Nice to see a well worded review of the 208 GTi. I'm shopping around for one of these in the Netherlands and it's sad how little proper reviews this car has gotten over the years.
I just bought an 8 month old 208 GTI Prestige with 2k miles on the clock and I fucking love it. I thought that the fact this car is more subtle when expressing it's boy racer roots is a big plus not a minus.
Steve Broughton I am thank you! Kinda regretting getting rid of the M5 but due to travelling long distance for work, I needed a more economical car. The pug reminds me of my Subaru I had just cheaper to run haha
A very fair and honest opinion.....I agree about the Festa ST, a bit bland inside. I've owned my 13 plate THP200 for four years...still love it, still goes well and looks fresh. I agree it could be a little louder, but I've put a non-res full stainless on it that sounds great. There are better and faster cars about.....most are in your face, shouty with look at me looks....so they're always going to appeal boy racer types. I've always liked that the Puglet just does enough to say "I'm different but I'm more mature".
Well I've just purchased one of these in metallic red [ 14 ] plate prestige with only just 17500 on the clock the couple i got it off live in Spain for 6 months of the year , am pleased as punch. Also this is the best review i have seen on You Tube an open and honest opinion and well presented , oh by the way am 63 years young reliving my youth blasting Elton John's entire collection though the speakers happy motoring.
Really good review, nice to see a test drive on roads we can all relate to,love the look of the Pug,would you say its a better 'everyday' hot hatch than the Fiesta ST
+Inside Lane just watched it now, another cracking review,i prefer the look of the standard Gti and from what your saying the standard car rides better,iv driven the ST and found the ride a bit harsh, great fun tho.
had this sold it and got the fiesta st3 with the mountune upgrade....although the Pug is a very good car the fiesta? well let's just say I'm happy with what I've got now
The Fiesta ST is more fun to drive. There is more of a playful nature to its chassis setup, whereas the GTI can seem a bit tame with the vast amount of grip it has. We will be testing the 208 GTI 30th Anniversary soon. It will be interesting to see how that does.
+Omnislash Vince We have just tested the new 208 GTI by Peugeot Sport that has all of the mechanical changes brought by the 30th. Check it out: ruclips.net/video/W18OLKR5Tho/видео.html
You do indeed! It really is a cracking little car. A slightly more powerful 30th anniversary GTI will soon be available, we get the keys in May, might be worth waiting for that. Here is our full review of the 208 GTI insidelane.co.uk/review-peugeot-208-gti/
Ricey92 unfortunately I don’t have Facebook. I have a couple of questions. The first one is with your custom exhaust was worth it? Going through a tunnel can you put your window down and hear it? The second one is the stock turbo have any noise or will I need to get a blow off valve and induction kit? Sorry for a long message this is first time getting a Peugeot
@@danielnorthcott53 not a problem with questions. Can definitely hear it even on road with windows up beautiful sound. Sound from turbo is quite mine can sound like I have a blow of valve but I don't as had problems with it. Induction kit will reduce power the car makes but will add abit of noise I have mine In a box not used

Very nice commentary as well. I feel like Brits (assuming that's your nationality) are just naturally great at car reviews.
we're the best
Scottish, English, Irish or Welsh? 4 different countries with 4 different 'cultures' . It is quite a big place...
Very nice camera work on the beauty shots. Great work once again Inside Lane.
You will think I’m crazy but I’m going from an E60 M5 to this little pocket rocket can’t wait!
Enjoy.....

Bought one of these yesterday
@@curseoftheenthusiast great fun cars mate, not had any problems to this day!
@@jumper936 Hey man. What year is the one you got? I am thinking about getting a 2014 one too but I see people telling others to buy mid 2015 or newer
How the car doing @onurdokmetas5673
This is by my best GTi, I'd chose this any day over Fiesta ST, Clio RS, Polo GTi, Corsa OPC, DS3 etc
how's reliability?
It is hard to say as its a brand new car, but Peugeot and Citroen have been getting a lot better over the past few years.

That's Tuckton bridge! Great review - think I'll buy one x

I don't think I can wait for that long. I am too impatient : ) Btw Is there any info on the price of the anniversary version ?
Ubercubertuber One with all of the toys should be just shy of £22,000. Only 100 will be coming to the UK.
love that the cons are that its not that masculine. thats a plus for me
Looks like southbourne
Class car, but you can’t leave the Clio RS200 out of the equation
fucking love my gti huge grins
The accent 🤍
Mate that's my car now 😂 looks nothing like that now tho
Just about to pick one up. There quiet stock have you put an aftermarket exhaust on it does it sound louder?
Yes mate join the Peugeot 208 owners club on Facebook you'll see how this looks now. But yeah got custom exhaust on now
