Bar work is ARB, Lift is 3' EFS, Tires are 35' NITTO Trail Grapplers MT, Roof Rack is tracklander and the tray is Bull motor bodies, over head console and more I cant quite remember ATM.
Cheers, just got my 76 wagon last weekend. Love it but it doesn't beat the BT-50 3.2L in the bush, as they are wider and better COG. The 76 series are very scary on sideways-downhills. Haha. Just put on the Redback extreme duty straight-through exhaust on as sounds awesome. Just purchased the KW-Systems chip as well, so should arrive in about 2 weeks or so, will chime in on how it goes.
Wicked setup mate, looks great and sounds delicious! was actually just pricing one of these up, bit out my price range unfortunately. keep the videos coming!
These videos have plenty of info on the truck: 79 series Part 1 ruclips.net/video/bfGoZbZuvbA/видео.html Part 2 ruclips.net/video/L7cOo7iagxs/видео.html
unfortunately, I guess what saved the 70 series is the very fact that it is NOT imported in the States.. Otherwise it would have been "adapted" to your market and would have long lost its qualities.
Mark Pankhurst SS auto repairs in WA do the entire kit and can mail interstate or check them out if you are local to Perth. If you just wanted the pilar pod you can get them on ebay.
gday ronny, planning a sand trip and got almost the exact same cruiser as you, just wanted to know what kind of milage you get out of it sand driving, cheers
you can still access the beaches anywhere from wedge to grey. If you are talking about between Lancelin and Wedge then you can only use the beach run the entire way. the inland tracks are closed and have been for years as its now strickly defence forces land.
Too bad we can't get GMC 2500 HD's for decent prices in the Aus market. I'd rather a 2005 GMC 6.6 Duramax anyday. I won't say no to a Cummins or a F-series either.
***** Yeah, it's definitely a shame Toyota won't import them to the North American market. I'd love to get my hands on a 79 series. Toyota feels there is no demand for them in the US market. I feel they are sadly mistaken. I'll settle for a 100 series and make it capable as best as it can be...for now :)
***** As much as I'd love a 70-Series, the market for them in the US would be fairly limited. The African models with the old engines are still $50k, and the models we'd have due to our emissions laws would be 60-70k. And at that price range they'd be competing against our domestic pickups with the luxury packages featuring premium sound systems, extra sound deadening materials, leather interiors, GPS, blind spot detection, etc. American's like the posh stuff. We don't even get compact trucks anymore. We have "mid-size" trucks which get bigger and closer to full size trucks every year. Of course the full size trucks get bigger and more impractical too. -.-
What are these like once raised? Very unstable? They look very skinny. I am considering getting a 76 Series, maybe next Friday in my 2012 BT-50 3.2 sells. After owning the BT though, it is pretty amazing offroad and stability-wise. I've had the ECU remapped and pushing 180kw and 650Nm. Tows 3T easy and the fuel-injection system is so efficient. I only hope the 76 is as good - stability wise as I am only changing for long-term heavy towing.
Take one for a test drive to get a feel of it, but if its off road stability you are talking about then yeah they are good, More stable than the hilux I previously had (off Road). Towing your fuel economy wont change much, towing or not towing it remains almost the same. There is no gearing down for hills she will just pull straight up it ;)
Nice. Yeah, I was asking about side-angles during 4x4 etc. I fly up to Brisbane this weekend to pick one up. I like the "take one for a test drive" comment.... yeh... that's if a Toyota dealership HAD one to test-drive..!! lol. Not one in my area had a demo, and weren't willing to let drive the floor stock. They told be to "find someone who owned one and ask to drive it". They said "They are that good you don't need a test drive... you just order one". I will never deal with my surrounding area Toyota dealerships again. Cheers
Nice. I am looking at a KW-Systems chip and either a FMIC or a W2A TMIC. The 3" exhaust will be going on as soon as I pick it up and drive off the showroom on Saturday. I know they only have 430Nm, but I guess it's true rotating-mass torque that won't get worn down easily. The BT-50 3.2 is pretty good, and once chipped absolutely hauls. But whilst towing hard it gives 17-20L/100 economy, and I know the VDJ76R will give 15-17L/100 which says it's not labouring as much. I've got a 3.2 Tonne caravan to tow all around Oz.
paul konstantine the exhuast is Manta 3 inch pipe straight trhu, blows no black smoke at all, just chipped it with the unichip that video will be uploaded on Thursday avro if things go well.
It's weird seeing a right hand steering wheel on video... Cuz i've never seen one in real life... It's like a myth. I would be freaking out when and if I get to drive one ever

They say you can’t buy happiness. But you can buy a Landcruiser ute, and that’s pretty close...
It’s better to be happy internally and buy a landcruiser after, happiness + pleasure (;
What do you mean it's pretty close?? It is happiness
So 50 grand and 6 years later, you are back to the same spec!!! Well done geezer!
I love the sound of this v8 land cruiser
I want one so bad
If life was fair I could own one of these in Pennsylvania
The Australians have the coolest vehicles.
They say you can’t buy happiness. But you can buy a Landcruiser ute, and that’s pretty close...

I'm so bummed these never made it to the states.....oh well in a couple decades maybe I can import.
How do you make the car sound like that? Its a diesel but gah dam it sounds like a petrol V8!!! Pure magic :)
That’s just how the v8 sounds and it’s diesel. The v6 land cruiser sounds like a normal Ute but the v8 sounds like a lambo
king of trucks
I loved my Land Cruiser, then it rusted away to nothing 😂
Best car un the wourld. Best car in the world . Évry time un de beautiful compagnie it is Toyota everyday waouh

i wish we had the diesel land cruisers here in the states.
Or just even that style :(
I wish we had rugged, cheap land cruisers in North America
Sean Janssen nothing cheap about these 79 series cruisers...
they are expensive in Australia, not in the Middle East
Also in Europa
V8 turbo cool!!
Really good
Cool video
I wish we could get this in the US. :(
Ok I know it won’t be the same but I’m having powerflow exhaust fitted to my 3.0 twin turbo Amarok and my trailhawk grand Cherokee
The Hilux with this v8 would be a beast!
Wow so amazing cars
This my dream truck! This is where TOYOTA needs to be

put a set of sunraysia steel rims with rear rims offset to match the front track and see the difference
rolly buegge if you look closely the wheels are offset to match the tracking. Steel rimx are just added rolling weight, alloys are better.
Hi Rudi, I weighed a factory alloy with a tyre and a steel with a tyre and the difference is very marginal
Is that the factory exhaust or an aftermarket one? Transforms the sound of that V8.
Yeah definitely considering one. What mods do you have if you don't mind me asking? Is most of it ARB?
Was it still running the factory diffs in this vid? Or was the JMACX one already installed?
I would love to have this in america
Did he do that in high range?
What size lift and tires are on the car?
She's a beauty 👌

V8 Turbo Diesel....... thats the answer to all your offroading questions....
How much would cost me to purchace a 6x6 LC 79 series .?
Also what is the exhaust set-up you are running. 3" straight through, cat, muffler? Is it tuned as well, - Steinbauer, KW-Systems? Cheers.
Do they sell these in Europe?
Ronny where can i buy the 2 x52mm gauge pod for pyro and boost gauges to fit dual cab 2015 landcruiser ?
Mark Pankhurst SS auto repairs in WA do the entire kit and can mail interstate or check them out if you are local to Perth. If you just wanted the pilar pod you can get them on ebay.

this is before access was denied to those beaches? or can you still go there?
you can still access the beaches anywhere from wedge to grey. If you are talking about between Lancelin and Wedge then you can only use the beach run the entire way. the inland tracks are closed and have been for years as its now strickly defence forces land.
Too bad this LC don't make it to the US market...

id beg to differ aswell. the 79 series would a very popular truck over there! i got an 80 series turbo diesel multi valve. best trucks :)

AWESOME!

Is that with the single 3" exhaust or dual now?
Chris Bushney it is now a dual Redback system
Isn't this up by greys?
+watsit man yep it sure is mate, good spotting

waaaaw the engine sound Like Tahoe 0:15
Ronnie, does the 3inch exhaust start after the catalytic converter?
cool truck
Trail Grapplers👍👍👍
он даже не думал напрягаться. это вам не AWD
Do you have a chip/tune as well or just exhaust?
Exhaust only with 35's, there is plenty of power from stock. If you chip it the gains are awesome. I hope to find out myself soon enough.

Who's ready to apply for Australian Visa?
Love it
It looks better with the flatbed on it.
“Oh... there was a hill there?”
Wish we could get these trucks as is in the States! These Toyotas would put Ford, Ram, Chevy out of business for such a crap product!🤠🍺 👍
It's weird seeing a right hand steering wheel on video... Cuz i've never seen one in real life... It's like a myth. I would be freaking out when and if I get to drive one ever
Arizona sands are a lot more slippery
If someone asks me what is the perfect zombi survival vehicle, i would say TLC79, yes and with no cough
do you think can't be possible to have one of those trucks if you ordered from USA ronny
+Javier Cruz no only if they are 25+ years old. U.S. customs wil crush any vehicle newer. You'd have to order an older version.
Hi
beast
V8 sound 😍😍😍😍
