As an INTJ, for me, the death stare comes when Ni takes over complete control of my mind; my body goes haywire and I even forget to blink. It is like a very heavy computation that takes control of your entire RAM in your laptop, and it forces other applications to slow down or completely stop. You are so focused on this one particular scenario, that no force on earth can make you stop, and when an answer or an idea finally emerges, you snap back into reality and you look away.

The part about death stare being the normal look of entj and estj is hilarious, and you make it more so XD
Explanation about INTJ floating away mid-conversation is spot-on.
And I want to add my own description of the inner state of the INTJ death stare as that I am trying to see clearly and seriously. I am trying to keep emotions away from clouding what I see so that I don't end up with non-sense in my judgement and action.
I tried not to scrutinize people. But now that I think about it, I may have repressed myself unwisely, because I have been terribly deceived time and again.
Careful taking in and getting lost processing. Is that why we are considered deep?

Adding the death stare is more than most can handle. Good. Keep walking...
After decades of being completely misunderstood, my piercing eyes being their primary trigger, I find it a confounding paradox, that I have to understand their dysfunctions: _No One EVER_ has asked me anything... they just assume, pass judgement based on those inaccurate assumptions, then act out emotionally... & EXPECT ME to adjust my ocular operations to appease THEM... & I'm the SOB WHEN I DON'T!!! Well... News FLASH!!!... those "appeasement adjustments" are NOT part of my obligation in ANY context. _I am who I am... I am what I am. Even a chill weightlifter guy who was one of the most swole in my grade has told me that I scare him, even though I'm not even trying to be scary and he could easily fold my clothes with me still inside them. 2:14 This reminds me of one time when my great uncle (istj) and I (intj) are both sitting in the backyard enjoying the sun and the other family members are playing cards, we seemed like we were both zoned out, but somehow he still realized what's going on around him and what's going on with those playing cards, but I was completely zoned out. ISTJ has a certain kind of death stare as well, that's why when I talk to an ISTJ, I don't directly make eye contact, it feels like they can see right through me as well. My ISTJ great uncle once said to me, "We are the same, you see me the way as I see you." :) scary. It's funny tho, now I realize that I barely make eye contact with others when I talk to people, but when I do, mostly because I try to analyze the person in front of me, or because I was angry and I find my death stare pretty effective and energy saving, I don't need to say a word, but I knew they are intimidated.

So I am not broken I’m just very unique/rare/different? Really good news for god sake I always thought I was insane or my brain just wasn’t as good as other people or what I would tell to myself for example was “aw dude you came faulty out of the fabric” LOL but in reality I am a fucking dangerous weapon now I know this yay! They should teach you this in school!

I would be INTJ or INTP, i don't death stare so much, i would describe as staring into space, i also make very poor eye contact. What would that be? I've always thought it was rude to stare, is this learned or instinctive. I don't remember much of my childhood maybe i did do this alot at one point? I would describe me going into this headspace as an extremely easily derailable train of thought. Minor distractions will fuck me over while that happens.

I find it hard to tell apart the Fi dom vs. the Ti dom when it comes 'to mental processes and 'the stare' based on your explanation. I do not have sufficient real-world data as I only know 1 INTJ and 1 ISTP intimately. Based on these 2 people, I can only say the ISTP tends to look away and looks like they are updating a mental database and do not want eye contact to come in the way of disturbing that process; while the INTJcan while looking at you. Both have an 'intentional' type of stare ie. looking for information. to consume. Would that be an accurate description?

I reall think you're confusing a few different things here.
    1. From observation, all NJs have what I'd call an Ni stare and it has nothing to do with Te. Ni is lazer focus and NJs possessing high Ni, all have the capacity to stare daggers, for lack of better phraseology.
    2. The so called INTJ death stare may also look like we're very angry or hostile, not merely detached, even though we're just chilling in our Ni world.
