system that loses the real sight.

Hopefully you’ll share a video soon with an optic that actually fits this gun. I’m considering running a Holosun

I haven’t handled the aft. I will tell you there that the Mete is a huge gun and would be difficult for conceal. Check out the canik tp9 sc

That’s kind of the way I’m leaning. I guess there is an adapter plate that will allow me to use a full size red dot, but then then I’d have to go with taller sights.
I have the 507k on my METE. Had to file the rear alignment tabs on the mounting plate because Holosun only has two holes on the bottom of the optic. But it sits low enough that you can co-witness it with the factory sights.

Yeah, pretty close. I held it in one hand and my Glock 17 in the other. Not the exact dimensions obviously, but very comparable.
MY friend and I both purchased new Canicks METE and TP9SFX they would not fire reliably. Stove piping on every shot. would not run on any of our ammo that runs perfectly on 6 other firearms.
We have not gotten any response from Century Arms . I cannot recommend any of these CANIKS. If we cannot resolve this problem we will just have expensive boat anchors.
Don't buy one of these unless you can shoot it first!!!
I hope your issue gets fixed. That’s seems very different from most peoples experiences so hopefully it is a limited issue.
Yell that’s sounds funny it would be hard to believe that any brand gun make of basically to of the same guns bought at the same time would not shot nothing , sounds like fake news and canik invive
I'm pretty sure you can find a story like this with EVERY gun manufacturer...out of my two Caniks none have malfunctioned including the Mete even with lower power 115 grain 🤷🏿♂️. But my go to if I can only keep one gun are my VP9 or my Sig AXG Scorpion

The trigger on the the tp9sa and the tp9sa mod 2 is a better trigger than the mete
So I don't know what all the rage is about
