I wondered how people did this. I was scared to try it as it looked complicated. Your video makes me think I might can do this! Thanks for sharing ideas! XOXO
Great tutorial! I never thought to apply the ink before pressing the frame to the shirt! Does that step help with bleeding? I keep getting bleeding on my screen print projects it’s driving me nuts!
So you actually can’t. You have to wash the paint off or it ruins the screen which in turn washes off the vinyl. However you can make permanent screens with htv. You can actually remove the screen from the frame and change them out if you have designs you use all the time
i just did some red koozies with white Speedball paint.... followed all your steps correctly. why are some of the white images faded in some areas? i pulled the ink down 3 times on each one. wanted the red koozies to have bright white images and this is not the case.
@@CorinneBlackstone so how do you remove the original paint. I mean. Will the surface be smooth or do you have to remove the dried outs paint. Sorry. First time I saw this. This would be a great tutorial what you do when you are done with projects. Thank you so so much
@@gentryluz as stated in the video you wash the screen before the paint dries. You just simply rinse it with Luke warm water until it’s clean and allow it to air dry
Applied correctly htv will outlast your shirt. So if it’s not lasting long it’s not being applied correctly. These are two very different products. Screen print lasts just as long and as for easier I would say similar but less expensive especially if you are doing multiple shirts with the same design
So how can you do a second coat for crisp lines and more uniform color on dark tshirts? I know they have a screen with a with a hinge hinge that allows you to pull it up and then replace it back down but I'm not sure how to keep the T-shirt in place for sure?
@@CorinneBlackstone Using the hinged speedball screen, do you mean by holding the screen up by hand or with the kickstand thing, drying with a heat gun and placing the screen back down and applying a second coat?
@@CorinneBlackstone In addition to question above, do I need clamps to hold the hinged screen in place? Or can I just place on hindered screen on the tshirt you did, and carefully pulling up and the screen where it would stay in place so the second coat is exactly in the same position?
I have not ever done this before but it looks just as good and a lot less expensive than the more expensive methods which involves buying a new printer.
Corrine help. I am working on a project and I'm at the end of the rope. I have a design I made I have it in cricut ready to cut out. I want it to cut out as a sticker. I have it all on print/cut and had it print on some transfer vinyl. When I went to cut, it was cutting all the letters and objects out. I want it to just cut around it. HELP.
@@CorinneBlackstone do you think if I did my best to like. Get all the ink off on a piece is scrap and then did a few passes with the new color it’d work out?
you can also lightly iron on freezer paper as a backing to prevent bleed through. this is a great tutorial, thanks!!!
Thank you Corinne for this tutorial, had many questions and you did answer all.
I can screen print now?!?! Holy cow, this is a game changer!!
Yep! It’s so easy!!
I wondered how people did this. I was scared to try it as it looked complicated. Your video makes me think I might can do this! Thanks for sharing ideas! XOXO
You can do this!
I use a lil heat with a blow dryer and that makes the adhesive stick way better. It's like fast forwarding time with the vinyl.
There is no need to heat the vinyl and the heat can actually damage the screen if you heat it a bit too much.
Thxs for sharing, I’m now getting into this
Love your videos! So helpful!
Awesome! Tutorial thank you so much. Could you use a professional steam press without the steam? Or cricut press
Yes absolutely either one will work
Love it! I love Auntie Tay, I have been watching her for a really long time!

It does help with bleeding. If you are getting bleeding also use less pressure and ink
Thank you! That looks fun!
It works great but I will say the the speedball colors do crack sometimes
Thanks for the tip

White on bright colors is hard honestly it doesn’t always work great. I have yet to get a really bright white with screen print

Thank you so much 💓 for this great video
What kind of ink do you use?
Everything I use is linked in the video description but here is the link amzn.to/3PRshFR
Do you have to have a fluorescent light source for the glow in the dark ink to work?
Nope just regular light. Sunlight, house lights they all work.

Is it possible to wash and reuse the same vinyl stencil??
I have a video about making reusable stencils here ruclips.net/video/WFtp3NYvasU/видео.html

Can you reuse the same image on the screen with multiple shirts?
Yes you sure can!

Correct this can only be used for personal use

I dont see the link to clean the stencil and the screen
Just rinse it in warm water no soap required you can use your hand to rub off any thicker bits of paint
How many shirts can you make off one stencil?
As many as you want as long as the vinyl holds. I have done 25 and it was still holding.
My problem is I have a hard time trying to get the transfer to stick to the screen
likely your transfer tape it too sticky. Try desticking it a little on your shirt or table
