Thanos with the gauntlet his only opposition would be the living tribunal who has the power to render the infinity gauntlet useless. The closest thing we've seen in dragon ball to that is the grand priest removing flight skills from characters. We saw whis turning back time for 3 minutes. Dragon ball characters have their limits. Thanos with the gauntlet does not.

So the main problem is that if you are using King Thanos as the "Max level Thanos" and he is near the end of his ark. The, by all means, this debate should be done once Goku reaches the end of his ark. Clearly, Goku will transcend Ultra Instinct just like every other form. Also, it is worth pointing out that Gohan is actually training now and Goku said it himself that Gohan can be stronger than him if he just tries.

I'm surprised Chuck didn't mention Heart of The Universe Thanos during the Marvel: The End storyline. That version of Thanos literally destroyed and recreated the entire Marvel universe and even suck in the LT along with several other of the abstract beings. Pretty sure that version of Thanos also wins as he was even stronger there than the Infinity Gauntlet Storyline.

First off I want to say that I admire your content and I respect your views and opinions. I knew this topic would be talked about heavily and, boy, is it ever? Now, I want to make it clear that I have nothing against the power scaling community or what they do. It's okay to have a little fun with these discussions as long as people are having a good time. My problem stems from people's reactions and backlash when it comes to these things. When we are talking about fictional characters, anything is really possible. The characters are only truly limited by the scriptwriters' imagination and whatever limits said-scriptwriters impose on them. This means that at any given time, any fictional character could defeat another, no matter how unlikely it may seem. The scriptwriters are in complete control and can do whatever they choose to do, write the story however they wish, and decide the winner any way they like. Let's take Dragon Ball as an example. Throughout the majority of Dragon Ball, DBZ, and DB Super, Goku has been much stronger than Krillin. Krillin, as we know him, stands no chance against Goku even in his base form. However, Akira Toriyama could write whatever "ass pull" he decides and Krillin could win, and THEN fans would be able to do nothing about it but speculate and theorize as to why or how it happened, when the real answer is "because Toriyama wrote it that way." Furthermore, as we know, there are so many inconsistencies and contradictions within Dragon Ball itself (the same could also be said for other fictional multiverses). A good example would be the power scaling during the Goku Black arc. Now, if power scaling and such is so inconsistent just within a fictional universe on its own, just imagine trying to compare one fictional universe vs another. There would be no way to properly scale anything, really. Goku might be able to destroy galaxies in the DB multiverse, but how strong are galaxies in other fictional universes, like OPM for example? We can't use real life logic, laws of nature, etcetera, to scale anything because we already know these fictional multiverses don't abide by real life logic, laws of nature, etcetera... If Goku fights against Thanos, do we use DB logic to scale Thanos' power and abilities, or do we use Marvel logic to scale Goku's power and abilites against Thanos? We could just take them both out of their respective fictional universe/multiverse and put them in "neutral" grounds, but then what? How do we scale how strong each character would be? We can't use real life logic, as I mentioned before. All we CAN do is speculate and theorize as fans, but the fact is, that we will never be able to reach a final conclusion. If Toriyama is writing the script, he can easily write Goku to be the winner. If Stan Lee is writing the script, he could just as easily have Thanos defeat Goku. But us fans, all we can do is speculate using the info thats given to us by the creators of these fictional universes. Obviously, we cannot enter their minds and get the answer to something like "what would happen if Kefla gets pregnant and then defuses?" because it just never happened in the series and we don't know how Toriyama would handle that. Each fictional universe, its components, and limitations are each defined by their respective creators/writers and their imagination. Its really unrealistic to try to compare one character's abilities and limitations when we are taking that character and removing it from the same fictional universe that defines said-character's abilities and limitations... I'm finding it difficult to word it the way I want to say it, but the point I'm trying to make is that its not such a big deal, we DON'T need it to make logical sense, and it IS okay to have "VS battles" all in the good name of FUN. But when people start name-calling, threatening, and disrespecting each other over something that us fans cannot even decide with the information given to us.... what in the hell are we doing?

I think Goku would be able to eventually beat King Thanos without the Infinity Gauntlet. Worse comes to worse I think they could perform an evil containment wave on him.
Its an interesting topic. Goku with MUI even low ball is multiversal just using the fact he could destroy the macrocosm in base by RoF arc after absorbing SSJG powers and increasing in power afterward. Just stacking Kaioken X20 and the official 400X multiplier for SSJ3 already takes him into the multiversal ranges of power, then we have all the many zenkais, training, SSJG and SSJB, limit breaks in ToP via Omen state, and finally MUI buffs, which is a massive boost.
As for Thanos I agree classic is gonna be one shot, even by base Goku. IG, yeah, it is OP, at its peak showings IG can overpower Ultimate nulifier with ease, which can reset infinite universes in the abraxus arc, so even if you say IG only beat M bodies, or Universal+ embodiment's of the abstracts, which is a reasonable argument given the IG is only effective in it's Universe, it still has that, which makes it stronger than Goku even with multiversal levels of power for overpowering a multiverse+ weapon. The only way Goku is winning that is if Thanos lets himself lose, which is possible since it happens in the actual comics, or If Goku wises up that Thanos gauntlet is useless in other Universes and takes the fight to another Universe, or runs and destroys Thanos Universe on purpose or by accident. But I heavily lean to Thanos winning with IG aside from those specific scenarios.
Now Thanos from the more recent run, I don't know as much about so i may be missing something feat wise and specifics. My understanding is however, it is very likely he destroyed the m bodies of the abstracts, aka universal embodiments, since I don't recall seeing proof he was wiping the entire multiverse, and it was seemingly contained to his own timeline, which was erased along with him in the end from what I understand. So I am unsure we can scale Thanos as being superior to higher dimensional multiversal abstracts. For certain he should be able to beat the Universal embodiment's, but thats as far as id go without undeniable proof that he was written to be like 16D and above their multiversal states. That being said I'd have him as low multiversal for beating the M bodies that embody the Universe and the celestials, but it is likely he is not above IG Thanos imo. So considering I have Goku as multiversal and Thanos low multiversal I would say Thanos sure has hax, but Goku has power and speed in this fight, and it is likely due to the pwoer diffrence he would resist Thanos hax. So imo Goku takes that fight.
So from the info I have gotten to sum up IG Thanos > MUI DBS Goku > King Thanos > Classic Thanos.
