I did it! I'm so happy! He's got a little round butt and everything! It was hard (I'm new to origami), but I was able to do it with your instructions. I love the format of this video. You do everything slowly and let us see the paper between each step. You also have arrows, lines, and dotted lines to help us know where to fold. The copper paper you're using has a lot of contrast between the two sides, which helped make it easier to clearly see what was happening. Thank you!

I tried to understand why my paper keeps folding screwed up, then I realised that it’s actually something like 5:4 aspect ratio, it’s something like 10x11cm 😅

This shape of this one reads as a red panda for me - I wonder if the facial markings pattern could be created with folding? I imagine flocking one side of a white sheet with deep orange fibres.

Not cat, insects are one of the most complicated design. You do need a lot of planning and flaps to make the legs, wings, etc,..
