  • I really like the Canik TP9 SFx, one of the best values in striker-fired pistols. CAnik recently released the METE SFx. I explore the differences in this tabletop first look. Range review in the works.

    Night and day difference. I have the TP9 SFX, wonderful pistol. Got my hands on a Mete SFX, I forgot all about the TP9. In fact the Mete SFX is SO good, I went and purchased the Mete SFT as well. Do not hesitate if you see either Mete guys, buy it!!!!

      You're tripping🤯 night and day difference coming from guy that owned both. You can hardly see the difference in the supposedly new improve beaver tail let along feel the difference. True difference is optic options, co-witnees and ambi slide release for left handed shooter. Im right handed and preferred the shorter (better looking) slide release. Also, Warren tactical sight less squares and top serration is more practical (makes gun looks better) imo.
      As for mag well unless you using it for competition. I always felt it makes guns look bulky and fugly. I rather get the 2 20rds mags instead. Subtle and preference differences at best not night and day🤦‍♂️

    Thanks for the review. I just recently learned about Canik as a whole and the Mete from classic firearms. Joined the r/Canik subreddit and saw a bunch of people buying the TP9 so wanted to know the differences. Sounds like the Mete is the latest iteration. Think I might need to get me an SFT 🤔
    Side note, looking thru the comments it looks like you take the time to respond to all comments (even unnecessarily rude dumbasses - and you deal with them gracefully which is a biiiiiig show of your character). This is very much appreciated! Subbed

    Good comparison. I bought the Mete but returned it for an SFX. I wanted a home defense/competition gun and the fiber optic front sight and larger mag release were the important differences for me. Did love the mag well on the Mete and really loved the FDE finish, but not enough to tip the scales for my purposes. Great work as always. Thank you.

      After looking at a PDP and a PPQ, I got the PPQ. Also looked at a TP9SFX, which I definitely liked, I just got the walther at a very good price so went with that one. I felt like the PDP didn’t feel as high of quality or as good of grip as the PPQ. The walther trigger is definitely best, although the P10 has a very clean break like the walther, just heavier. The Canik trigger is also good, the walther is just the best in the market. The canik isn’t behind by far, it’s the same if not better than the HK VP9

    • @robertspuller6121
      @robertspuller6121 2 года назад

      Yes all these guns are wonderful. And I will also say that you’re picking tuna with very light triggers. If it’s your first gun, I’d go with something else, because I’ve even had an ND down range with the PDP. I jumped the reset. But if it’s your first handgun, then go for it, you couldn’t start off with a better gun. But if I were you, i would go with the compact size in each gun, the 4 inch barrel. I’m a utility guy myself, I want guns I can use as a duty gun, as well as conceal carry. I love love love the PDP, unless the CZ comes with an optic cut, I’d pick the PDP. Otherwise I’d go with CZ. It’s in between the others in affordability, and you can use most glock 19 holsters with it. All around good gun, and not talked about enough.

    • @wayne6386

      As for first gun I would go with CZ P10 C unless you want full size then go with F. Trigger on CZ is just right. The other 2 trigger is much lighter. Therefore, CZ best for first gun and self/home defense imo.

    • @RidersRange

      Considering those guns, like many (most?) striker-fired guns, are fully cocked with a round in the chamber, I agree that a manual safety would be a great feature. Unfortunately, the public seems to believe that that little drop safety tab on the trigger is actually a safety. And yes, the SC ("Superior Concealment"??) is a little thick, but as I can certainly attest, thick in the middle seems to be the American way 😎

      J, thanks for watching and commenting. I'm not fluent in Turkish, but I did research the correct pronunciation. However, even Adam Ruonala, the Canik National Marketing Director, pronounces it the "American" way - Canik - not the true Turkish way. And I believe I mentioned in one of my earlier Canik videos that if you walked into most gun stores and asked for it by the Turkish pronunciation, most sales folks wouldn't have a clue what you meant. So, as with many "Americanized" words of foreign origin, Canik has strayed from its roots.
