      I always thought Bloomington and Normal were the same town when I'd see the signs on I-90.
      I live out by Seattle now and the lack of Bears fans and merch pisses me off.

      Mate, it's not common for 'y' used as a vowel pronounced as 'yi'. It's normal to think it's pronounced either as the 'y' consonant or 'ih' - a short, sharp vowel sound. It's not a frequent Anglophone pronounciation.

    Wisconsin is legit a party state, I have never been to any place in my state that doesn't sell alcohol or cheese curds. That's what I thought about when he was describing the Midwest, Beer and Cheese.

      A few examples: Auchenshuggle, Auqurhorthies, Bury, Carlisle, Fazakerley, Fingringhoe, Goosnargh, Heckmondwike, Heglibister, Nanpantan, Oswaldtwistle, Titaboutie, Worcestershire, Yockenthwaite...
      Try & type one/some of them back phonetically as a reply if you want...

      charszilla I never have a problem pronouncing things like town names. They are all based off of different dialects of basically the same language, like everywhere. It really is not that hard at all.

      Sam Wilson I cant wait for fall ;) Let's be honest though, 65 is more like mid-September. Around here the highs around 49 beginning in late October and snows can happen from then through April. But I love it cold anyway!

    Just realized... they pronounced Ypsilanti wrong AND put it in the wrong location. We're not at the very bottom of Michigan, guys, we're closer to Detroit at the base of the thumb. (I live in Ypsilanti)

      PupCake1025 the midwest sucks because the winters are cold as hell but the summers can be just as hot as southern states, plus it gets humid really easily.
