- Klingon warriors are fierce fighters but despite their lust for battle, they are chased by the Cardassians and their new Dominion allies. Now the Klingons are on the run and reunite with the Federation to face a new threat. The situation escalates when Deep Space Nine gets attacked and the Federation has to flee.

Chills. Chills. Chills. Then “For Aron and Rene”...😭😭😭
Exactly.

Rest In Peace ✌️

Tyler Riggs, I know mate it did the same thing for me. A huge smile joined with a tear of sadness for who we have lost.
Still holding on to the hope for 6&7. All of them are great!
This tells the season five story completely for those of us who have seen season 5, and reveals nothing for those who haven't. Perfect trailer.
um actually i was going to this trailer is full of spoilers? and this trailer has very little to do with what actually happened in this season
@@thewewguy8t88 That's what I mean. It's full of spoilers, but only people who have seen the show will see the spoilers.
@@liamloxley1222 I guess we both have different definitions of what qualifies as spoilers.
@@Claudanne2 I would argue that Dukat announcing the Cardassian Union has joined the Dominion is a major spoiler for season 4, since a large part of the season revolves around him being a renegade from the Central Command, fighting the Klingons and being on the same side as Sisko and the Federation. Knowing he joins the bad guys once again kinda ruins that whole ark.
@@xxTheFlyingPigxx Right! I forgot he was a renegade in season 5, I think I got four and five confused. I take my "spoiler free" stance back.
That transition from a D'k tahg to Vor'cha is one of the most impressive uses for ST iconism I've ever seen
Klingons are so amazing. And it just fits that they are the allies of the Federation. Honor and purpose in lockstep. When the fleet rams into the Dominion lines in Sacrifica of Angels and the two Birds of Prey commanded by what must have been bloodwine-drunk bloodlusted Captains charged straight into Dominion Battleship weapons fire and bit the fucking dust as they obliterated a Dominion Battleship and cleared a path for the Defiant to DS9. Wow. Songs will be sung. Stovokor has earned new warriors.
Weyone: You will not «allow» ?!
Sisko: You *heard* me.
This trailer somehow made that line 10 times more badass.
It was epic in the episode.
"For Aron & René". Classy ❤️
Came here to say this. Thank you for these videos. They're amazing
I don't mean to be disrespectful to anyone, but who?
I grew up on TNG and DS9 and then VOY and later ENT, but I haven't really followed it since the reboot or the post ENT timeline (discovery, etc). Did some of the actors pass away? I had heard the young Checkov from the new movie died in a car accident (the dude was so young...), but am not sure which people it's referring to and want to know. Did some more people die?
Man, seems like so many people dying these days. Just a little bit ago Nemoy died, Chewie and Carrier Fisher from Star Wars... so many lately...
@@SubduedRadical Not sure who Aron is, but Rene, the guy who played Odo, recently passed.
Aaron Eisenberg played Nog
RIP
I hadn't heard of Réné's passing until I saw that dedication... just spent 20 minutes in tears. His work on ST:DS9 was flawless and the journey he undertook impacted my life tremendously... may you have finally found your true form, my friend, for you have formed so many aspects of mine x x x
Thank you for writing that. Me too. I wonder how many of us.
0:15 He took out a Excelsior class starship with a bat'leth. Now that is badass
Right? I could see taking out an Oberth with a bat'leth, but the Excelsior was blessed by Stan Lee himself, which made it a much tougher class of ship.
For Aron and Rene
Yeah, I um, needed to rinse my eyes out.
Damn allergies.

The visuals in this are beyond stunning. I can't decide which I like the most, the Dagger becoming the vor'cha which then goes to warp, which then becomes a computer display or that shot of DS9 opening it's weapon ports and the dominion battlecruiser flying overhead
Weirdly enough, the visual style is very similar to the American Gods opening credits (Created by Bryan Fuller)
wow that moment when the klingon knife turns into Vor`cha! I never thought those look alike
“For Aron and René”😢😢😢😢😢
RIP Nog and Odo
Absolutely brilliant. But to hell with HD. *Paramount ... PLEASE remaster DS9 in 4K.*
Yes. Take my money.
PLEASE !!!
Unfortunately, they'd likely have to refilm it, or at the very least redo all the post-processing. I don't think this was shot on film like TNG was, so you're completely limited by the resolution that was encoded into the videotape.
Yes, there are various methods of upscaling, but they'd pale in comparison to a true 1080p remaster from film stock
@@sonacphotos Good to know. I guess it was Voyager that was shot to tape (was watching a video from Technology Connections about this subject).
Braden E Nelson yes!
This is simply fantastic! :D
With a capital "F"!
If only they could attach the Niners promos to the box set, or use them in advertising the series' seasons.
0:19 God lord we need a wallpaper of that
I totally agree and want to click like but the likes are currently at 47.

@@Xaranos THANK YOU THIS IS MY WALLPAPER NOW AND I LOVE IT >:D
Ds9 will always be my favorite, this was a beautiful love letter to it.
One can only hope that one day the entire show will get this treatment
Magnificent.
I can't possibly imagine a DS9 fan who would not love this ♥️
PLEASE, if possible I would love to see a trailer like this for the 7 part finale miniseries.
What do you mean by miniseries?
I hated DS9 . . . Until I was 20 years older now I can't believe how stupid I was, it's so damn good!
AtlasFox the last part of the Seventh Season is a group of episodes starting with “Penumbra: Part 1” and ending with “The Dogs of War: Part 8” that are supposed to act as a conclusion for most of the series’s story. Each is (as I’m sure you’ve gotten) numbered Part 1-8, however the last episode of the series is actually “What We Leave Behind: Parts 1 & 2” which is immediately after that long grouping (at least when you look via Netflix, I don’t have the energy to check my DVD set).
@@KobLop I stand corrected.
@@NeverWokeNotASoiBoy You might be interested in what Wil Wheaton wrote in his blog about DS9 a few months back:
He didn't watch it while it aired, and he felt a mild sense of personal rivalry towards it since he was still on TNG.
A short time ago he rediscovered it and loved it--his observations are fascinating, especially considering his unique perspective.
Outrageously awesome.. OMG, And when the Sisko spoke at the end... GUYS! That was brilliant...
They're tricky, those tides....
Gave me chills when Dukat said Cardassia had agreed to become part of the dominion.
This show is, in my view, the pinnacle of what Star Trek has achieved. It takes the values and ethics developed over several decades and puts them to the test, determining if this Federation can survive the ruthlessness of war and come out clean on the other side.
12 people are disappointed this isn't an actual trailer for an actual HD release.
@Aidy Souter This is just a fan-produced trailer, nothing official.
Or a statement that the trailer is very good, but doesn't reflect their dislike of the series.
Like me.
@@ploppysonofploppy6066 Oh hi Gene.
@@Toanuriamer99 Think you've mistaken me for someone else?
Or I've missed the joke😉
i am actually dissapointed in general with this trailer.
For Aron and Rene... I'm glad you added this, also I have to say the transition of the D'k tahg into a Vor'cha is particularly sweet and thematic.
One forgets just how big these ships are until you see a shot like that Excelsior class on its side...
Still the BEST Star Trek series!
Nope. TNG forever! Picard... uhhm yeah. Picard, nuff said!^^
You know, as a kid, I was TNG all the way. As an adult, DS9 is my favorite Star Trek show. If we step into a future similar to Star Trek, I think DS9 probably most accurately reflects the development and conflicts we will experience.
By far..
@@nickf8311 As a kid TNG was the best, but as an adult DS9 is pure magic. I love Garak and Quark
@@DerDop True. But i preferred Voy. Wasnt that dark and they explored an unkown place like Tng. But yeah this two Chars were amazing.
Oh wow! I've actually got tears in my eyes after this (especially with the dedication card for Aron and Rene!). This was so epic and spot-on. I loved the crashed Excelsior and the "Call To Arms" battle. But as it drew to an end, I found myself thinking "Are they going to do the big fleet at the end?" You definitely did not disappoint, not then and not at any point earlier! The "Two Steps From Hell" music made it even more epic (I've got all their music on my Apple Music library as I'm a massive fan!)! Thank you so much for making this! It was brilliant!
JPWPhoenix Yeah, I was already tearing up at this dramatic video of the show I love before they put the dedication to Aron and Rene at the end. I shouldn't have watched this sitting in my car in a public parking lot.
The spirit of DS9 still lives in us all as freshly now as it did back then! Beautiful!
Beautifully done. "They're tricky, those tides..."
This is a really skilled edit, and so beautiful in HD. Really shows that the series is worth releasing in high def.
~Trav
Wow! I teared up for Aron & René. I’m excited even though I have seen all the episodes 10 times each
As did I😭
“For Aron and René...” 😢
Nicely done. Excellent video and an incredible tribute! Made want to go back and rewatch the 5th season again.
Truly, great job.
Great job! I would love a continuation of the series but sadly without Odo and Nog it'll feel incomplete.
That pull away shot of DS9 fighting the Dominion fleet and that clip of the crashed Excelsior Class ship were amazing and visually stunning!
This is just absolutely stunning. The dialogue. The High Def space battling. And the Aron and René is amazing. And the final Trek theme during the credits is even awesome. 10/10 well done. Amazing. You have other ones in the works too? Would and could watch these all day long for every shows seasons would be awesome. This reminds me of like some of the new ways they are doing the graphics and mixed with the way they used to do the model and CGI shots for the shows/movies. What do you guys think a DS9 movie would have been about?
It would have been about some event during the Dominion War. It would have had the cinematic of a big space battle, but therein, a personal story would have been told. My personal one would have been about Gul Dukat and his daughter. or Garak centered movie.
"For Aron and Rene" Perfect; thank you
This is such an amazing show, it has truly touched me and changed the way i thought at a young age, and this changed who i am today. It almost brings a tear to my eye to see such amazing work being done by the fans nearly 20 years since this show went "off the air"!!
Although all of this was amazing, beautiful. I really digged the end credits being done in the style of First Contact--that is the film that got me into Star Trek as a kid, tuning into VOY and DS9 around the same time.
Amazing work! It's amazing that the spirit of DS9 still lives on. Kudos to those who dedicate so much of their time to keep that spirit alive.
Wow, that was great! I still don’t understand why Paramount can’t employ talented people like this to be involved in remastering DS9 and Voyager to HD. They would do it for an infinitely lower cost, and the fans would do everything they could to make it as special as possible for us fans! 🖖
Aron and Rene maybe gone, however, they are eternal in all the hearts, minds and souls of us fans of STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE. As long as the fandom lives on, the characters they portrayed live on.
If CBS would hire any of the fan made talent they might be able to have a Real Star Trek show.
Lucky for us that Disco is such awesome Trek and only has to compete with drivel like Family Guy Blue Harvest: The Orville Generation.
The end of the first season of Discovery put me off, it made no logical sense. Think of how deep the Dominion war felt, there's just no comparison.
@@AH-iu1cw you wanna compare Disco S1 to DS9 S5?
Sure. Any non-first-season of ANY Trek is better, sight-unseen, than any first-season Trek you could possibly point to.
Just like Disco S2 is automatically better than DS9 S1.
Bravo. You proved a universal point that literally NO REASONABLE PERSON would disagree with. If the Lion gets his Courage and the Tinman gets his Heart, your college educated Strawman can take Dorothy back home to Kansas. What's your point?
Well said!
You mean instead of the Lens Flare orgies we have been getting from the new films and television show?
Please make more space battles.
I've been a fan of Star Trek since 2000 & that was an amazing season 5 trailer of DS9 & for Aron & René very nice
We really need an animated show for Star Trek in the style of the Clone Wars
This, alongside Astares, is the best cgi series I have ever seen on RUclips
Excellent job in this trailer! I loved it. If you could go through and remaster the whole series, that would be beyond amazing. I don't see CBS remastering in HD and launching on Blu-ray, but someone needs to do it. DS9 deserves the UHD/Remaster treatment.
R.I.P. Aaron & Renee. Your legacy will live forever.
Ooh, that last shot where the camera is going through the Akira classes opening. Incredible *chef's kiss*
I know you can't rush perfection, but when can we expect season 6 & 7. These are just to good.
The dagger flashing into the Vor’cha is incredible ❤
I wish you the best of luck make it a good one. For the glory and honor of Star Trek Deep Space Nine.
Deep Space Nine is still one of the best TV shows out there :)
If I could give you a hundred thumbs up I would. I love it. DS9 is the single most under appreciated Star Trek series.
I love this teaser. One could almost dream of a Deep Space 9 Movie! 👍
Absolutely Beautiful even more so with "For Aron and Rene" being added in there.
Can't wait for the next two! You guys are truly bringing the best of trek up a notch! Great work. Aaron and Rene would be very proud
This is beautiful. This should play at all the conventions.
Wow, this is some great work! I enjoyed all your UHD teasers, but this is the best so far, IMO.
If any Trek needs a HD remaster its DS9. The battles could be amazing with modern tech
MAGNIFICENT WORK AS ALWAYS!!!!!!! Thought you folk had given up making these. Just the best ..... thank you for your persistence.
Keep hope alive for DS9 HD... all eps, not just clips from the documentary
With modern cg like they did for TOS, nothing would touch it for decades.
Not gonna happen. DS9 and VOY were both mastered on video.
Just a little bit longer and DS9 will be 8k+, thanks to AI. Just a matter of time. We don't need the original film for that.
@@kasmopaya2676
SD to 8k...good one.
I worked with upscaling solutions for film and other archival materials. Adding artificial details and artifacts isn't going to cut it. It looks awful on SD material.
Give it enough time and the advanced AIs will pull that off. Nothing is impossible in the future.
I guess the season 6 trailer is about due. Love your efforts and talents making these . Thank you .
You just reminded me how much i loved DS9
Take notes, producers! This teaser trailer gave me more Star Trek than the entire last series!
Wow. How long does this take to produce, and how many people are involved? This is high quality CG, I can't even try to imagine how much effort this is.
This is an awesome trailer. Love the tribute to Aron & René.
Aron and Rene are with the Emissary in the Celestial Temple.
Amazing work and a lovely touch to add the tribute to Aron and Rene at the end.
So good. Iwas actually teased about a show I watched 20 years ago. Great job.
This was great! Thanks for making it and adding the little tribute to our fallen brethren at the end.
this is so well done. Definitely caught something in my eye when those credits started...
1:02 is such a Babylon 5 type of shot. And I'm here for it!
The visuals were incredibly stunning.
Incredibly stunning!
When are you doing a trailer for seasons 6 & 7 ?
GREAT WORK!! Thank you for giving us back Trek!
Brilliant trailer that captures the themes and issues of Season 5. For example, the juxtaposing of Weyoun's public relations crafted dishonesty with the aggressive, imperialist ambitions of the Dominion, as they launch an attack on the station is superb.
That flyby of the Akira class at 2:00...WOW!!!
So much love... DS9 has the best fans by far... loyal 4ever.
To quote Captain Scott “Brought a tear to me eye”
You're back!! Yayyy
This is great, nice work 👍 I like how it’s almost one long shot, each scene blending into the next. V cool
Really cool guys! Amazing video, makes me want to watch DS9 all over again.
That crashlanded Excelsior is such an epic view.
Excellent job, this is astounding work. DS9 along with TNG were by far the best Trek series. The shows CBS is making now are crapping all over the franchise and are not worth watching, but at least we'll always have these older shows to go back to.
Love this trailer. You guys do incredible work. It was a nice touch to dedicate this to Aron and Rene.
PLEASE DO SEASON 6 AND 7!!
I LOVE THESE!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
When are you doing seasons 6 & 7?
This is beyond wonderful! And nothing beats DS9! A fitting tribute as well as a trailer for a great 5th season!
Thank you!
Ending the trailer with the Call to Arms fleet but from an opposite angle than the original scene was a brilliant choice.
VERY nicely done! Sure miss them all!
The guy who did the Sisko voice was almost spot on....
Amazing work as always! So far 3 changeling infiltrators have downvoted...
This gave me very real goosebumps. The gravitas is incredibly fitting. Well done!
Wow!! Thank you!! This was just so so wonderful to see. And seeing the dedication sent tears. Thank you so much!
Everything about this looks amazing, but I especially loved the blue text in the end mimicking the intro to First Contact.
"For Aron & Rene" MY HEART 😭💔❤️
You're back! Amazing. Beautiful tribute at the end.
Trailers on seasons 6 and 7!
This is awesome- and fitting for the best series of them all.
You have returned!!!!!!!!!! Woooooooooooohoooooooo!!!!!!!
An Excelsior class starship driven into the dirt. Once the pride of Starfleet, now reduced to rubble. A derelict.
Amazing, amazing work!
