@@TheAppleBias Brian, there’s always a lot of speculation about Apple products but based on your experience, do you think they’ll go for a round watch? I sure hope not. I like the way it’s shaped.
I'm still using the Ultra 1 myself & my battery is at 100%, after about 15-16 months. I just use the button for the flashlight as well, as it seems to be the best for me. I have to add that my watch still looks like new & I work in a really rough environment.
That’s awesome. I run the betas on mine all the time. Which had probably reduced my battery life a little fast than most. Flash light does seam like the best option for the action button.
@@TheAppleBias, me too run Beta and same 18 month , my battery 99% , maybe I should use the optimised future, I use a fan when I am installing firmware to cool it down 😅, I fall from my bike few months back it put quite deep scratch on the casing but nothing on the screen, I use a 2000 grade sandpaper its works, the scratch smooth out
@shaf3006 yeah it is what it is. Mine is down to 91% now. But even on watchOS 11 I was still able to get a little over 36 hours on a single charge. And I’m happy with that.
I upgraded from the series 7 to the ultra 2. I absolutely love this watch. I can go 3 days between charges. Love the big screen no scratches at all. Fantastic!
I upgraded to the ultra 2! Coming from an SE the new update drained the battery bad. Crazy enough where I got the ultra 2. They had it discounted cheaper than the Ultra gen 1 so I had to jump on it. So far love it! I’m in construction so knowing this watch can handle a beating is nice so far so good. My SE was so beat up metal nicks where the bands would go from dirt getting in there etc. scratched paint. Only thing I did was get a screen protector that protects the bezel as well from ESR on Amazon this protector is awesome and matches the titanium great! Yes I know sapphire but it’s just the piece of mind. One thing I will not get is a cover for the watch itself those are a rip off. Get dirt swear underneath and had this issue with my SE it actually damaged the watch instead of protecting it. Glad I don’t need on on the Ultra 2 it’s a great watch!
Nice, yeah doing construction I don't blame you for adding the extra protection, especially if it includes the bezels, but I agree the covers really don't help, Ive never used on my watches, my son has some for his SE but more for colors and styles than trying to protect the watch,
Same here.. my ultra battery health is at 98% its still like new. I purchased the new black/blue trail loop and everyone thinks it’s the latest one.. i’ve also got the series 9 since launch, and I love that also for when I don’t want a big watch on my wrist 😉
I just picked up a ultra 2 about 3 weeks ago I’m loving it the last watch I had was a series 7 which was about a year ago but I’m definitely gonna keep this as long as I can unless the rumored Apple Watch x brings something amazing
The 1st gen ultra will be good for most people for at least 3 years, possibly even 4-5 years. It’s a hella good watch! Throw in the fact that you can easily leave your phone at home and go pretty much a full day on cellular is very liberating ❤
I had galaxy Watch before and the Note phones for same years 🙂but i went back to Apple some mounths ago and got the Ultra 2 and i just love it🤩 Thank you for your great videos and reviews !! Best regards from Sweden
Glad to hear you love the Ultra 2. The Apple Watch in general truly is an amazing device. Also thanks for taking the time to watch the video means a lot.
Nice. See I still like the look for the stainless steel series watches more. But I made the mistake of selling my series 7 and of course want a series watch back now.
I’ve swam with mine a ton over the last year. No diving but I’ve seen many people use it for that too. As long as you haven’t cracked the screen or dented in the side I wouldn’t be worried about water.
@@TheAppleBias wow thanks! that’s a glimmer of hope for me. Btw, how do you clean the crown if it’s stuck? That’s the thing I’m worried coz maybe in due time the seal will wear off every time sweat gets in. I run a lot with this watch.
Maybe if it actually had topo maps and was more like the Garmin it would be a lot better. I like mine because I can read the screen easier and am ruff on my stuff and the actual apple watch is kinda delicate. Oh and get a tempered glass screen protector. Even though it's sapphire and scratch resistant, sapphire is fairly brittle and can crack when hit in the right way. The screen protector will absorb sharp impacts (to an extent).
I believe watchOS 11 is bringing some top maps to the watch. I've never cuddled my Apple Watch hit it up against many things never cracked or scratched the sapphire. Had one friend who did when he dropped the watch. But he will tell you it was all his own fault, but that's also why I buy AppleCare+ I'd rather pay for it then put cheap, but not cheap screen protector on my watch.
Do you own an Apple Watch? If so which one and what's your favorite feature of it?
Ultra and others. My favorite is Ultra. My favorite features:
Blood Oxygen
Red screen on one face
Size
Brightness
@justmy2pesos nice yeah I turned the red screen feature off. It’s cool. But I think it trigger to often.
Still holding my original Nike s5. Chomping at the bit to justify upgrading.
@getout116 this year should be the year. I think the series 10 should be worth updating it.

Absolutely the same. And we still get the pinch gestures as the Ultra 2. 👏🏾🙌🏾 I love mine. Still looks like a brand new watch. Hella durable.

me too. i love my ultra 1

I upgraded from the series 8 to the Ultra 1 but I got the Ultra 1 for $499 so how do you beat that when its 95% the same as the ultra 2.

Brian,
1. Loved the rock climbing!
2. 98% on my Ultra as well after similar time.
Your videos rock as usual!!!
98% that’s great! Glad you liked the rock climbing. Also thanks for always watching and commenting!
Very good video and I liked a lot the intro! Good review for the Ultra after 1 year! 👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks. I had a lot of fun making it. Glad you enjoyed it.

Nice, yeah I bought the new trail loop band and have had people think the same thing. What color/material did you go with on the series 9?
@@TheAppleBiasits just the silver aluminium, 45mm because I have a lot of bands that pair very well with that colour 👍🏻
And I know what you mean when you put on a smaller watch it actually feels like I put on the 41mm watch it’s hilarious 👍🏻
@BlindGuy39 nice. Yeah that’s what my wife goes with. I always went stainless. Just sold my series 7. Plan to get the 10 this year when it’s released.
@@TheAppleBias I only ever had one stainless watch and it drove me crazy every time it got a new little scratch on it so it wasn’t for me 👍🏻
I love the original Ultra too
Everything you said I did the same, also utilize the Action button for the Flashlight ! Great video 🎉
Very cool. Yeah flashlight seems to be the best option. Glad you enjoyed the video.

Nice yeah I can’t wait to see what the X brings to the table. I’m sure I’ll be ordering it no matter what it is tho.
Rock climbing with Vans...
Yes, we believe you 😅
To be honest none of my shoes would have been any more convincing. 😂

@naturalmystic1262 😂 glad to hear.

I have the ultra 1 it’s at %92 I might have replace the battery soon but I love my watch 😊
That was a funny start ✪
Thanks! Tried to have some fun with it since the watch was advertised for the more adventurous.
I just upgraded to the Ultra 2 from the Apple Watch SE. Best upgrade I have ever done.
Nice yeah that’s a pretty massive upgrade.
Tried the Ultra three times at the store then bought it. I HATE taking it off 😅 it’s the best watch I have own. Durability functionality & style
Nice. See I still like the look for the stainless steel series watches more. But I made the mistake of selling my series 7 and of course want a series watch back now.
I have the ultra 1 too, but I’m just afraid using it underwater because I’m not sure of its seal. 😂

Apple has a guide on how to clean the watch. support.apple.com/en-us/108893
There is a section there on cleaning the Digital Crown as well.

I workout with my wife and kids 3x a week so my action button is to start a workout. My favorite feature
That’s awesome. I need to figure out a good use case
hello, now the battery lasts 1 day with the cell phone turned on, that is, use it as a phone
What’s the battery health at? Guessing it’s al ultra 1 or is it a different Apple Watch?
I got ultra 2 from my wife, we will see how it go. I have high expectation
Awesome. The Ultra is a great watch can’t take a bit of your not used to larger watches. But battery life is worth it.
