Over the Shoulders of Atlas: A Cycling Odyssey Across North Africa

- Five years after circumnavigating the globe, Jon and Imran take on a new challenge; the pair set out to become the first men to cycle across the width of North Africa’s Maghreb, from Morocco in the west, through Algeria and Tunisia, to arrive at the gates of Libya. Follow the pair in the first of this two-part series as they travel through Morocco in the depths of winter and experience the people, the culture, and the beauty of the Atlas Mountains.
For me this is like my favourite band coming together for a tour.
Wow mashallah you guys are amazing.
Imran!!! Where have you been!! Nice to have you back!

يعطيك العافية المغرب الجميل

Great video, you have destroyed my Sunday. Had the day lined up for study but fell down the rabbit hole of your adventures. Inspirational travels from a modest lad from Leeds

Amazing and inspirational!!! 👊🏾
Good stuff! Look forward to the next!
Good experience
Last winter, I was on a trip between the Emirates, Arabia, Oman, and Saudi Arabia
Greetings from Canada. This route is on my list for...whenever the opportunity arises. It's really refreshing to see cycle touring captured in a realistic way. Besides the fine camerawork and narration, I most enjoyed the absence of shiny new expensive gear that is found in most adventures.
I actually won't watch any that begin with an intro of thousands of dollars of free gear laid out on the floor, and include a link for every manufacturer that chipped in. The travelers always refer to them as 'partners' to make it sound like they didn't email them begging for free bikes and gear.
Thanks again for documenting a real lived adventure.
Holidays treat ... an absolute gym of a cycling vlog 👏🏼🥳😁
Finally, after two years :D

niceeeeeee bro! greetings from Barcelona :)
Hey bro, hope all is well.
I want to cycle like your route also
Nice adventure👍❤💚💙
Man that was amazing
I always binge watched your channel! I have been traveling the world. But I want to also bike the world just like you do. How do you get started doing this? You should make videos on all this! It would be so interesting!
Thanks, and good shout, I’ll try make something regarding equipment in future. Equipment can be subjective but in a nutshell it’s just simply a bike, rack pannier bags and camping gear and just hitting hit the road and letting the script write itself. You will learn a lot from it.
@@ImranWorldCyclist thanks brother! Will put this in my notes! I look forward to your videos!
Brilliant
Nice trip men

Well done lads hope you have many more great journeys that you can share with the world. Best wishes and best of luck guys, it can't be easy, especially with that extra load (weight) on the bikes.
