Yeah but both theories are still garbage. There is a small point about E. Gadd giving B. Jr. the paintbrush which falls apart when you realize E Gadd is supposed to be someone who never thinks things through to their fullest. On top of that it's very likely E Gadd disn't even know who B. Jr was at the time, seeing as he not only spent 20 years at the foot of the hill of the mansion. But also Mario and Peach didn't know.
Those could be used as references so FLUDD could recognize who they are trying to look out for. E. Gadd needed *direct* data, which FLUDD was used to collect as well as help Mario as part of the experiment.
I kind of like to think he was a rouge cosmic clone mario from one of the galaxy games that got a hold of the metal cap so he could keep a physical form. The cosmic clones are an interesting topic as well.

Lot of 4th wall breaks, so Like SMB1, has been re done and rereleased multiple times throughout the years. Like in Super Mario All-Stars with all the older games together at the start screen its like a rewards show, good guys and bad guys all dressed up waiting for you to choose the game behind the curtain. So whose to say that in the SMB universe that even the early re-releases of the first game was sort of like a movie based on Marios adventure. How else would Mario be a celebrity in later games? Other than a relationship with a princess I suppose. Just too many factors.

You want to know what I think? Well, first off, the idea E. Gadd tried making clones of both brothers and the robot Mario was a precursor to Gooigi is interesting. Definitely feels like something that E. Gadd would do. ...But the idea E. Gadd is evil and all that? Kinda reaching, there. I mean, the biggest red flag about why that doesn't make sense is the fact something Bowser Jr. said in the cutscene was taken at face value. In the same scene where Bowser Jr. says Peach is his mother and Mario is the bad guy always kidnapping her, Bowser Jr. says he was GIVEN the paintbrush by E. Gadd. And given the ending cutscene, Jr. clearly knew the whole time Peach wasn't his mom and that Mario isn't the bad guy, so it stands to reason Jr. was lying about being given the paintbrush, as well. Besides that, another sticking point with that villainizing E. Gadd I don't think makes sense at all is how you state E. Gadd knew Mario was going to be there. We have zero idea what E. Gadd knew and didn't know in Sunshine since E. Gadd doesn't physically appear in Sunshine, he's merely alluded to by way of products his company made. For all we know, the Piantas bought the paintbrush from E. Gadd to paint signs or paintings and all the typical painting related activities and they also bought FLUDD for the sake of having a machine that cleans things. And, of course, there's questioning the morality of putting the portrait ghosts into their portraits in the first place in addition to selling the King Boo portrait. To the former... these are malevolent ghosts who bring harm and cause terror with anyone they come across, E. Gadd's morally in the right for doing it. To the latter... well, to his credit, E. Gadd probably thought it harmless, thinking King Boo was just stuck in the painting forever, so it's very careless and irresponsible, but it's not morally reprehensible or anything. But that all said, it's obvious E. Gadd's no villain, he's just at worst a mad scientist in the sense he's a few cards short of a full deck and that his inventions backfire or lead to problems for other people. Which makes him creating Mario Brother clones less an act of some evil sinister purpose (since, really, what's a robot Mario built for racing or a gooey version of Luigi that melts from water gonna be used for in any sort of villainous scheme?) and more a case of "this guy's trying to create artificial life because he's a few beans short of a full pot of coffee."
I had a feeling I wasn't the only one who thought the whole Villain Gadd thing was far-fetched. The dude's just a scatterbrain at best and chaotic neutral at worst.
Maybe e.gad is trying to study how to Mario Bros. Work. How they jump so high, how they use the different powerups in the mushroom kingdom, and maybe he's trying to figure out why they're so much different from so many other humans in the Mario universe
I was actually really surprised to see something so on-the-nose similar like that. Not that Sonic invented the idea of the robo clone, it's just.. that's so much more a sonic thing than a mario thing. Mario barely has robots, and they usually look more like tin wind-up toys.
Interesting theory. As for the last part, if we do get an evil E-Gad that opens up soo many possibilities with an evil scientist in the Mario series causing trouble with his inventions. Except, he’s made of goo.

Holy shit it took him 6 minutes to get to the point Also it's shown in the game that Gooigi has no personality, he's essentially a husk piloted by Luigi. One of the cutscenes shows Gooigi getting screamed at by a ghost and not even flinching or blinking, he's kinda just mindless.
The e.gadd notes are really fascinating, it feels like actual effort was put in these considering the references to past games like using the pixelator for data, E.gadd's experience with time travel from partners in time to teach gooigy, but one thing that interests me is what caused gooigi to be created..coffee, because guess who has vast knowledge of coffee in the mario universe? E.gadd. In superstar saga e.gadd uses the Mario Bros the collect different types of beans for his café, could he have used different kinds of coffee to experiment with goo and create different gooigis?

Not done with the video yet, but something HUGE you missed: When Mario picks up F.L.U.D.D. for the first time, you can see the first few main Mario titles in clips in the bottom corner. These are clearly all the data E. Gadd had already collected up to that point, all stored in F.L.U.D.D. All ready to be used.
This isn't far from the truth anymore, since we're getting Fury Bowser who seems to be affected by black paint from the same paintbrush as in Sunshine!
Imagine a Luigi's Mansion Game where it starts off as King Boo as the villain, only to midway through the adventure, Egad is possessed by the Goo from Gooigi, forcing Luigi to side with King Boo. Then in the end, after King Boo and Luigi rescuse the real Egad, the 3 of them fight Goo Variations of themselves, allowing for an epic 3 part final battle.
My idea for battles involving multiple combatants is to have an AI or RNG attack thingy act as the enemy, which has been done before, but then in the background your other characters fight the enemy and you can switch between those fights. Meanwhile, as you control one character the other playable characters use an AI or RNG attack thingy to fight.
The part where you talked about the goo on E. Gadd's face sounded really similar to a part of a Mario fangame I am working on, where E. Gadd was trying to find a cure to old age and accidentally created a mind-altering virus that escaped from the cage and entered E. Gadd's mind. He recorded that he started feeling sharp pains on his back and that his eyes became a gold colour. Next, the virus took full control and E. Gadd transformed into the troublemaker he is today. He likely wears the glasses to hide his eyes. This happened a very long time ago, inside of the town that was destroyed by the shadow queen in the opening of paper Mario TTYD.
WAIT A SECOND. If E Gadd pixelates Luigi, converting him into pixels, that would mean the original Luigi, the one we've come to know and love, is DEAD.

Just putting this out there but perhaps E. Gadd could have been fooled in the Bowser Jr situation. Remember, Bowser Jr's handkerchief has the ability to make him look like Mario. For all we know, E. I always kinda liked her. Mario had a light/medium/heavyweight racer in Baby, Regular, and Metal forms, so Peach got Rose Gold Peach to have her own heavyweight version too. It's a bit weird that Luigi didn't get anything, but Mario/Peach are a duo in their own way.

Well, I have a slight feeling that in Luigi’s Mansion three, Gooigi is a vessel that Luigi posses. If you look at Luigi’s pose while Gooigi appears, you can see that he is kinda slumped over, and life-less. Just like his soul/mind has been removed.
Seems to be just a gameplay thing. In canon, they act as individuals. I think I heard something about Luigi psychically transmitting instructions to Gooigi or something. They do seem to act like different individuals when they move about and such.

My question: Why would E.Gadd would make copies of the Mario Bros in the first place? A) If he is Evil: Make copies of Mario Bros to rule the world. B) If he is Neutral: Sell copies of Mario Bros to anyone for whatever reason - nothing personal, it's just business. See, I don't mind clone characters as long as Nintendo fleshes them out. People would probably be much more accepting of Pink Gold Peach if she had a little bit of backstory, like Gooigi. I'm a fan of PGP, but hopefully they give her a little bit more of a reason to exist rather than just being Peach with a power-up

It could take on living forms, and even mimic the shapes of things like piranha plants... so I don't think it's a stretch to assume the goop from the Gaddbrush is an ectoplasmic construct similar to Gooigi.

I was actually really surprised to see something so on-the-nose similar like that. Not that Sonic invented the idea of the robo clone, it's just.. that's so much more a sonic thing than a mario thing. Mario barely has robots, and they usually look more like tin wind-up toys.

The e.gadd notes are really fascinating, it feels like actual effort was put in these considering the references to past games like using the pixelator for data, E.gadd's experience with time travel from partners in time to teach gooigy, but one thing that interests me is what caused gooigi to be created..coffee, because guess who has vast knowledge of coffee in the mario universe?
E.gadd. In superstar saga e.gadd uses the Mario Bros the collect different types of beans for his café, could he have used different kinds of coffee to experiment with goo and create different gooigis?

Never in my life have I been so offended by something I completly agree with.
Not done with the video yet, but something HUGE you missed: When Mario picks up F.L.U.D.D. for the first time, you can see the first few main Mario titles in clips in the bottom corner. These are clearly all the data E. Gadd had already collected up to that point, all stored in F.L.U.D.D. All ready to be used.
The plot of the next Mario game is that E. Gadd makes a hyped-up replica of Bowser that does the usual.

I thought the character was ROB but I was almost sort of close
Imagine a Luigi's Mansion Game where it starts off as King Boo as the villain, only to midway through the adventure, Egad is possessed by the Goo from Gooigi, forcing Luigi to side with King Boo. Then in the end, after King Boo and Luigi rescuse the real Egad, the 3 of them fight Goo Variations of themselves, allowing for an epic 3 part final battle.
I think that, based off the past games, that that is pretty unlikely but it would be really cool to see that happen
Better story than Twilight
That'd make for an awesome Luigi centered RPG game, and would definitely buy it.
My idea for battles involving multiple combatants is to have an AI or RNG attack thingy act as the enemy, which has been done before, but then in the background your other characters fight the enemy and you can switch between those fights. Meanwhile, as you control one character the other playable characters use an AI or RNG attack thingy to fight.

The part where you talked about the goo on E. Gadd's face sounded really similar to a part of a Mario fangame I am working on, where E. Gadd was trying to find a cure to old age and accidentally created a mind-altering virus that escaped from the cage and entered E. Gadd's mind. He recorded that he started feeling sharp pains on his back and that his eyes became a gold colour. Next, the virus took full control and E. Gadd transformed into the troublemaker he is today. He likely wears the glasses to hide his eyes. This happened a very long time ago, inside of the town that was destroyed by the shadow queen in the opening of paper Mario TTYD.
Didn't E.Gadd create a device that allows the user to become a Ghost in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga? I'd assume that a Ghost wouldn't age.

I always kinda liked her. Mario had a light/medium/heavyweight racer in Baby, Regular, and Metal forms, so Peach got Rose Gold Peach to have her own heavyweight version too. It's a bit weird that Luigi didn't get anything, but Mario/Peach are a duo in their own way.

Well, I have a slight feeling that in Luigi’s Mansion three, Gooigi is a vessel that Luigi posses. If you look at Luigi’s pose while Gooigi appears, you can see that he is kinda slumped over, and life-less.
Just like his soul/mind has been removed.
But in Mansion 3 trailers it looks like Luigi slumps over when Gooigi is unleashed... So what is going on there?
Seems to be just a gameplay thing. In canon, they act as individuals. I think I heard something about Luigi psychically transmitting instructions to Gooigi or something. They do seem to act like different individuals when they move about and such.

Like this is amazing. Just when I feel like I've seen almost everything as far as deep lore goes for Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion (childhood/teenage years games) you go and drop this BOMBSHELL on me and I'm so blown away. Unlike other video game theories I've seen, where a lot of it seems like just headcanon made around something the developer didn't intend, this has proof all over the place and it's amazing. I won't be looking at Sunshine, Luigi's Mansion and such the same way again and I freaking love it. I love looking deep into these classics and this stuff makes me so much more excited for Luigi's Mansion 3. You know, during the WiiU era of Nintendo, when Dark Moon came out, I felt like a lot Nintendo's prior charm and in depth word building was gone, but now I have so much more appreciation for Dark Moon. It could take on living forms, and even mimic the shapes of things like piranha plants... so I don't think it's a stretch to assume the goop from the Gaddbrush is an ectoplasmic construct similar to Gooigi.
