I bought some Charlotte Tilbury jumbo pencils in the sale and I bought a burgundy one which I never would've bought if it hadn't been for your videos. You've definitely broadened my colour spectrum instead of the usual brown on my eyes and nude lipstick. I wear red and darker lippy more now and, like you I diffuse it with my fingers and it makes darker shades easier to wear during the day. Same with the eyes. I'm so glad you use your fingers a lot. I've always preferred my fingers to apply eye shadow and lipstick, it's just more fun. We've got similar colouring so I've also adopted using more pink blush, just need to see if I have any pink highlighter, if not I'll buy one. Thanks Violette for your gorgeous and simple tutorials that always look amazing! What can I do if my concealer is a little too pale for me? Thanks xx

Hi Violettte,... your videos are probably the best make up videos in the whole RUclips universe and I’ve loved them since the beginning. When I’m feeling at my best I always do the blue eyes I love that look. thank you so much for your creativity and your tips! Very classy and very pretty. Kind of like the way both my mom and my grandmother taught me . I’ve been doing my own makeup since I was 15 /16 . I’m now 46 and I still love classic makeup. It literally takes me forever, though . My skin is not as perfect, lots of sunburn in my life . Ugh . If I just listened to my Dad, I have Irish / Nordic, Welsh and German. I’m very pale brunette with a lot of “ high “ color to my skin.
I am absolutely addicted to your looks -- I've tried several, to include the "cactus" eyeliner that I had purchased from Chanel a while back, that is now one of my go-to looks. I'm a bit older but these looks transcend age due to their simplicity and sophistication. Thanks Violette! I look forward to many more. XO

there's a stila deep burgundy that's very similar!
NYX jumbo eye pencil they have a great dupe of that shade! :)

As a beauty addict who used to eagerly await all of Violette’s uploads...this was disappointing, as have been the last several. I’ve seen girls from meager backgrounds do a better tutorial in their cars getting ready for work. This is ridiculous. I am also tired of the long intro and this current fad for “ less is more” minimalist living while still pushing sponsored products. Just live and let live, if makeup is somebody’s bliss they should enjoy that, just like with any other harmless hobby.
Wow no one is attacking anyone for the way they do their makeup - except you. Violette has always done tutorials like this, all her first ones were like 2 minutes long. She has a baby now so she doesn't have the time to do the longer tutorials she started doing. These latest ones seem very in line with a busy woman on the go. If you don't like it then just move on and watch something else
Gosh! I watched it and thought how easy it looked to create a glowy glam look - perfect for me to do on the train to work. As a mum of two kids I always appreciate “less is more” and Violette has inspired me to try some colours and textures that I normally assume go with a “full face” looks that I don’t have time for these days. She makes it easy to be fun and reminds me that you can get a great on trend look extremely quickly. I guess if you don’t like her you could always unsubscribe 🤷🏻♀️

Having a baby doesn’t automatically make your life and career impossible. Her content is just subpar now , compared to her amazing previous videos. Evangeline S. I agree that we've seen this tutorial many times before, it's Violette's signature go to look. While I still love watching her this tends towards laziness as we're not seeing anything new except product placement. I would love to see more of Violette using other models so we can see her interpretation of makeup on different faces. I would especially love to see her working on an older model (50+) just once to get her tips for an ageing face. I know some will say just watch other channels but I love Violette's approach to makeup and beauty and have always enjoyed her tips.
