I wasnt expecting the music in the background 😂🙈
Yeahhh a tiny part of me wishes she would get rid of it haha
Yeah, it feels super out of place on her channel!
Same!😂
Agreed. It was not congruent at all with her style. In general I find background music in these types of videos to be a distraction.
Same
I hardly ever wear foundation now since I started watching your channel. If I do wear foundation, I always wipe it off my nose. I adore all your looks! Thanks Violette
Me too!
Same.
LUXANDPUPS me too! Makes a huge difference xx
LUXANDPUPS yes and it helps to save money! I have one Cle De peau foundation and one tinted moisturizer and I try not to fall for new foundation launches.
Me too! It’s a movement!
Can you show us what you apply before starting makeup? Like moisturizer, sunscreen or something like that because your skin looks perfect even before starting 😊
Yes do you wear SPF?
I’ve grown accustomed to using my fingers to blend my eye makeup, since I started watching your videos.
This is so natural and very innocent looking. It’s very pretty.
Merci, Violette ! 🥰
I love love love your techniques, when I watch your videos I feel home! I feel me and I feel comfortable, mostly because I'm just like this all about fresh skin, glowing but because I take good care of my complexion because is the perfect canvas
I love your aesthetic. Makeup, clothes, hair,life....
The only one who stays natural in a world that wants coverage and coverage! You're so gorgeous Violette😘
Violette! The first time i saw one of your videos it was on Glossier and i was going through a bad skin phase and i remember you said that "skincare was my foundation" and that literally changed EVERYTHING! I started taking more care of skin etc etc and i even started doing the whole dont put makeup on your nose and i have never gotten so many compliments. I never though i would be in a place where i would be comfortable only wearing the smallest amount of concealer, mascara, and a tinted lip balm, but you have truly helped
Your approach and philosophy to makeup is so relatable. Thanks you for the continued inspiration😊
Your gold jewelry look amazing on your skin tone🙌🏼 also love the makeup❤️
I love that that's the most makeup you would wear. It's refreshing.
Absolutely love your style. So simple, so chic.
oh my gosh, violette this is the best makeup tutorial i've ever seen. you look absolutely beautiful and fresh! and it's more about the effect than how each individual product applies- absolutely wonderful
I appreciate your approach to makeup so much, it is refreshing to have a gorgeous, natural appearance without needing 101 different products. Applying my makeup in the morning is one of my favorite routines, it just puts me in a better frame of mind; it is instantly gratifying to enhance my appearance and uplift my mood with just a few steps. And personally, I liked the background music for this video, very bright and happy. 😊💖
This is my every day look. I have been using my finger nail to sharpen and smudge my eyeliner since I was a teen (over 20 years ago). It's the best tool for "effortless" liner.
First of all I must say I discovered your channel recently and I'm so happy I did because I've learnt so much to simplyfy my technique,to have a more natural make up and better results as a make up artist. The only Thing that shocked me in this video is what you did on min 2:52 ... Other than that , I really enjoy whatching your videos
I adore everything about you violette❤️ you are a blessing to us!! So calm, humble and confidently beautiful!! I ordered your collection few days ago(m a bit late) but I’m totally excited to have them 😊 lots of love and good wishes to you. Keep shining love🌸
lisa timsina que coleccion tiene violette // can you explain me that collection have our beauty Violette pleasse (dress or make-up?)
Johana Veronica Violette- estee lauder poppy sauvage collection (it's make up, she shows it in her latest videos)
Her poppy sauvage collection of makeup(lipsticks, blush kit, eyeshadows) with Estée Lauder.. u can check it online in their website.. seems amazing to try :)
I have terrible reactions to most foundations as well, and I have gotten to the point where I can only wear mineral foundations. I really appreciate seeing your videos which show that we don't have to wear layers upon layers of product to look and feel beautiful!
I love your content and channel! Ever since I started watching you, I’ve been wearing way less makeup and feeling more beauty off because I’m not covering up! My family and boyfriend had been saying how much prettier I look without as much makeup because you can actually see me, not makeup! I love the French beauty standards and your techniques!
Removing foundation from the nose is the best trick you ever taught! I love doing this and I can see what a dramatic difference it makes. Thank you!!
ur outfit always on point
u r my inspiration for real❤️
I LOVE & ADORE your videos. You show women we do not have to wear tons of makeup to look complete and most of all BEAUTIFUL. Especially in the summer time. 😘
I love that you always show us your outfit! Please, please keep doing that!
since the day i found your channel and all of my makeup have changed i`ve became more confident to wear natural looks and no foundation or concelar
Yess please!! I'd love to see from you how to cover all of the spots, wrinkles, etc of my skin and still look natural :( Of course if I had a skin like yours I would't use much makeup either, I have so much to hide :D though. I hope you can make it. Thank you very much!
I'm not really feeling the music :/
willy wonka sAME OMG
willy wonka q
Ever since i found you in utube, i start to show my skin more instead of hiding them under tons of foundation and I really am surprise at how fresh i look like. And my skin too, improving. I dont know why but i guess because my skin “breath” more? Thanks Violette 😘
The idea about leaving your nose uncovered is nice but not suitable for people with pink, translucent skin. For us, every change in temperature, or even emotion turns the nose red because there is no pigment in the skin to cover the blood vessels that naturally expand with heat, and the skin is thinnest in those areas so there is no fat either. I only cover my nose, a bit of the chin and forehead because if I have a hot cup of coffee, those areas are bright red. If my cheeks are a bit pink, I can live with that so that I don't look too made up.
Pencilfriend Paperscribbler true
You aren't the only one, i love the idea of not wearing foundation on the nose but i can't i have freckles and is pinky so i do wear bit.
gorgeous, as always :)
Thank you! Seeing all the subtle things you do makes such a difference in the overall look.
The music actually gives happy vibes to the video😄
Obsessed with your videos!!! You’re my favorite person to watch do makeup! I never wear makeup hardly ever, but your videos are so relaxing and calming to watch!❤️ I’d love to see a hair tutorial for your top knot in this video! So simple and chic!
Love this! Thank you for teaching me to easily play with skin texture rather than pushing to contour. I feel a lot more confident in my own skin and I take less time in the morning ❤️
always impressed by your impeccable locations! thanks for the makeup tips!
Yeeees! I love Tatcha's Silk Canvas! Very fresh look! Great video Violette!😊 💕💕
It is so refreshing to finally watch someone who is passionate about natural, enhancing makeup as opposed to looking like a drag queen. Love your explanations too! Subscribed 💕
Violette, I love the work you and your team produce. The makeup...the music...the editing...the styling...the wardrobe💋 I have a favour to ask, would you consider filming a tutorial with a mature over 50yo model? I would love to see your techniques and advise for someone of my age. Fingers crossed.
The makeup, the hair, and the outfit. 😍😍 God daamnnn
Je t'aime Juliette! Tu es une source d'inspiration pour moi
Thank you for the foundation explanation! I know a lot of us were complaining on why you never use foundation for us who struggle with redness/acne scars.
Beautiful Violette. As if the make up wasn't perfect enough you walk out in an amazing outfit from an amazing apartment !! Love your films 💕💕💕
Beautiful Violette ...I love the "enhancement" of you, not the "alteration" of self that so many women do! 💗🙏🌺
i love this Violette since i always love more natural makeup
Lol. Honestly, i just had my prom party. Everybody is looking like queens with full coverage makeup and blinding highlighter. And there's me, no makeup and glowy look. Lol. Watching your video gives a huge impact on how i do my makeup. Luv ya!
i love lanolips ! i like your nose idea i beleive it! so fresh girl xoxo
Literal perfection
the avoiding ur nose trick really does wonders
Love your tutorials so much! So doable and natural!
Pink cheeks and brown eyeliner love this kind of look and its my go to makeup look 😍❤👌
I love leaving my nose bare so my freckles don't get hidden. It's such a great tip to keep from looking too covered up!
I don't know of you have already, but you should do those "get ready with me"/ "my morning routine" video with Vogue ❤
Perfect! Loved it, I try to keep my make up as minimum and natural as possible and this is exactly why I love your tutorials 💕 😊
simple and beautiful!!!!💋💋💋
Loved this video! I'd love to see you do a "non-natural" or beat makeup look, like full glam. Your skin is so naturally beautiful, but for me i have to completely cover my skin because i have rosacea, dark circles, hyper pigmentation and acne. I'd love to see that.
In love with the make up and outfit as usual!
I GASPED when I saw how much of that colourpop highlighter she layed down initially. I'm amazed at the end result though, super glowy and somehow natural?? Magic
I love your simplicity so much Violette! Thanks for sharing your style and feeling of makeup!
I'm blessed with such a red nose with quite obvious pores (thanks genetics) is there a way I can get it to look natural when covering it up? I wear pretty light make up on the rest of my face but it needs extra attention. Love the video as always x
I'm the same. I have a few friends like me. It was bad as a kid and then I got my nose broken and had to wear a splint on it for a couple weeks and now the pores are even bigger. I don't wear foundation on any part of my skin EXCEPT my nose. I also have to have concealer under my eyes because now I have permanent black under eye circles.
I'm also the same, so I dab a bit of powder because any tinted cream sinks into the pores and is embarrassingly visible. I always leave the tip of my nose untouched though.
Love you but hated the music :( its so ordinary, ce n’est pas violette
psishik same!
It was a bit distracting for me personally. I still loved the video. : )
whenever i tell anyone that i dont wear foundation and that i actually hate it they look at me like i have 3 heads haha. love ur videos! so effortlessly beautiful and chic!
Your house is so beautiful! Would love to hear you share more about it!
She’s so effortlessly chic. Her hair her makeup her jewelry! Life isn’t fair🤷🏻♀️🙃
love your style!
Ah I love your style
You know ! this job 💕💕💕💕 thank you for your perfect suggestions especially on contouring etc.
It's so nice!! Will definitely try this one as i have red acne scars and dark eye circles that make me look kinda unclean and tired. Thank you violette!!!! 💞💕
you should do a what I eat in a day. I know it's not really what you do but please do it especially during a busy day to see how to keep up.
Really like this look!
Hi violette! What we can do to cover up acne skin or acne scars and holes without look cakey...your advice would be highly appreciated.
Fede ct I'm not a makeup expert, but maybe use a pore filling foundation under your foundation. It will most likely smooth out your skin a little bit
Thank you marwa but sometimes it's not enough to cover up dark spots and skin texture, but l'm such a big fan of violette and i would like to see how she deal with it
Fede ct lisa eldridge did an acne cover up tutorial she also has a flawless skin tutorial which is very practial and looks super fresh and natural you might find it helpful
Oh yeah, and Desi Perkins has a really good video on how to cover up severe acne
I am afraid you can only cover up the acne redness and scars but not the texture. I would advise you to focus more on your skin care since that is the only one that can help to make a difference. For scars, you can try acids such as AHAs, for hyperpigmentation you can try C vitamin or niacinamide, for the acne you can use products with a low concentration of salicylic acid, and you can also change your eating habits (avoid dairy, sugars, and processed foods). It takes a couple of month before you start seeing results, but the wait is worth it :)
I will absolutely need this tomorrow after travelling all week 🙋🏼♀️❤️
I feel happy the second I hear your voice, its magical!
This may be SUPER obvious advice, but hopefully it helps someone: To everyone asking about having a red nose and/or large pores and not being able to leave it bare, I found that leaving your cheeks bare creates the same ‘does not look like you’re wearing (much) foundation look’ that she was talking about, even though they’re not the centre of your face. You can also skip your forehead if it’s a good skin day and just powder it for oil. I used to apply my foundation all over my face without even thinking about it, but now I only do to my nose and chin and around my eyes (both concealer + a thin layer of foundation) and it looks much more natural. You do need a foundation that is veeery close to your forehead and cheeks’ skin tone so that there’s not a super obvious line where the makeup ends, and then just blend it out well. Most of us who have red noses probably have flushed cheeks too, so hey, now not only are you wearing less foundation, you don’t have to buy blush anymore either ☺️
Hi loved ur videos , could you please make video of makeup basic with ur techinque so we would get hang of proper placement of products on skin, I know there are already manu but really loved ur style.
Dear Violette Grey, I am waiting for your wedding day makeup analysis from other bloggers. Your makeup techniques changed my game. It's the same with me, I don't feel like using too much products either but ofcouse you are way beautiful.
I would LOVE to see a lookbook from you Violette :D
Yeasss, another video))) long awaited!
I love you!! You’re so effortless!!
So beautiful! Your techniques have seeped into my daily routine
This look is gorgeous on you!
I would love to see how you apply make up on a problematic skin, as I know that it would still look natural. I love your style, it is really inspirational ☺️
Yay thank you for making this!! :) Was very looking forward to this video~
Happy to watch this video and you made my day, as usual ❤️
Very instructional video and I liked the background music.
I actually don't mind the music. It's kind of cute. Your makeup tutorials are very inspiring even though it's not applicable to me. I have oily/acne-prone/redness skin, so I need a lot more coverage to hide my red marks and wouldn't be able to pull off a lot of what you do, but I still enjoy watching.
Omg i never put anything on the top of my nose bc of the same reason, so good to know that I’m not the only one that thinks like that
Always in agreement with you Violette!
Absolute fave
Très naturelle. J'adore. Un maquillage qui te ramène en France. Bisous 😘
if I had a skin like that I’d never wear foundation! And I love the “raw” look on the nose
thank you. You have a good day too. sorry i love contouring wont stop. It brings fun excitement et joy. you used the multi purpose milk blush lip. Hopefully you cleaned it in between
yay new video
At 0:34 she’s like ‘I’m even tired of putting on makeup’ 😂
I love this look! I've already added the lip & cheek products to my wish list. lol
This is damn beautiful
I like the idea os the 'leave the nose'-tip, but my nose always gets red - around the nosed down the bridge of it. Any tips?
So simple yet so beautiful 😍
I would love to keep my nose bare because all you said made so much sense but my nose is always really red (in spring and summer because of allergies and in the winter and autumn time because of the cold) and I think it really looks weird when I have a pretty and even complexion but then my nose screams rudolph..
Beautiful! You’re techniques have been so useful to me thank you :)
I just used this technique for my foundation..wow!! Feeling glowy and fresh, which is hard to do as I just had a baby! xo 😘
Ooo I loved the techniques. I actually learned some great tips. Yay..
