One key thing I wanted to know, that was not covered here, was how far away we are capable of focusing the required magnetic fields. If you have to surgically implant all the required coils just to have any hope of moving the bots where you want them, or manipulating the bots effectors, it does not seem like a win for me. But I don't know if there are ways you can overlap fields from a distance, sort of "lensing" the magnetic fields to focus from outside the body.

Erm last I checked, a PS4 controller just plugs into Windows 10 and works. You don't get the touchpad mapped to mouse or the gyro mapped to mouse, but it otherwise works out of the box.

It reminds me about microrobots from ”The Invincible” , a science fiction novel by Polish writer Stanisław Lem, published in 1964.
